I love floral design and having great florals for my wedding was important to me. After sharing my Pinterest board and a relatively short Zoom meeting (I was planning the wedding from Brooklyn), Abby at Bouquets of Austin immediately understood what I wanted and used her expertise to take it to the next level. While I was willing to make a proper investment, we didn't have an endless budget so the cost had to be within reason. Abby gave strategic options of how we could use our money to make the most impact and what we could pull back on to save some money. After being told by a couple of other florist companies that I needed a $3k minimum budget for my wedding flowers I was feeling overwhelmed. I did not have a wedding party so getting to 3k would have been a stretch for me. This was a great experience! I couldn't be happier with the end result. We chose to have all of our wedding flowers done through bouquets of Austin. Their attention to detail resulted in absolutely stunning flowers arrangements. Without them our wedding surely would have not been as beautiful. Not only do they make beautiful flower arrangements they were extremely professional throughout the entire process. They did a great job of communicating with us prior to our wedding. They were prompt in responding to any and all messages that we sent them. The original consult that we had with them in person was easy and informative. They took the time to talk over every arrangement with you as well as show you pictures of previous weddings that they had done. They also listened to all of my ideas and made all of my envisions a reality. She was very professional and gave me EXACTLY what I asked for. I gave her color swatches of the bridesmaids fabric and what I wanted in my alter arrangements, and she did it! Bouquets of Austin is amazing! Stephanie is an artist, but also very approachable and easy to work with. She had the best ideas. I came in with a loose idea of what I wanted and one photo I had found on Pinterest, and she worked with me to create the vision for our décor. From the centerpieces and the arbor, to the cake table and our lounge area, she had beautiful, but simple ideas that were also reasonably priced. I wanted peonies and ranunculus and she suggested adding in some fuller, but less expensive types of roses (can't remember what they're called) and other types of spring flowers to fill out the arrangements but keep costs down. I thought we would pay a fortune but BOA ended up being less expensive than every other quote we received, and the results were stunning. I was trying to figure out how to work in a bit of light blue, and she suggested painting our centerpiece pots to custom match our wedding colors. We had succulents in the lounge area and she did those for us too. Plus she provided all our candles. But the best was my bouquet--gorgeous. I got so many compliments on the décor and style of our wedding, and I owe that largely to BOA! read more

She would answer emails in a timely fashion and keep track of the different ideas and concepts I kept throwing at her during the year. Our meetings were very effective and I never felt she was pushing more arrangements than I needed or trying to upgrade me with higher priced flowers. In the beginning I was very surprised to see the price estimate of the wedding party flowers. Compared to other places I collected quotes from, BOA was the lower priced. I worked with Stephanie and BOA for my wedding and had a very nice experience. We really liked our initial consultation with Stephanie. We decided to book BOA because Stephanie understood my concept (yeah, I'm odd and didn't have "wedding colors"), provided great ideas and feedback and because BOA was surprisingly affordable. My bouquet was beautiful and my mom's "tuzzy muzzy" (the name still makes me laugh) was pretty as well. My only complaint was the hubs' boutonniere, an anemone, completely wilted and changed colors right after the ceremony. My favorite thing about working with BOA was their promptness and professionalism. First of all, at the initial meeting, Stephanie was incredibly easy-going and seemed to really be interested in creating the look that I wanted. When I told her of my obsession with misty limonium, she didn't blink an eye, just became very enthusiastic about using them as the 'filler flowers' for pretty much every arrangement used. The day of, the flowers were on time and were as fresh as can be (especially considering the wedding was in January). I can't tell you how many compliments we received regarding the flowers. After speaking with three different florists, Bouquets of Austin was the best value and seemed the most confident in executing my vision. I had one florist tell me that it would be too hard to match my colors (?!??!) and Stephanie assured me she could give me what I was looking for. The flowers on the day of my wedding turned out beautifully! The gazebo at Vintage Villas looked absolutely gorgeous and Stephanie did an amazing job with all of the details. She definitely listened to everything during our meetings, from the mix of bouquet colors in the bridesmaids bouquets to the table centerpieces, which looked exactly the way I wanted them to. My bridal bouquet seemed somewhat small for the price - but it was still pretty. My only other minor complaint is that I wish I only got sent a detailed invoice twice and they didn't review all of my final items with me - while I understand this should be my responsibility as well, I feel this is something they should confirm a few weeks before hand. I ended up paying for one or two things that I don't remember telling them that I had. Overall I would still recommend Bouquets of Austin, especially for a Vintage Villas wedding. read more

I absolutely LOVED what Becky did for my wedding flowers! I wanted jewel tone flowers (deep, vibrant colors) and she designed a gorgeous floral arch that I didn't want to ever take down! She also worked with me on creating a three tier floral chandelier. All talk and all attitude! The planning phase with Stephanie was amazing and she had great ideas. Even her price range was exactly what I was expecting, but come wedding day she was singing a different tune. I had these lemon trees that I wanted as center pieces. I knew they would be difficult to make so I was sure to bring in a picture of what I wanted and the actual vase I would be using, which I purchased myself. Stephanie told me "no problem" and charged me $80 a tree. I figured it was well worth it because it was just what I wanted. Day of the wedding the lemon trees were about 1/5 of the size we discussed. It literally looked like someone just tossed leaves and lemons ion top of a tall vase. When I asked her about it Stephanie was very rude saying "Well the vases are too thin" to which I replied "But that's why I brought them to you in advance, for you to see them and tell me you COULD do this." By no means did I let it ruin my day it was just sad because honestly they were the thing I was the most excited to see when I walked into the reception. I designed everything else around them. Oh Well. I just took it as my "something that went wrong" for the day. Then when it came to the bouquets, the flowers were gorgeous, however the presentation was horrid. No joke, my bouquet and my four bridesmaids bouquets were tossed into a cardboard box and thrown in the corner on the floor in the bridal suite. Once we dug them out (they were buried under the plastic containers for the boutonnieres and corsages) they did look nice, but having everything thrown together just made them not feel very special. I don't consider myself to be a bridezilla or difficult to please, but if I pay $1300 for flowers, I want it to feel special. This was a special day for my husband and I and every other vendor was there to help make it even more perfect.....all except the florist. The crazy thing is that she did my sister-in-laws wedding two years prior and she had warned me of the lack of presentation with the flowers, but I didn't listen. All in all I know stuff happens and things aren't perfect and if Stephanie would have just said, "I'm sorry I tried and this is the best I could do right now", or offered up something in reaction to the lemon trees, but all I got on such an emotional day was a bad attitude. I would recommend going with someone else. It was a sad let down, not because of product, but because of attitude. read more
