But now I am just a donor to their shop and I really enjoy knowing my various donations will not go unused. So I called to see if the could use wallpaper and told me they would even take an operas roll in addition to the two still sealed. Lots of great reuse items available! All of it has been donated by the public and it changes periodically, although there always is a stash of basic art supplies. Fiber, yarn, painting, wood, metal, plastic, glass and tons of kid stuff, crayons, colored pencils, marker, glue, paper, scrapbooking, canvases, art books, etc. There is more there than I listed, including stuff like Velcro, sewing needles, sewing machines!, knitting needles, crochet hooks, felt. This place is incredibly cool. I heard about it from a gal pal years ago and am kicking myself for not coming in sooner. The purpose for today's visit was to donate some fabric (some received as a gift, and some little swatches received when considering a new sofa). These were accepted at the donation station and I was awarded with a coupon for use towards an in-store purchase. I could not believe my eyes as I walked around. If there's a craft you have in mind they most definitely have some if not all of what you need. There were wine corks, buttons, knick knacks, picture frames, yarn, and even a sewing machine and dollhouse. All at affordable rates. I snagged 10 greeting cards (10 for $1 as they did not have a preassigned envelope), and then hunted for envelopes that would work (.05 cents each). A little over whelming the variety of stuff but they are really laid back, the items are kind of unevenly priced so on something's you'll get a great deal and others not so much but it's really nice to be keeping these tre as res from the trash and giving the apart supplies another shot at art. read more

This place is fantastic and as someone who was born here, it feels like my hometown. I love the recycling aspect both as a place to leave my leftover bits and pieces and as a place to shop. You never know exactly what you will find but the prices are fantastic and it's so nice to be able to get just a few things that you will actually use instead of a package of 98 jazingles, 96 of which will take up space in your house untouched for years until one day you can't take it and throw them away (the guilt! the relief!). That said, there are complete sets and tools, but I really like the odds and ends. It's fun to take my kids and be inspired by what we find. read more

