I. Could. Write. A. Book. About this place!!!! So, flashback to August of last year. Anthony and I are starting to plan our wedding and picking and choosing what is important to us. Location? Has to be a Disney Wedding. Time of day? Brunch would be fun... Cinderella's Carriage? Must-do. But, we wanted to do something at our wedding that no one would see coming. Cinderella's Carriage? Pretty predictable. Having Mickey and Minnie attend? Also predictable. Wearing a black dress instead of a white one to our wedding? Absolutely would be shocking, but also would never be us! (LOL) We decided that neither of us know how to dance- at all- in the slightest bit, and that if we started to practice our first dance now, we could do something pretty crazy and no one would see it coming. So, we researched and found a few places, but something about Arthur Murray Orlando stood out to us. It seemed... less intimidating. I called a few places and I'll never forget the first call I had with Arthur Murray and how we laughed and I felt like I was speaking to a lifelong friend. We scheduled a consultation and came in to meet everyone and scope things out. From there, again, everyone, and I mean everyone, was so fun and kind and not judgmental in the slightest. We always felt comfortable here and our secret dance classes became our own little date nights that we looked forward to. We kept our dance classes a total secret from everyone that we knew. We were introduced to Mandi who is... a complete ray of sunshine and a personal cheerleader. I explained to her our crazy idea of doing a huge mashup of a million songs and told her if it was too much trouble, we could just pick one song. Mandi told us that it's our wedding and if we want a fun, crazy, 7-minute mashup then that is what we will get! She completely captured our vision and taught us how to dance the wildest of first dances! Joya, the manager, is also a gem! She worked with us and supported us and encouraged us throughout our learning experience. I'll never forget the day Anthony and I were just exhausted from work and wedding planning and everything- Joya brought us coffee! I have never been so excited to have a cup of coffee in my life! Kiara was the receptionist (sadly she has moved away) and she helped us pick out our shoes and accessories and so many other details for our wedding! Everyone here is extremely talented and has quite the experience. We felt so lucky to be learning from so many experts! They never made us feel like we didn't know how to dance, they were all just so excited to share their knowledge and encourage us that we could dance, too! Joya and Mandi planned so many fun events. They had a "Second Chance Wedding Dance" event where several of the wedding couples performed their first dances again- just for funsies! It was so fun to watch this event early on in our learning process. The month of our wedding, I came in and did a run-through of our dance in my wedding dress with Mandi. (And I am so glad that I did, because my dress completely ripped in our big dip! Alterations fixed this, but so happy this didn't happen the day of!) About a week before our wedding, Anthony and I had the chance to dance in front of several of the other dancers (talk about intimidating!!) as practice before our big day. Arthur Murray, over the year that we worked with them on our wedding dance, became a family to us. And, after the wedding process is completely over, both of us confidently can say that the highlight of our entire wedding experience is our fun little date nights at Arthur Murray. Neither of us are dancers, but we are learning! And we can't wait to come back to Arthur Murray soon next year and just continue our fun little date nights. There is so much more that I could say, again, I could write a book! But, definitely come here. Totally worth it! read more

My fiancé and I tried this place out last night to test out dance lessons for our wedding! It was surprisingly lively given the storm, but it brought a great vibe! Even though there's various groups on the dance floor they were all doing their own thing. It never felt like we were being intruded on for our lesson and vice versa. We ended up having such a great time that we are considering going back just for fun! I have definitely discovered a new hobby for us to enjoy together & I'll even bring friends for group lessons! read more

This is the third dance studio I've tried in the Orlando area. If you're trying to learn how to dance just for "fun" then maybe this isn't the best option for you as it is the most expensive studio by far. However, the level of training doesn't compare with cheaper studios I've tried. Pros - teachers are professional, they explain things very well. - they know when you make a mistake and give great advice on how to fix them. - Because the group classes are smaller, you get undivided attention outside of private lessons. - complimentary wine, coffee, tea, and beer lol. - they interchange teachers, they'll sometimes schedule me with a female teacher to learn women's styling. - they have socials every Tuesday and Fridays where students can practice dancing with each other and the instructors. Cons - far and expensive - they sell dance packages only, so you don't have the option of group classes without the private lessons. Before you run away because of the pricing, I will add that I went Salsa Heat for 6 months and felt like i wasn't progressing. No teacher gave me attention to tell me what i was doing wrong. The group classes were always so crowded I couldn't see what they were trying to teach. Overall the students and teachers at Arthur Murray are friendly and professional, the passion of dancing is evident here. You will get what you pay for, so if you're trying to become a serious dancer like me, then this is the studio for you. read more

