I was not expecting this store to be so awesome. They have things from 60s 70s 80s 90s etc. They had Rockem-Sockem Robots! They had care bears, they had Dr. Seuss books, they had OG trolls (I got three of these!). They had pinball machines. They had slinky. They had the magic eight ball. They just had too many things for me to mention, and all of them were amazing! I wish I had known about this store last Christmas-- Good thing there's next Christmas :) Their prices are quite affordable. The little trolls were a 1.50. The Dr. Seuss book was $9.99. The care Bear was $13. They have so many wonderful product products and they are displayed beautifully. It's a fun place just to walk around and look! I highly recommend you visit. The service was really good by the way. The sales clerk allowed us to walk-through and didn't pester us. There is a wide variety of eclectic toys, games, knickknacks, etc. they have several tables where you can explore/play with some of the toys and items they have for sale. This makes it especially fun for kids to have a hands on approach- not like department stores where everything is packaged and shelved. I do believe some items are a bit pricey but that's to be expected from a stand alone toy store. We did purchase two 3-D printed toys. I was hoping to get some more exciting items, but my son has taken a liking to these 3D creatures. They were $17 each, higher than when I've paid most times, but also fairly acceptable in price. The employee working made some small talk, but she wasn't entirely personable. I feel that businesses geared mainly to our children should have employees with bright and bubbly personalities. I understand that's not always a possibility, but I do feel it makes the whole experience better for everybody. The only true con to our experience was that the story reeked of cat urine. They did have the doors open with a fan blowing out, so maybe they're aware and trying to get rid of it, I'm not sure. But it wasn't a pleasant smell at all. With all that being said, we will be back. I've made note of things we plan to buy in the future lol.

Since today is their first day everything looks great, clean and neat and well stocked, and plenty of employees to help. There's a big variety of sections including toys, makeup, decor, and lots more, but my favorites are the snacks and graphic tees. For snacks the prices are close to convenience store prices so they're not a great value, but the selection is great with all kinds of things including Japanese candy and hard to find trendy items. Meanwhile the t-shirts seem like a great value at $5.55 for licensed designs that would cost $15 at Kohl's. One complaint is that this location seems to have only self checkout registers which are fine except one of my two purchases didn't ring up at the right price. The nearby employee was happy to fix it for me quickly, but it did slow things down a bit. I imagine it will go more smoothly when not crowded, and it does let you have half a dozen registers going at once instead of just one or two cashiers struggling at peak times. But to sum it up, this is a nice brightly lit store with plenty of low priced items to tempt you, and some fun things that you might not find easily elsewhere.

This location took over the old Hong Kong Market building, which makes it even bigger than the one in Houston. The store is broken into three sections in my opinion. You get blind boxes and plushy and bigger figurines in one section. In another, you get snacks, drinks, kitchenware, and stationery. Lastly, you get beauty and skincare products. I am glad to see some of the snack, drinks, and beauty products that I got in Japan are here, and they are fairly okay in their pricing if I need to get a refill or have a craving for a certain snack again. They are in their grand opening phase right now. If you see a line, it goes by pretty quickly. I think I personally only waited about 5 minutes on their second day of opening. Now, the line to check out is slightly longer. They have some promotions going on until the end of the month as well. Most of the items' prices are very decent, maybe a couple of dollars more than what you see in Japan, while there are some other items that are a lot more though. But each to their own and what you want to buy and what it is worth to you. Parking can be a pain at times. It is already a business plaza with all the other restaurants around it, and I think it will just keep getting busy as time goes on, at least for the weekend and maybe in the evening.

The biggest issue is that many of the nicest toys are displayed right where children can see them, but they're only available to members for rental and aren't allowed to be played with. Our son is almost four, and he spent much of the visit asking to play with those toys. We repeatedly had to tell him no, while the toys that were actually available to play with were often very worn, incomplete, or missing essential pieces. For example, the train set didn't have enough track pieces to build a complete layout, and there were two dollhouses (a fire station and a police station) that looked like they would have been great for imaginative play, but they were missing the figures and accessories that make them usable. A fire station without firefighters or a police station without people isn't very engaging. The entire play area felt tired and overdue for an update. Many of the toys, furniture, and chairs showed significant wear. Looking through older reviews and photos from several years ago, it seems this may have once been a much nicer space, but it doesn't appear to have been refreshed or maintained to that same standard. I think this might still be enjoyable for toddlers under about two years old, but for preschoolers, the lack of complete, engaging toys was frustrating. If the rental-only toys were kept in a separate area instead of being visible but off-limits, it would probably make for a much better experience for the children who come just to play. We really wanted to like it, but we won't be returning.

Something felt very nostalgic about it and the place gave me the warm and fuzzies like I was kid again. There were so many different rooms and activity zones that kept little ones busy and excited the whole time. Every corner had something new to explore, from play areas where kids can stimulate their imagination, to indoor slides, hands on toys, and creative play stations. It really felt like a kid's dreamland. There is also an outdoor space for the kids to play in, which was a nice bonus, and plenty of variety so children can move from one activity to the next without getting bored. It worked especially well for a birthday party since a large group of kids could all stay entertained at the same time without stepping on each other's fun. They have a designated space where parties can eat food and cake, which makes celebrating easy and organized. They had little seats for the kids to sit in, which can accommodate roughly 20-25 kids. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. The play sessions were capped at about two hours per session and the time went by fast because the kids were having such a great time. Overall, a good experience and a great spot for younger children to play and celebrate. I would definitely return again and recommend for a kids birthday if you want to keep kids entertained. My kids loved the place.

How exciting is it to FINALLY have a children's consignment store in Hutto!?…read more Tiny Texan is a family owned shop located off of CR119 in a fast developing shopping center. It's tucked away in the middle so it's a bit hard to locate at first. The parking is a bit odd cause you'll more than likely have to park directly in front of another business- and while that sounds normal, once you see it, you'll know what I mean! When you enter Tiny Texan Exchange, it is a small shop but it is full of merchandise! There is a growing selection of infant, toddler, small child, and maternity clothes. As well as toys, accessories, baby gear, and a few other bits and bobs. My son, unfortunately, did not fit anything that had to offer at the time (pre-grand opening) so we opted to purchase a couple toys! The owner was there, working hard, and holding great conversation the whole time! She loves to yap- a woman of my own heart! We look forward to selling items and hopefully purchasing clothing in the near future. At this time, they are only offering store credit for sold merchandise but for most that works out perfectly!

My daughter was super excited about this (we just dragged her through the antique mall nearby where she couldn't touch any of the collectible toys, haha). The owners are really nice and helpful. We found out that they also work with local organizations that connect them with families in need. Awesome. Great experience and will definitely be returning.
