Monday morning rolls along, The excitement woke our baby girl because she knew she was attending her new dance school. We did her hair, she dressed in a dance tights, and waited patiently by the door for us to leave for her class. We received an email confirming the date and time of the scheduled classes, we arrived about 15 minutes before the scheduled class time. We set at a bench next to the front door patiently waiting. My daughter practicing her twirls and spins could hardly contain herself. Classtime arrives, and the lights are still turned off. The "closed" sign still mocks me as we look past our reflection in the big glass windows. Call my wife to double check to make sure that it was the correct time and the correct date of her class. To our dismay, email confirms. Both my wife and I call the number plastered on the front of their establishment, both greeted by their voicemail box. My wife also sends an email to the company. The whole day we were expecting to be contacted, surely there was a mix up, but we have yet to be called/emailed back. We will be getting a refund either from them or from my CC as a dispute. Tl;dr- They kept my twin 5 year old's costumes (that we paid for in advance) because we couldn't pay for their virtual classes during Covid, even though it is worth nothing to them financially. Long story: my twins asked for ballet classes from my mom for Christmas. She paid the I intial fees, costume fee, recital fee, and for January's classes. My husband and I bought the shoes, tights and leotards as Christmas presents. The girls were elated! The class was pretty full, so not much one on one time, but I assume that's pretty normal for 4 and 5 year old introductory classes. We were basically satisfied. We paid for February and March and were getting really excited for their first recital. Then the whole world shut down for Covid-19, causing my husband to be furloughed and putting us in financial peril, like so many other families. They auto deducted April's fees, even though they were closed, but quickly responded to my panicked email and gave the money back. In that email they explained that they were trying to figure out how to proceed, that they would postpone our fees until they opened back up, and were organizing an online class if we wanted to try. I said ok. We tried once but we live on the third floor in an apartment building and practicing tap dancing is not really an option for us. During this time we were emailed to come pick up our recital costumes. We were so excited for something good to happen! I drove to pick it up, but was informed that our class hadn't received our costumes yet, that I would get an email soon. They never emailed us. Fast forward a couple months and I called to ask about picking it up and was informed that since we were "behind" on our payments (for classes we did not attend, mind you) that they wouldn't give us our costumes, which had already paid for back in January. If they had been ready with everyone else's costumes, I would have been able to pick them up, but since they took longer to come in we did not get them. It bothers me that in these tough times they chose to punish my kids by not giving us the costumes for a recital we didn't get to do, even though we paid for them. It bothers me that my girls Christmas present from their grandma was not given them after they missed out on so much this year. But most of all it bothers me that they can't really recoup any money with costumes made to their specific measurements so they decided to keep them from us just to prove a point? We paid for every class they attended and more, and paid for the costume up front. We never asked for anything for free. We just want what we paid for.

It's not just a hobby, it's a way of life for me. It's something evryone should try out for a period in their life, dance class. I've never found a musical theater dance class so I planned to take the Tuesday one with Alyssa if I recall her name correctly. We did a song from Princess and the Frog. I have a newfound inspiration I didn't even know it was a thing until Orlando's very own musical theater dance classes! It was awesome. Packed class. Front desk had good customer service. They even record and upload their dances to their yt channel, something I do for my own yt channel for dance covers I do. Keep up the great work!!

I've had the chance to experience the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue twice--once for my birthday and…read moreanother time with a group of colleagues--and both visits were an absolute blast! The energy from the performers is contagious, and they do a fantastic job getting the audience involved, making the show feel interactive and unique. The food was delicious, and you definitely won't leave hungry since it's all-you-care-to-enjoy. Everything was served family-style, and there was plenty to go around, making it a great value on top of the entertainment. My biggest piece of advice? Save room for the strawberry shortcake! It's the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal. If you're looking for a classic Disney experience that's filled with laughs, music, and great food, Hoop-Dee-Doo is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary. While it's probably a one-and-done experience for me personally, I'm so glad I've done it--not just once, but twice. It's one of those iconic Disney experiences that everyone should try at least once!

