After a long search for a new hair stylist, I'm so glad I found April. She's such a professional, humble, and down-to-earth stylist who heard out all my concerns and asked thoughtful questions throughout the appointment to really understand what I wanted and how I actually style my hair day-to-day. She gives an amazing shampoo massage, showed me new techniques for my naturally wavy hair, and patiently answered every question and request I had. I've never felt more confident walking out of a salon. I'm going to preface this by saying I never really liked having hair. I can't take care of it, I literally don't want it on my head, I hate spending money on it, etc. So I've never gone to a hair appointment excited, and I've never left one feeling good. I'm perhaps the least likely to be writing a hair salon review. Meaning, it should speak volumes when I say I followed Isabel three times as she grew through the Koreatown salons and finally opened her own place in Pasadena. When I first met her in 2022, she gave me the most thorough consultation any hairstylist had ever provided. She sat down with me, listened to all of my issues, understood what I needed/why I needed it a certain way, and then--most importantly--delivered. Since then, with every appointment done with the same level of care and attention to detail as the first, she has earned my trust and business. I still struggle with just "having hair" in general, but she helps me keep it manageable. Borderline therapy work, what she does for me. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone, but especially to those of you who share similar struggles with me. I see you. She'll see you.
