Usually when a place has a five star rating, and I love it, I don't bother grading them...but since ITK only has 8 reviews... FOOD: The food is outstanding. Plain and simple. Turkish food, as one might expect, is like Greek food, but with a bit more of a middle eastern flair. These guys do a great job with preparing and presenting the appetizers, entrees, and desserts (see the pics). ATMOSPHERE: Clean and modern. There are a few TV screens, because it is a bar, also. The TVs are NOT intrusive, however. Open air patio with a garage door for when the weather is right? Check. SERVICE: We were promptly greeted and seated by a friendly host and hostess. The table service was outstanding. An older gentleman named Birol was our waiter. Very friendly, in an understated way. Our pita basket was kept full, as were our drinks. DRINKS: Speaking of drinks, I wasn't drinking. But ITK has a well stocked bar. We saw the (attractive, probably Turkish) waitresses taking some very fancy martini-type cocktails out to some of the other customers. Seriously now people, if you're staying in Mason, for perhaps, King's Island and you don't eat here, you're missing out. 5 stars!!

Great moussaka, my husband enjoyed his cabbage rolls! Friendly service, lovely restaurant.

We were in town at the GREAT wolf lodge and came across this place in a google search. They've only been open a few weeks but you could never tell. It's a well run perfect preparation establishment. Lunch prices are very reasonable. Portion size is small enough to finish the entire meal. The shish kebab and baba ghanoush or both top notch. If we lived closer, I would be here all the time.

This was our first time trying Turkish food so we didn't know what to expect. The service was excellent from the start and there was a relaxed atmosphere. My daughter and I both ordered Iced Turkish tea to start while my husband started with Diet Pepsi. Fresh bread and their special red sauce were delivered to the table while we waited for our meal, and wow, that was delicious! My husband ordered the Adana Kebab while my daughter ordered the Chicken Adana Kebab. Though it wasn't what they expected, it was good and had a great flavor. I ordered the Chicken Kebob and it was tender for the most part and flavored beautifully (çok gúzel). They rice and the salad that came with our meals were amazing! Great job to not only our waitress, but also to Istanbul! We highly recommend this restaurant and will be back.

Terrific new restaurant in Mason, you should visit it soon. I had the Greek Salad with a Chicken Kabob added on top. Perfect.

I just discovered a new gem in the area. They have outdoor seating and a full bar with a great selection of wines and beer. We ordered the lentil soup, which is by far the best I've ever consumed. They brought out a dip and bread, which was very tasty. It does have a slight spiciness to it, *chefs kiss* I ordered the chicken steak. It came with rice pilaf and a salad. Everything was cooked perfectly, and flavored extremely well. No complaints. I also had the Turkish tea, never a let down. For dessert we had the rice pudding, and we both agree, it's the best in Cincinnati! The wait staff is very pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend for any occasion, you won't be disappointed.

    Kofte Iskender

I had the red lentil soup which was delicious. My main course was the Kofte Iskender which was also very good. Overall I would give a 5 star but I did think the meat could use a little more seasoning. Don't get me wrong, it was still very good and I would definitely order it again. The vegetables were perfectly charred and the pita still had some crunch which I like. Service was good and staff were nice and welcoming. The ambiance is good. That said, if you have bees to the former beerhead bar/restaurant in this location you know the layout. I didn't see many noticeable changes.

After a Great Clips haircut, on the recommendation of the stylist, I tried it out, was very impressed. Been there many times since, never been disappointed. I've since moved to Liberty Twp. but the Phoenician still beckons. Had dinner last night there with my wife. It was a wonderful experience. I felt it was high time I wrote them up. We started with an excellent double-hop IPA and a great Lebanese red wine, I think it was called Kefraya. Gonna seek it out locally, maybe at Jungle Jim's. As always, the pita bread is fresh, oven-hot and delectable. The shankleen appetizer is outstanding, a lovely fusion of greens, lentils, feta cheese, olive oil and spices. Wife ordered schwirma - slow-grilled combo of sliced chicken alongside sliced beef and lamb. The waiter obligingly substituted a side of couscous for rice, no extra charge. I had a braised shank of lamb in a rich tomato sauce. Both entrees were delicious. As always, the portions were very generous, so we took food home along with complimentary fresh pita bread. Besides the great food, the service is superb. The owner makes a point of stopping at each table to ensure that the diners are happy. We look forward to our next visit.

Finally she made reservations for Saturday evening (it is recommended because they get super busy). We got there and was greeted by the owner. BTW, was very down to earth. So their menu looked good (Lebanese food). There is so much to choose from and hard to decide. I especially loved their drink menu, especially wines. We ended up ordering: Appetizers: Baba ghannouge M'hammara Taverna falafel Dinner: Shawarma chicken Kebab mixed grill Drinks: Chateau kefraya, Les Bretches Almaza Pilsner My favorite from the appetizers is the eggplant and falafel! Super fresh and the bread that came with it was so good. Even the dipping sauce was amazing. My Shawarma chicken was super delish. You have to put the garlic butter on the rice! It gives it great flavor. My Mr enjoyed his meal as well. We definitely had to get a to go box because there was so much food. But we will look forward the next day to eat it. Overall, the service was great and I loved the experience. We can see ourselves coming back for more! I can see why my best friend loves it here! Highly recommend you try it.

The entrée salad was simple but perfect -- finely chopped lettuce with a light vinaigrette that tasted fresh and clean. Even the rice was cooked perfectly with just the right seasoning to hit the palate. The cabbage rolls were a standout -- soft, flavorful, and held together beautifully without falling apart. Truly, the kitchen knows what they're doing. Food is a solid 5/5. Now... the vibes. This is where things took a turn. When you walk in, the atmosphere just doesn't feel welcoming. The server didn't offer suggestions -- even after we mentioned it was our first visit -- which was disappointing but not a dealbreaker since we still managed to pick great dishes. The dining room was so quiet you could hear other tables cutting their food, and the music kept cutting in and out, which made things feel even more awkward. The staff wasn't rude, but the energy just wasn't there. Service is a generous 1/5. Would I recommend Sultans? For the flavor -- absolutely. Would I dine in again? Probably not, at least not until the atmosphere matches the quality of the food. So overall, I'm giving this place a 3.5 out of 5, and that score is solely carried by the incredible food, not the dine‑in experience. In the meantime due to the vibes I got we will be looking for somewhere different unfortunately. Skip the coffee you will see in the pictures on my black coffee.
