I wish that I had done my research and clarified that I was not looking for an exam. They do not take CARE CREDIT. I should have asked that question as well. I've always had good luck with Care Credit and used it to supplement my dental insurance. The company they use will lend a lot more money up front but I didn't like the terms.

My chart indicates that I have sensitivity and the hygienists know to have a light and gentle touch. I also have excellent oral hygiene and have been told by the previous hygienists that I don't have much plaque and cleanings are easy. For some reason she was not gentle at all and repeatedly hurt me. I raised my hand three times to ask her to please be more gentle because she was hurting me. She did not listen and instead increase her pressure hurting me more, at one point using an electric tool and pressing it hard on my teeth and gums. I was moaning and jumping and had to push the tool away with my hands because she was hurting me so much. I should have gotten up and left but I didn't. The receptionist minimized my concerns when I phoned to call her afterwards. I did talk directly to the dentist later and she listened, but I want people to know not to go to this particular hygienist especially if they want to be treated kindly, with respect, and not hurt. I will also add that this practice has trouble keeping good hygienists and has cancelled my cleaning appointments twice in the past because they didn't have enough hygienists that day

The assistants will usually bring you back before your appointed time. They make sure you feel special and safe. Carmen is always busy working on insurance claims making sure that insurance pays the portions that they are suppose to so that you're not surprised with a random bill. Both hygienists are also amazing!

Some back info, I have been here as a previous patient several years ago but due to many moves and…read moredifferent insurances I left and now I am back and now considered (or thought I was) a new PT. Fast ford to this morning, I called to see if I could be seen for an emergency fix (bottom retainer that is glued broke over the weekend). I have had the glue break off before and my prev 2 dentists have been able to fix with no issues which is why I called "my" dentist this time. Tammy answered my call @ 757am to my surprise because I know they don't open until 8am. I told her my issue and hopes of coming in to get this fixed. She asked if I was a patient there and I said yes and she put me on hold and quickly came back and said I don't know if you checked your EOB but we don't take your insurance. And I said okay but when I was there last time I was told I could pay the difference for the out of network, she responded with I was just told that so I'm just letting you know. I then asked for clarification if I could still be seen there or not and she couldn't give me a straight answer and proceeded to say I needed to go to my orthodontist. I informed her that this wasn't the first time my retainer has broke and my previous dentists were able to fix it and that I haven't been to my orthodontist in over 15 years and she said "I don't know that's what I was just told. This is an orthodontist fix. We aren't even open I wasn't suppose to answer the phone, we just got back from a couple weeks off, I'll take down your number and call you back once we all get settled in and after our meeting, this is an orthodontist thing" and just continued to ramble on until I said you know what never mind don't contact me back forget about it because I don't like the attitude and hung up. It's unfortunate that Tammy represents this place of business and it says a lot. I will no longer recommend this place.
