Amateur hour. I brought a piece here to be framed and they did a poor job. Weren't open to feedback and got combative when issues were pointed out. Told me I didn't have to pay to just take my piece back unframed, but was then forced to pay $300 for materials to take the piece. Go somewhere else. I came here because of a living social coupon but even without that discount it would have still been cheaper than any of the big box craft stores. I walked in looking for a frame for a piece of art that needed one. The man working there took the time to go through multiple frames and explain his take on what worked and why, while still listening to my input. I received the framed work and it is better than I could have hoped for. The man and woman who work there are both personable, helpful and good at what they do. So, My son moved out and we had a Daily News back page of Burt crushing Montana. Old and a weird size. Beckham and Shuki took this other than "art" piece and made it come alive. that was my 1st visit. 2nd visit was to frame a famous poster of the New York Central leaving Chicago. Also, not a regular size. When Beckham & Shuki did their artistic magic with this piece I was more than elated. You cant have your kid move out and have bare walls. If you have items you wish to have framed, there is only one place to go......Art Devons. Meanwhile, Beckham/Shuki are the most welcoming people I have met in a long time. enjoy the space that they are experts in. im here to tell you, need framing, of any ilk, you must patronize Art Devons. Also, you can have an actual conversation with these two. my 1st visit, I spent maybe an hour there. 20 minutes about my project. the rest of the time about music with Beckham. This shop is a gift. I came here because I bought a groupon for $45 to get $150 worth. Seems like a good deal right? NOT! When I walked in the door I specifically asked if the frames were in any specific price order on the wall. The man who helped me said, "No, they are all the same." This did not seem right to me but I continued to look. I picked out the frame I wanted and we picked the layout together. All I asked to get custom framed were two pieces of letter sized papers. The total amount to get these framed was $245! So, on top of the $45 i had already spent for the groupon I had to pay an extra $94. This seemed like too much money but i had already bought the groupon and invested the time in picking out the frame. So I agreed to this amount. I was told that my order would be finished that folllowing Saturday which gave him a week to finish framing my two pieces of paper. When the following Saturday arrived I thankfully called before driving 40 minutes to the store to find out that it was not finished yet and that he would give me a call Monday. Monday came and there was no phone call. I waited until Thursday and I finally called myself to find out that it was indeed finished and that "he did call me". He did not! My boyfriend and I decided to pick it up that Saturday since we work during the week. On the website the Store hours are stated as 10.30-7pm. We arrived at 6:40 and the store was already closed! We wasted our time and gas because they decided to close their store early on a Saturday. So, I had to take the time out again to drive there today. When I got there I explained that my boyfriend and I were upset that we went all the way there to find out that he closed early. His remark was, "Your boyfriend must get upset often." How rude and unprofessional. I will never come back here. read more