Arriving in Fort Wilderness, the check-in process is very drawn out and poorly executed. It's amazing how simple every other restaurant in Disney can be. If you want your Annual Pass discount, you'll have to deal with a second long line. We were originally excited for a second floor seat, but the layout is just annoying. Swivel chairs line the railing, so you turn out toward the wall to eat and spin back around in a tight area to watch the show. The food could've saved the day being all you can eat and comfort foods. But the servers brought it out in the middle of the acts.. when it's pitch black and we are swiveled around... so it was cold by the time you were ready to eat. The all you can eat was accommodated by the server bringing out a full tray of each item and plopping down one or two items on each of their tables. The cast makes a huge deal with a musical number about the dessert... Strawberry Shortcake.. but it was honestly not the best dessert option. The show was definitely cute and old timey - with the whole place joining in a chorus of This Land Is Your Land and corny jokes, but I would highly suggest you leave as soon as you finish dessert. They hand out washboards and serving spoons to every table... which turns into a nightmare of banging and unnecessary showboating to gain attention from the characters. Was it worth marking off the experience? Yes. Would I suggest anyone venture to do it? No.

Salsa Heat dance studio has several locations spread out through Orlando, this one specifically is…read morelocated inside Gold's Gym in studio 2. The ballroom in here is huge for salsa practice so it accommodates more dance partners and more dance room. They have beginners class every Monday and Wednesday night at 7:30 to 8:30 and intermediate class at 8:45 to 9:45. The instructor is an amazing dancer so it felt kind of intimidating at first coming to this class but then she warms everybody up by showing everyone the basic turns/ footwork. Just like every other salsa heat school you have to dance with everyone there to get a feel or different dancers so the guys can learn how to lead more and the ladies can learn how to keep up the tempo. I recommend this place if you are willing to sharpen up some salsa moves and are willing to make it all look easy.

I love how beautiful the stairwell is going up to two. I love how much they have expanded their food and beverage line up over the years. The sound tends to be pretty good, the communication from the theatre is always amazing. They waive fees if you come to the box office to buy your tickets. The seats are comfy and almost every seat has a solid view. The box seats are the exception so be warned. The volunteers are always amazing and they are so nice. It would be cool if they opened a second location that served coffee because that line for espresso beverages is always really long. I love the breadth of show types. There's always something for everyone.

Wednesday, March 18, 2026…read more Front Row, Center Tickets to Ms. Diana Ross' Concert Performance I've been to numerous events at the Dr. Phillips Center but nothing beats having the opportunity to see a legend perform within arms-length to where you're seated. And when that "Icon of Icons" is none other than Ms. Diana Ross...well, nothing else need be said. It was a dream come true to say the least. In my most previous update of the Dr. Phillips Center I indicated meeting with and having my photograph taken with the incredible soprano Sarah Brightman was an entertainment highlight of 2025. 2026 has just begun but I will have to use the superlative "spectacular" once again. As in a spectacular show from start to finish. Diana Ross may be 81 years old!...but she still has the voice and ahem...the moves of a much younger performer. Just think of this, she was performing with the Supremes in the 1960's. I wasn't even born and by the time I was she had 12 number one singles with the OG of girl groups! And she is still working it to this day. Ms. Ross sung a multitude of her hits which kept the crowd, and my sister and I, dancing and singing throughout the evening. However, when she started to belt out Gloria Gaynor's anthem "I Will Survive" that really got the audience out of their seats. An Icon singing and Iconic piece of music is an experience second to none. Ms. Ross, you and your mark on music history is unmatched...blessings to you and your family!

Disney Junior Live On Stage is a great show at Disney Hollywood Studios. This is our second time…read moreseeing the show. The first time we saw the Halloween Disney Junior show at California Adventure at Disneyland. This Disney Junior Live On Stage show is located at the Animation Courtyard Theatre at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you have the lightning lane, Disney Junior Live On Stage is one of the shows you can get a lightning lane for. Luckily, we ended up going to one of the earlier show times that were available during the day without using a lightning lane for it! The show is floor seating only. There are a few benches that are aligned with the wall though! If you're going during the summer, the room is air conditioned! We ended up going during the winter, and it was cold outside, so it was nice to go inside a heated building! The cast member who leads the show was phenomenal! Some of the characters that we saw during the show were Mickey and the Roadster Racer Doc McStuffins Vampirina Timon from the Lion King There was a lot of singing and dancing! It's a great show especially for children 7 and under that watch Disney Junior!!

I definitely recommend this to anyone with littles. We took our little when she was 11 months old…read moreand she really enjoyed it. It does have loud musics / noises and lots of lights, so if you little is prone to sensory overload, maybe not for them. Heads up that this is floor seating only, so be ready to sit all the way down and maybe never get back up HAHAHA! I was surprised at it, but honestly it was great to let her get on the floor and get her wiggles out. She really liked being loose and able to crawl / dance around. We did fast passes so we were able to get seats in the middle close to the front. I like how they walk through the audience areas so every seat is a good seat really. Overall: A+ Great show for little ones, be sure to note this is floor seating - so older persons may not want to do this one.
