I needed a relaxing pedicure and decided to finally stop in for a basic pedicure (no gel). I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon as a walk-in. It was busy however, they graciously took me immediately. I was advised to pick my color first. They have an entire wall for nail polish and the polishes are organizd by brand. I love that! It made it so easy to find what I was looking for and even be enticed by others. I walked over to the pedicure chair and waited for my tech. Within a few minutes she came over and greeted me and began the service. Prior to her coming over, she had been working by the sink cleaning implements, placing them into a bag, and then into a sterilizing machine. That is not an appropriate way to sanitize or sterilize equipment. They should be using hospital-grade disinfectants or an autoclave machine. But back to my pedicure. She began with the usual process of cutting down my nails and filing. They use disposable nail files and buffers, which I appreciate. At one point, she used a nipper to clean up my cuticles and surrounding area but she used an odd technique of clipping the corners of the big toe. I think that was her way of probably addressing some of the debris or tissue in the corner. As we went further into the pedicure, I noticed alot of poor technique which looked like plain laziness. For example, she buffed my nails with a quick swipe of each nail. It was almost like brushing dust off your hand with one swipe. You could clearly see that only a section of each nail had been buffed. But wait, the foot scrub was just as quick. She applied the scrub, rubbed twice and rinsed it off. Finally, she ended the service with a timed massage. It lacked proper technique and felt more like a foot rub. I cant help but think they give such a sub-par service only because it was basic. Had it been a spa pedicure, which costs more, I think they put a little more effort. If not, I would've been pissed if I paid for that. Once completed, I was led to the dryers where I sat for a few minutes. When I was ready to leave, my nail tech came over to collect payment. They accept cash, card, and applepay. My pedicure cost $36 which was similar to what I usually pay elsewhere. In regards to the facility, the decor was modern and spacious. All of the equipment appeared clean and up-to date. Overall, the outcome of my pedicure was good and it lasted a significant amount of time, but the overall service was rushed, in my opinion. I would not return unless it was the only option around.

This was a first pedicure here as I usually went to Cozy Nails down the block which is cramped, crowded and glaringly lite with harsh fluorescent lights and where one of the owners Ruby is rude and abrasive in how she speaks to her clients. Additional positive comparisons are that there is no surcharge to use one's credit card at Elegance Nails and one gets a "Frequent Flyer" card that entitles one to a free pedicure after paying for ten. The owner also walked around asking his clients if they were comfortable or wanted bottles of water? All things not done at Cozy Nails, so Ruby, thank you for haranging me and telling me to "find some nice new nail salon." The lady who did my nails was extremely rude and i wish I knew her name. Legitimately started screaming at me while I was doing my nails and I had to ask her why she was screaming. Clearly did not know how to do gel, I was yelping in pain the whole time. The process took forever, and she had to remove the polish and restart twice. The nails looked like shit the minute I walked out and broke later. She also kept curing gel on my skin and would tell me I was wrong and be rude for complaining. 0/10 would recommend save your money and your time.

I was like yeah nobody does that but even if they do that, it should be 3% which should be like 45 cents , and she said, very loudly, "you no like it you can go somewhere else". I know, right?