She made me ( the non dancer) feel extremely comfortable and tailored our lessons to make sure we felt good moving on. Arthur Murray is my happy place. I've been coming for over 5+ years. It is extremely well rounded with quality dance technique and instructor personality. The place also attracts fun students that I have built relationships with over time and even hang out with on my birthday. The vibe is always fun and welcoming. The gem here is really the instructors. They care about your goals and progress; the lessons go beyond dance, I often think of them as life coaches. My story has been a journey, I first walked in as a beginner student and now competing in scholarships, coming up with student choreography, and now pitching ideas for themed parties. I love this studio! I've been a student for 3 years and have been to this studio, the one in clermont and even the AM studio in London (Baker Street). This is my favorite studio. What can I say? I should have started as a true dancer. I have a natural knack said Katarina, the Russian instructor. And in true form...she was beautiful. I had a Yelp Coupon for 50% off my first program, and that certainly helps. You sign up after your free trial lesson and the program of 8 sessions can be up between $450 and $520 dollars. The 50% coupon is perfect. The space is upstairs and large, with very friendly people and lots going on at one time. Private lessons, group lessons, party/mixers and EVERY kind of dance you can imagine. I truly recommend everyone to try it out. Find the dancer in you. read more

Came here with my fiancé and tried out a free dance. The people inside were nice, and The lessons would have seem good, but once we got the pricing list, it was way more than we expected. I am currently attending the Arthur-Murray Dance Center in Winter Park (it's really closer to Aloma/Casselberry) but do not let the location deter you. The people here are so kind, and helpful and genuine and best of all PROFESSIONAL. I am an extremely skeptical person and highly critical (not purposely, just by nature) and these people just do it right. Our instructor Lindsey and the Manager are incredible at what they do. My fiance and I are not the best dancers (we'e actually much worse than we both thought haha) and we're actually getting it. Ann & I were invited to an initial dance lesson that included a short social gathering for appetizers, beer, wine & soft drinks and then a 90 minute lesson we will never forget. There were seven or eight couples and we all started out with two left feet - yes, even the "girls". Our instructor was Damien - and was he great or what? Seriously - we started with four steps of the "hustle", practiced that for about 10 minutes with our own partner then switched and went through all the other partners. In the course of the evening - we worked on several dance styles (hustle, swing and various Latin moves). In addition to sweating profusely, I think the men "finally got it". During the last 15 minutes, Damien cut the lights down low, put on some soft Latin music and we swayed with our partners - almost like we knew what we were doing. What a great idea for a social gathering - but because this is a review - let me just say, I hope many of the couples sign-up for further lessons. I know I was up every hour Saturday night with leg cramps which tells me I was definitely using muscles I hadn't used in a while. So in addition to learning (or maybe re-learning) some dancing skills - some great physical activity and a new social event; for about $10 a lesson - I don't think you can go wrong. The more I went, the more I found myself enjoying the lessons and the people there. Not only are the teachers professional, they make learning fun and treat every student as if they are family! We went to Arthur Murray (Lake Mary) and bought a few lessons. The teacher was great, can't complain. But their sales pitch is so cheesy!! I felt I was sitting listening to time share sales. Everybody will be nice to you and tell you how greeeaaattt you are, how beautiful you look and they will be your best friends until you tell them that you can't sign up for more lessons today! The switch is immediate. I have never seen such fakeness...It appeared that lots of lonely people join this place. We found another place so much more friendlier and the atmosphere is real and it's not only about the money. read more

After my second visit there, I realized how forceful they were in wanting me to come three times a week or even every day. Which meant they wanted me to sign on for more packages. I've been taking mostly private lessons there for over a year. The instructors are fun, goofy, but professional. The quality of instruction is incredible, they cater to different learning styles, and are very patient. I'm not sure what industry standard is, but their lessons are only 45 minutes. For me, that is not enough time to tire me mentally or physically. Half the lesson is spent learning verbally, and also socializing. This is only a concern because of their high prices. They also do not have many options for lesson packages. They sell assortments of massive lesson packages (eg. 29 private lessons + 29 group + 29 "parties") that force you to spend more time and money than you intended. I wish they offered smaller or custom packages. They will throw in "parties" with the packages, but the parties are just 45 min of 1 minutes songs everyone can dance to, with a few drinks and no food is provided. Overall, Arthur Murray provides incredible instruction and an amazing experience. read more