Love, love this place. I found this by chance, and the Yelp universe needs to know about it! It's a resale arts supply place. They work off of donations of new or used art supplies (there are rules around what they'll accept and sell, to provide some integrity to buyers). There's a ton of stuff inside, and I easily spent an hour looking through everything I could. I'm about to start an oil class and need a whole bunch of expensive supplies. I got lucky and found several items from my shopping list - for less than $10! They discount 30-70% off list prices, even on brand new items. Denise, who runs the operation, is so nice and awesome. She's knowledgable about the content of the store and can direct you where you need to look. It was loads of fun wandering around as a person who's tinkered with lots of art projects over the years. I will definitely be donating some items to them, because I want to support this sort of fabulous company. They donate the excess supplies to different programs and communities. And, I know they've given some local high school students gift cards when they've needed help acquiring affordable supplies for classes. I'm posting a ton of photos, look through them for an idea of what they have. Obviously, the stock will change often. It's the kind of place you want to stop by once a week! Their wide, wonderful, and weird materials include fabric, yarns, beads, papers, paints, art tools, and thousands more. What I love most are the unexpected finds-- such as bicycle gears, polished stones, old postcards, handcrafted jewelry, and metal toys. Bunches of almost everything: Frames, Paints, Canvas, Yarn, Sewing, Art Books, Prints, Paper, Vintage Clothes, Leather, Ceramic, Doll House Stuff, Tin Boxes and Banks, Etc. All is donated and the store is non-profit with excellent prices. And some curious stuff appears at times. I'm surprised they can keep up with the Boulder rents so I'm always glad to support them. A section of the store is set aside for displays of original art by local artist, worth stopping in occasionally just for that. The artist featured changes frequently so always something different. Amazing resource when the regular craft stores don't have exactly what your mind is telling you that you need. Go check it out! They have completed pieces by local artists. They have stashes of fabric and yarn, ribbon and lace, sewing supplies, paint, craft books, buttons and beads, jewelry for their parts, containers and gift boxes, and then sometimes just random 'things' that you don't quite know what they are but could be amazing in your project if you only just knew where to find it! It's on Bluff Street, off 28th (not 30th, Bluff doesn't actually go through, in the second building, past the shopping center with the aquarium store and the amazing Mediterranean grocery. The place is big, clean, and well organized. Everything is well labeled. They are not open Sunday or Monday, though they do plan to try out late Thursday hours in the near future. I love this store. I'm very creative and love tinkering in anything crafty. I've bought embroidery thread, hoops and fabric recently and started embroidering. There's so much to find there; I easily visit every week just to see what's new. Great prices on lots of good quality art supplies. They get amazing donations! I also bring my 3 year old who loves getting colorful buttons and always comes home happy with goodies: buttons, colorful paper, paint brushes, watercolors, unique tins to store all of his treasures. Just ask Denise, the owner, what you're looking for, and there's a high chance she'll have it. I highly recommend to any creative types, and donating if you have art supplies or any thing really that can be reused in art (but do check the website to make sure they take it). Extremely rude employees. They are "dog friendly" I brought my dog in. The employee approached and put a bowl of water down. We politely said no thank you. The employee said very condescendingly back to us "What, your dog doesn't drink wATER!?" We calmly and politely said due to covid, we don't allow our dog to drink from public places. Employee then stated our dog looked VERY thirsty. (Implying that we don't hydrate our dog properly.) Everyone in the store giving us a dirty look. For the record we keep water and his bowl with us at all times!!! I am a hyper vigilant dog mom and take high offense to a public accusation. After taking a step back, my mother looked at the employee and kindly said "why would you think our dog doesn't drink water ?" This was to clarify that in fact she was being condescending and not just a miscommunication. She responded with "How am I supposed to know how you "moisturize" (wrong word to begin with) your dog? That he doesn't drink plain water?" At that point I brought to her attention that her condescending and rude behavior was not acceptable. I told her I have spent hundreds of dollars at their location in the past few weeks but I will no longer be purchasing from this location. I placed my basket on the counter and left the store. She began making a joke with other customers about me as I was leaving. I told her to go ahead and joke but now I will definitely be reporting this treatment of customers on social media. The manager followed us out. I told her to not approach me yet she continued to do so. I told her I had nothing more to say and that I did not want to be approached. She continued to approach. My mother spoke to the manager . I'm not sure what was said but we were still not satisfied with the presentation of customer service and human decency. I will NEVER support this non-profit again. It is very disappointing because we like to give to non-profit organizations. Please take caution if shopping here. Extremely rude staff. Condescending. Argumentative. Insulting. Never again will I shop with them or promote their business in any way. read more

I have had the honor of volunteering at Art Parts for six months now and have gotten to know it pretty well. As a volunteer and customer, I find a good excuse to go to this store weekly to poke around and discover new and interesting artifacts donated. There is something new every time! Art Parts is an amazing resource for people to find a sustainable home for the knickknacks and doodads they've been holding onto for so long without have to throw them into the landfill. It is an excellent opportunity to get creative supplies and inspirations for projects at an affordable price. You can walk out of Art Parts with the same quality of supplies you might find at Michael's or Joanns, at 1/3 of the price. The team is super friendly and helpful in thinking of ideas on how to use the crafts you find. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking to craft without breaking the bank and who wants to keep the cost of selling their art down. An awesome store! I just happened to hear about it and then spent over an hour there this weekend. I bought over 10 different skeins of yarn and some crochet hooks. It's very well organized and easy to find different craft materials. There is a ton of variety and selection, and a lot of really good material for really cheap prices. I think a place like this is an awesome idea; so many people just throw away excess craft supplies when someone else could get a lot of use out of them. I think places like this need to exist in every city. I will definitely be coming back here every time I need more craft supplies. read more
