Made the decision to intall artificial grass. 2 days later several burnt strikes. Two story Westside Santa Cruz home four upper windows. Reflection from uppers to close to the lawn. Wade did mention (BRIEFLY) about those uppers...At that moment he should of recommend to get the window tint. Wade referred me to Transparent Glass Company to install window tint on We decided to do all 10 panels $1k later. DID NOT WORK! Not to mention this project was not cheap. We went through so many avenues to make this right. Installed sails in two yards, 15k later. Lots of red flags this went on for 4 months. What did actually work, vehicle window car tint from Home Depot... SERIOUSLY!! He did replace the parts that were burnt and heard me out, which i appreciate. DO YOUR DILIGENT HOMEWORK this did not work for me and my family. Installers did an AOK job. Tell the truth it clears the way mentally and emotionally! read more

I thought I povided a very factual review - contracted with them to install a specific product; they installed a different product; Wade said he'd change it to the one I chose if I wanted; he tried to charge me more money when I said I'd like the product we chose installed; scratched up a freshly poured concrete wall during the installation after I asked he and his sales guy to please be careful. If this is their idea of customer service it leaves a lot to be desired. Why would I pay these guys any money???? I guess I don't understand for what work they should be paid. Ours was a small installation and we encountered these issues. If you have a larger installation and are contemplating hiring this company I'd really watch out! There are a lot of other companies who install turf - why deal with guys like these? These guys and this product are fantastic! I had been fighting keeping grass alive through 2 digging dogs, malfunctioning auto sprinklers and kids for 7 years. I finally gave up and called Artificial Lawns Direct. They came out, on time, and gave me a quote to do my entire yard (about 350 sf). Ron and Wade were very knowledgeable and reassured me that the turf would stand up to the dogs, weather and kids. I marinated on it for a few days and called them back to give them a deposit. I was a nervous wreck for the next 2 days until they started installing the turf. I came home from work on the first day (install took 2 days) and was thrilled at what I saw! Even though it was half done, it looked beautiful and I knew I had made the right decision. The next day the project was completed and I couldn't have been more happy. It has been about 9 months since they installed it and it is so beautiful and very durable. My dogs have not done any damage to it no matter how hard they try. They frolic, roll around and romp on it all day long. The kids love it, too. I used to have my morning coffee and "reply to work emails" sessions at the kitchen bar. Now, every morning, I grab my coffee and laptop and sit outside, replying to emails, watching my dogs romp and play and truly relishing my beautiful yard. It feels great under my bare feet and looks like a perfectly manicured lawn. Being a Realtor, I am always concerned about doing projects on my house that will improve the quality/resale value of my home.
