Monday morning rolls along, The excitement woke our baby girl because she knew she was attending her new dance school. We did her hair, she dressed in a dance tights, and waited patiently by the door for us to leave for her class. We received an email confirming the date and time of the scheduled classes, we arrived about 15 minutes before the scheduled class time. We set at a bench next to the front door patiently waiting. My daughter practicing her twirls and spins could hardly contain herself. Classtime arrives, and the lights are still turned off. The "closed" sign still mocks me as we look past our reflection in the big glass windows. Call my wife to double check to make sure that it was the correct time and the correct date of her class. To our dismay, email confirms. Both my wife and I call the number plastered on the front of their establishment, both greeted by their voicemail box. My wife also sends an email to the company. The whole day we were expecting to be contacted, surely there was a mix up, but we have yet to be called/emailed back. We will be getting a refund either from them or from my CC as a dispute. We'll see how this goes. As for right now, I'd steer clear

Tl;dr- They kept my twin 5 year old's costumes (that we paid for in advance) because we couldn't pay for their virtual classes during Covid, even though it is worth nothing to them financially. Long story: my twins asked for ballet classes from my mom for Christmas. She paid the I intial fees, costume fee, recital fee, and for January's classes. My husband and I bought the shoes, tights and leotards as Christmas presents. The girls were elated! The class was pretty full, so not much one on one time, but I assume that's pretty normal for 4 and 5 year old introductory classes. We were basically satisfied. We paid for February and March and were getting really excited for their first recital. Then the whole world shut down for Covid-19, causing my husband to be furloughed and putting us in financial peril, like so many other families. They auto deducted April's fees, even though they were closed, but quickly responded to my panicked email and gave the money back. In that email they explained that they were trying to figure out how to proceed, that they would postpone our fees until they opened back up, and were organizing an online class if we wanted to try. I said ok. We tried once but we live on the third floor in an apartment building and practicing tap dancing is not really an option for us. During this time we were emailed to come pick up our recital costumes. We were so excited for something good to happen! I drove to pick it up, but was informed that our class hadn't received our costumes yet, that I would get an email soon. They never emailed us. Fast forward a couple months and I called to ask about picking it up and was informed that since we were "behind" on our payments (for classes we did not attend, mind you) that they wouldn't give us our costumes, which had already paid for back in January. If they had been ready with everyone else's costumes, I would have been able to pick them up, but since they took longer to come in we did not get them. It bothers me that in these tough times they chose to punish my kids by not giving us the costumes for a recital we didn't get to do, even though we paid for them. It bothers me that my girls Christmas present from their grandma was not given them after they missed out on so much this year. But most of all it bothers me that they can't really recoup any money with costumes made to their specific measurements so they decided to keep them from us just to prove a point? We paid for every class they attended and more, and paid for the costume up front. We never asked for anything for free. We just want what we paid for.

The energy from the performers is contagious, and they do a fantastic job getting the audience involved, making the show feel interactive and unique. The food was delicious, and you definitely won't leave hungry since it's all-you-care-to-enjoy. Everything was served family-style, and there was plenty to go around, making it a great value on top of the entertainment. My biggest piece of advice? Save room for the strawberry shortcake! It's the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal. If you're looking for a classic Disney experience that's filled with laughs, music, and great food, Hoop-Dee-Doo is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary. While it's probably a one-and-done experience for me personally, I'm so glad I've done it--not just once, but twice. It's one of those iconic Disney experiences that everyone should try at least once!

It's been at Disney for 52 years and is one of the country's longest running dinner shows with over 37,000 performances so far! My husband and I had such a great time, I only wish it hadn't taken me so long to see it but I will definitely go back again! The food was delicious and it's all you can eat and also includes all the beer, wine and sangria (21+) or soft drinks and iced tea that you can drink. Food includes fried chicken, pork ribs, cornbread, coleslaw, salad, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and baked beans. For dessert you get a delicious strawberry shortcake. When you make reservations and also when you check in, you are asked if you have any dietary restrictions or prefer a plant based meal. The food is served family style, which I always love because it's a fun way to eat. Everything about this meal was delicious so it's hard for me to pick a favorite. Our server, Chrissy was just amazing. There was never a glass left unfilled and our plates were never empty. The show was so much fun and included audience participation and in true Disney fashion, the performers were highly talented and highly entertaining. The price was excellent at only $70 per ticket. We had seating in the balcony which I was worried about at first, but once we got in there, and I was able to look around I saw that the balcony was actually the better place to be seated and I definitely would get seating in the balcony again. Getting there was half the fun, you take a bus to Pioneer Hall where the store is held, from The Outpost located within Fort Wilderness. It's great because there's some horses and a couple of stables you can look at as well as a general store and a tavern. I highly recommend doing this at least once. We spoke to several people there who had gone before and liked it so much that they were seeing it for the second and even third time!

