Inability to do a good job on the first clean, e.g., I bring a shirt, point out the stains, and come back to see the stains still there. I then point out the stain again, and they take note of it and clean it again. After the second clean, the stain is gone. Why not take note of the stain the first time? 2. They're incompetent tailors. They take shortcuts and do not take ownership of their work. I have taken a pair of pants to get a basic hem (not origin hem) and they came back with poor stitching. I even provided a sample that had been worn for six months, albeit by Alteration Specialists, and its stitching looks better. The adage, you get what your pay for is true. Want poor quality go to Brothers! 3. They are flat-out rude and dismissive. For instance, they demand payment and don't respond to "thank yous" or basic questions in regards to garment care. If Fort Greene wasn't a dry cleaning desert I'd go elsewhere. Come to think about it, I'll do a dry cleaner test and report back on the best one in the neighborhood. If you're OK with poor service and quality, then Brothers Cleaners should be your go-to.

When I came to pick it up, not only was it confirmed that I had, in fact, discolored one spot, but the dry cleaners had discolored the rest of the coat as well, leaving huge marks of white throughout an otherwise indigo blue coat :( The owner and I agreed on a repayment of $300, but when I came back the next day to pick up the check, he lowered the repayment to $200. He said that his wife told him it was worth even less than that :( this coat is so special to me and cannot be replaced. They also lost the belt of the coat! I feel disregarded in a neighborhood where I otherwise feel so welcome and taken care of. Ruining a coat is one thing, coming to an agreement and then going back on your word is another. The latter is much harder to get past.

When I pointed it out, instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, the owner immediately blamed their cleaning company and said it wasn't their fault. As a customer, I did not hire their third-party cleaner...I hired this business, which makes them responsible for the handling and condition of my property. What made it worse was the complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic customer service. I had to insist on not paying for the cleaning, and while they refunded me, there was still no apology. Big sigh only. I understand that dry cleaning can sometimes damage clothing. I've had garments damaged by other cleaners before. However, what makes the difference is how the situation is handled afterward. In this case, the complete lack of responsibility and basic respect as a customer is what I find most upsetting. If you care about your clothing, especially delicate or vintage items, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. You should be aware that if an item is damaged here, responsibility may be denied rather than properly addressed.

Jacket came in with fine condition (no holes or tears) and came out with multiple holes as pictured below. Olya patched one of them (the largest) but not the rest and I didn't receive a refund. I think the dry cleaning facility they send things to uses harsh treatment and doesn't handle products gently. TLDR: Multiple holes in jacket after dry cleaning, incredibly rude staff (guy behind the counter).
