She is highly trained, extremely knowledgeable about all types of dance. Her method for teaching ballroom to couples is hands on, hour long classes and in a private studio - no one else is allowed on the floor. She teaches all methods of ballroom dance including salsa, foxtrot, rumba, and the waltz. From leading the female to dancing with the male and teaching him how to lead, she is super talented and easy to learn from. Her prices are reasonable ($50/class for a couple) and she has time slots available each week in the evenings. Olivia is passionate about dancing and even became emotional when she read a few of her poems to us. Holly, from Firefly Yoga Co (in Ocoee /Winter Garden), was hosting a private yoga class for some friends and me prior to my wedding (I highly recommend organizing this, future brides!!). We had planned on a park, but the weather was not cooperating, so Holly was able to book a last minute room at Flo Space as they offer rentals (as well as private bachelorette-style parties that they plan for you featuring aerial, pole, and chair classes). Parking is simple- there are several spots out front as well as behind the studio space. Their lobby is very appealing and someone was at the counter to greet any guests or students arriving. As we walked down the corridor, I saw the aerial room set up with large hanging rings and then saw the pole class with enough poles for a large group! We set up in one of the small rooms. The decor was appropriate, it had great light from a window, and they provided mats and spray in case folks needed. I thought that was truly above and beyond! Overall, a wonderful yoga flow was had and this space made us forget all about the crummy weather! Will I be booking a party sometime for me and my girls to learn pole, aerial, or chair dancing? The venue is thoughtfully designed with two main levels. The downstairs ballroom serves as the primary event space with a full kitchen and dressing room, while upstairs features a large rooftop terrace, another dressing room, and a half kitchen that works well for cocktail hours or smaller gatherings. The entrance also showcases local art installations, which adds a nice cultural touch. One thing that really stood out during our tour is the value for the size of the venue. For the number of guests the space can accommodate, it's honestly difficult to beat the pricing compared to many other venues in the area. The only reason we ultimately didn't choose this venue came down to production limitations. They do not allow cold sparkler machines, "dancing on a cloud" effects, or direct mounting from the ceilings, which restricted some of the celebratory elements we were planning. They are also strict about approved caterers and vendors, which is understandable since previous events have caused permanent damage to the facility. Because our daughter's padrinos wanted to contribute to some of the more elaborate production elements, we had to explore other options. That said, if your event doesn't require those features, the Winter Park Events Center is an incredible venue with a modern design, great layout, and strong value. For weddings, galas, or milestone celebrations that fit within their guidelines, it's absolutely worth touring.

I've had the pleasure of attending a yoga event as well as a salsa event at The Balcony and both times I left wanting to figure out an event to host at this beautiful site. Though getting in to the building and up to the right floor is a bit of a process, the view that awaits is worth every head scratch. This is truly a Balcony, but much larger than you'd imagine. They've used the space for cocktail parties, seated dinners, weddings, fitness events, and I imagine a photo shoot or two. The space is available for rent, and I've made a point to take a tour (which you can schedule any time) to check it out when they didn't have an active event happening. The indoor space you'd walk thru for The Balcony is actually a marketing agency. I haven't been in several months, but it doesn't seem to provide a lot of weather backup space, so one thing to note. Then again, this place is so unique, you'll be convinced to cross your fingers and pray for clear skies!

There were students at all levels (and all ages) in our classes, and since you swap partners with each dance, you get the opportunity to be a learner or a teacher each time. I was surprised how much I liked swapping partners - I felt like it helped me improve my skills and learn to adapt to different dancing styles, and fostered a supportive and light-hearted attitude in the class. At class end, Stuart hosts a fabulous dance party with a live band; previous students return and it's quite the party. I highly recommend this dancing class to anyone who wants to learn a variety of dances.

The music featured was Bridgerton Inspired. It was an amazing experience that transports you to a place that makes you feel like you are at Bridgerton. My friend and I dressed up to be a part of the theme. Many people were dressed for the occasion which added to the fun. You can pay to have pictures taken in a certain corner with many candles. They also let you record during the last song played and take pictures afterwards with your own camera. I've already bought a ticket to see another one this week, which features Adele's music.
