I hosted 10 people for dinner here, and know that I had placed my friends in good hands. We were seated at a long table in one of the semi-private rooms. The white tablecloth, and mood lighting made for a sophisticated atmosphere. Our server was very thoughtful and on top of his game. Before everyone arrived, he added another table to the setting, saying that this way we'd have more elbow room. And the food was absolutely amazing!! An authentic blending of Mediterranean dishes. All together, a pleasant experience that made us all feel treated!!

A more upscale Mediterranean dining experience, for sure! I wouldn't recommend going in anyone's than business casual or maybe jeans and a blouse. The employees are great and welcoming. Everything ordered was perfect and it didn't take long to get the food. Make sure you save room for the super tasty baklava and almond rice pudding!

Highly recommend Artemis Bistro in Montgomery for some of the best Mediterranean food in Cincinnati. Fantastic hummus and grape leaves for appetizers, decently priced entrees, and warm and friendly service. Cozy indoor and outdoor spaces!

Hummus, pita bread,, baba ghanoush, rolled spinach pies, fatoush salad

Last minute dinner plans brought us to Artemia at 815 on a Saturday. We ordered hummus (my fav app, creamy!), baba ghanoush (garlicky), rolled spinach pies and a fatoush salad (had huge chunks of cucumber and tomatoes, dressing was OK). Pita bread was warm and spongy (in a good way/ im used to the thinner pita). My partner got the chicken/mushroom curry (first time seeing a curry on a Mediterranean restaurant menu-was so good and creamy!! Definitely big enough to share with 2-3 ppl) I got the beef (single stick with BIG pieces of ribeye) kebab plate (medium rare w/ rice and grated salad)-cooked perfectly, so flavorful & tender. I've never had white rice like this - really good, moist and simply flavored (?buttery ?olive oil? & salt). They have a House Specialties section with dishes I would like to come back and try: okra stews, baked eggplant, cabbage rolls. Great first time visit. Its location was a little tricky to find (at least the way Google maps took us). Probably easier to locate during daylight.

I was in Cincinnati on business, and I always like to try Mediterranean food in different cities. Artemis was great! Tucked away in a little village near Blue Ash, it is quaint and welcoming. I started with the Baba, which was thick and nicely smoky; with a severe gluten allergy, I could not try the pita, but they served it with cucumber slices and carrots, which provided a nice balance and crunch. The chicken kebabs were my main -- flavorful and caramel oozed nicely. They were served with plain rice and I subbed out the shredded salad for a side of the shepherd's salad l, and I was glad I did! I added feta to the shepherd salad, too, and it was just delicious! The service and staff were extremely friendly and helpful with my gluten allergy; I would definitely come back here again, and recommend it if you're in the area.

Food was insane. I was blown away by the beef kebab, juicy, tender, seasoned perfectly, I couldn't eat enough of it. Tasted like the Mediterranean. Everything else was just as good but my fav were the cheese rolls. Our lovely waitress gave us all the recs. And the place is upscale and chic. Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I can't praise this place enough! My wife and I came in 45 minutes before close on a Saturday night. We are skeptical when it comes to dining out, but our skepticism was washed away almost instantly upon entering the establishment. The hostess created us promptly, and immediately cleaned and reset a table. We were sat in less than 5 minutes. We ordered the falafel appetizer that rivals some of the best we had in Istanbul. We had the mixed grill, the chicken was very flavorful and succulent, the lamb was among the best I've had since I was in Crete. Finally I am a connoisseur of baklava... this is among the top 5 I've ever had... warm, flakey, and not overly sweet. Aside from the food the owners are sweet, hardworking, hands on owner/ operators. If I lived anywhere near the area I would definitely become a regular!

Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.

After a Great Clips haircut, on the recommendation of the stylist, I tried it out, was very impressed. Been there many times since, never been disappointed. I've since moved to Liberty Twp. but the Phoenician still beckons. Had dinner last night there with my wife. It was a wonderful experience. I felt it was high time I wrote them up. We started with an excellent double-hop IPA and a great Lebanese red wine, I think it was called Kefraya. Gonna seek it out locally, maybe at Jungle Jim's. As always, the pita bread is fresh, oven-hot and delectable. The shankleen appetizer is outstanding, a lovely fusion of greens, lentils, feta cheese, olive oil and spices. Wife ordered schwirma - slow-grilled combo of sliced chicken alongside sliced beef and lamb. The waiter obligingly substituted a side of couscous for rice, no extra charge. I had a braised shank of lamb in a rich tomato sauce. Both entrees were delicious. As always, the portions were very generous, so we took food home along with complimentary fresh pita bread. Besides the great food, the service is superb. The owner makes a point of stopping at each table to ensure that the diners are happy. We look forward to our next visit.

Super fresh and the bread that came with it was so good. Even the dipping sauce was amazing. My Shawarma chicken was super delish. You have to put the garlic butter on the rice! It gives it great flavor. My Mr enjoyed his meal as well. We definitely had to get a to go box because there was so much food. But we will look forward the next day to eat it. We are in town visiting and we went there for a nice meat meal after several days of dairy on the road. There were 6 of us at the table with 2 children. If I lived in town I would not be going back. They had 1 waitress working the entire place. She was kind enough but all she did was make excuses. We sat down at 6:15 and we did not get our hummus appetizer, which apparently they ran out of soon after, until 7:15. When we arrived there was only 2 tables occupied so it was not bustling. I am not sure how or why it took so long to prepare Hummus but given the ingredients I could have scratch cooked our entire meals in a fraction of that time. Again, when we arrived there were 2 other tables of 2 and maybe 1-2 small orders picked up during out time there. During our visit they had several more groups come in, some served before us, some getting the constant refrain, "we are out of this." It seems like there was 1 chef in the kitchen preparing all the food on their own. It is also highly problematic that they had 2 small children sitting there for an hour with not even a little bread or anything. We had to push the waitress to get the hot dogs out so they would calm down. As for the food, most of it was OK. The ribeye was properly cooked. The braised short rib was tender with a little wine flavor. The kids hot dogs were hot dogs. The chicken schwarma was flavorful. The Israeli salad was what you would expect. The green beans were overcooked, unseasoned and tasted like nothing. The worst and most impressive thing was how they got the mashed potatoes to taste like they came from a powder out of a box. I don't often leave something completely uneaten but they were inedible. How you can serve a $50 steak with such artificial swill is beyond me. I get it, they are the only option. Fail!