    I. Could. Write. A. Book. About this place!!!!…read more So, flashback to August of last year. Anthony and I are starting to plan our wedding and picking and choosing what is important to us. Location? Has to be a Disney Wedding. Time of day? Brunch would be fun... Cinderella's Carriage? Must-do. But, we wanted to do something at our wedding that no one would see coming. Cinderella's Carriage? Pretty predictable. Having Mickey and Minnie attend? Also predictable. Wearing a black dress instead of a white one to our wedding? Absolutely would be shocking, but also would never be us! (LOL) We decided that neither of us know how to dance- at all- in the slightest bit, and that if we started to practice our first dance now, we could do something pretty crazy and no one would see it coming. So, we researched and found a few places, but something about Arthur Murray Orlando stood out to us. It seemed... less intimidating. I called a few places and I'll never forget the first call I had with Arthur Murray and how we laughed and I felt like I was speaking to a lifelong friend. We scheduled a consultation and came in to meet everyone and scope things out. From there, again, everyone, and I mean everyone, was so fun and kind and not judgmental in the slightest. We always felt comfortable here and our secret dance classes became our own little date nights that we looked forward to. We kept our dance classes a total secret from everyone that we knew. We were introduced to Mandi who is... a complete ray of sunshine and a personal cheerleader. I explained to her our crazy idea of doing a huge mashup of a million songs and told her if it was too much trouble, we could just pick one song. Mandi told us that it's our wedding and if we want a fun, crazy, 7-minute mashup then that is what we will get! She completely captured our vision and taught us how to dance the wildest of first dances! Joya, the manager, is also a gem! She worked with us and supported us and encouraged us throughout our learning experience. I'll never forget the day Anthony and I were just exhausted from work and wedding planning and everything- Joya brought us coffee! I have never been so excited to have a cup of coffee in my life! Kiara was the receptionist (sadly she has moved away) and she helped us pick out our shoes and accessories and so many other details for our wedding! Everyone here is extremely talented and has quite the experience. We felt so lucky to be learning from so many experts! They never made us feel like we didn't know how to dance, they were all just so excited to share their knowledge and encourage us that we could dance, too! Joya and Mandi planned so many fun events. They had a "Second Chance Wedding Dance" event where several of the wedding couples performed their first dances again- just for funsies! It was so fun to watch this event early on in our learning process. The month of our wedding, I came in and did a run-through of our dance in my wedding dress with Mandi. (And I am so glad that I did, because my dress completely ripped in our big dip! Alterations fixed this, but so happy this didn't happen the day of!) About a week before our wedding, Anthony and I had the chance to dance in front of several of the other dancers (talk about intimidating!!) as practice before our big day. Arthur Murray, over the year that we worked with them on our wedding dance, became a family to us. And, after the wedding process is completely over, both of us confidently can say that the highlight of our entire wedding experience is our fun little date nights at Arthur Murray. Neither of us are dancers, but we are learning! And we can't wait to come back to Arthur Murray soon next year and just continue our fun little date nights. There is so much more that I could say, again, I could write a book! But, definitely come here. Totally worth it!

Even though there's various groups on the dance floor they were all doing their own thing. It never felt like we were being intruded on for our lesson and vice versa. We ended up having such a great time that we are considering going back just for fun! I have definitely discovered a new hobby for us to enjoy together & I'll even bring friends for group lessons!

I considered getting us memberships here as we've always been YMCA members, but after a few weeks of volleyball I decided against it. The amount of unaccompanied teens is atrocious. Yesterday when I was here, two teen boys were "playing" table tennis- meaning one had his shirt off and his back turned, and the other was trying to hit his back with the table tennis balls as hard as he could. This is the main area outside the volleyball courts. There's always a ridiculous amount of teens there doing stupid stuff with not a single adult there. I'm sitting at a table there RIGHT now and there's two teens sitting against the wall, cussing up a storm. F this and bullsh*t that (amongst calling things gay and ghetto)- all while a bunch of 9-11 year old volleyball girls are waiting for their game to start. The place wants to appear family friendly when it's actually pretty far from it. I've never seen a YMCA so lenient with letting teens run the place, so I'll skip getting a membership here.
