When I had some concerns about the original setting becoming loose, they took my concerns seriously. After they took a look and agreed with my inclination, they decided to simply make a completely new head for the setting. I fully expected to pay for this, but they completed the service on-the-house because that is the kind of pride they take in their work. When we brought my drawing in of my ring, I never imagined that it would turn out as accurate or as beautiful as it did. He was quick and efficient and every design change he had not only worked better with the ring, but it was more radiant and more beautiful than it ever was before. The vintage setting was sharp and scratched people and tore clothing. We had it filed down but it still clawed my newborn baby. For my 10th wedding anniversary, we decided to try to find a way to use the diamond but in a setting that I might be able to wear. I wanted something low-profile, with a vintage look, that wasn't too flashy but that fit a decent sized diamond. I figured we'd just go in to a place and pick something out, but it turned out that I was incredibly particular about something that would be on my finger all the time. We went through a lot to find this ring. Kit worked tirelessly to find a ring that I would like. Ultimately, he worked with far-away colleagues to find multiple antique rings, one of which I fell in love with, and then his craftsman remade it to fit me perfectly. It is gorgeous, and, I have now worn it every day for six months. I am a dancer, and I can even wear it in the studio. I still glance down at my hand fairly often and admire how much I love this ring. Kit was an utter joy to work with. He is also fair, honest, and kind. I cannot speak highly enough of him, and I am incredibly grateful to him for helping me find a ring I love. Now, when I look at my ring, I am warmly reminded of the great grandma who owned the original diamond, my mother-in-law who let me proudly wear it, my husband who asked me to marry him...and Kit.
