I was in desperate need of a haircut recently and decided to check out Ume Salon. I made an appointment with Wing and had a great experience. What I liked most was how professional he was throughout the appointment. He didn't just cut my hair and send me on my way. He actually took the time to explain why he thought certain styles would work better and paid attention to details like angles, shape, and how the haircut would frame my face. You can tell he genuinely cares about his craft and takes pride in his work. I was very happy with the final result and liked the way he styled my hair as well. Sissy cut my hair. She took her time, focused a lot in getting the medium fade just right. Did clean small snips to trim the top and front of my hair. I go for a come-over to the side look. She did it cleanly, gave me a good line too. The cut comes with the hair wash at the end and they'll gell up your hair a bit afterwards to get the style you want. All for just $35. Shout out to Jack, who was the hair stylist for my husband! We made an appointment on the day of and they saw us right away. The interior was well-lit and clean. Jack was explaining to us his recommendations before the haircut and we are very pleased with how it turned out. Initially, my husband thought he wanted his hair to be much shorter but when Jack shared that it would be better to keep more hair to style the back of his head, we trusted him and we are so glad we did! The price is reasonable for the male haircut and I would come back to try their other services! Great experience, coming here for a last minute appointment. They accommodated and waited for me to get there by 6pm because I was driving from work which was nearly an hour away. Wing cut my hair and provided me with a consultation before cutting my hair. I share with him that I needed to be able to tie it up for work and that I didn't like the short bangs. He checked in with me when he cut the baseline layer to make sure the length was ok with me. I've Pinned and saved so many haircuts that were medium LOBs and how would I have known that it wasn't quite suited for me and my face shape. I appreciated that he suggested that I color my hair for better effect. Amazing salon! I've had both Cici and Angela cut my hair and they're amazing. The price is very reasonable as well. Both of them speak English as well so it's very helpful in communicating what I want. Ive had haircuts here and a straight perm and i definitely will be coming back every 6 months for a touch up. My hair is straight and manageable but not too straight where it's strange. It's very smooth and natural looking. My whole family actually goes here! If you do end up booking a perm, it doesn't include a haircut so be sure to book that additional service if you want it. I got my first straight perm here in the Staes and it was such an amazing experience. I typically only do my hair in Asia, but I thought I'd try out Ume Salon based on their great reviews and their fast response to my yelp request. My stylist Angela took great care of my hair, making sure it was washed and dried thoroughly, cut nicely, and that the treatment was applied properly. She checked in on me frequently, and overall just made sure I was doing okay in the chair - especially since the perm takes about 2-3 hours. She always was very knowledgeable about hair and was overall very friendly. The salon has such a clean and nice ambiance, so I am definitely going to be back for another round of treatment and hair cut in the future! My #ThankfulThursday goes to Angela at Ume Salon! I have been so busy moving homes this past year and kept pushing off my haircut. I know it's usually hard to schedule a haircut last minute and I stumbled upon Ume Salon that was several minutes away from me and decided to give them a call on Thanksgiving day when I was able to have a free morning. Angela picked up and scheduled me to come in within the hour. She washed my hair really well and cut and styled it in an hour. I would've hope that she would've used some hair oil or cream for my newly cut hair. For my long hair, she charged $70 which was very reasonable. It was a trim and just what my hair needed to get ready for the holidays. She told me that they just opened about 6 months ago. The salon has seats for about 6 stations and there was someone else getting a perm sitting in back of me. The hair washing was in the back of the salon and I didn't have a chance to look at the type of shampoo and conditioner. Thank you Angela for taking me in last minute on a Thanksgiving and Ume Salon for being open! read more

Angela is a wonderful hairstylist. She is friendly and very skilled. I'm rarely happy with my past haircuts from other places but she did an amazing job cutting it just the way I wanted with minimal work to style it. She also did a wonderful job cutting my son's very straight and hard hair, which is difficult to cut correctly. In the same afternoon, she also gave my son a cold perm, also very nice. Although hairstylist "Victoria aka Sisi " was very professional, the wait time is so long. I went to my appointment at 2 pm and I have to wait until 2.38 pm because I was told that previous client extended the appointment and requested extra service. The duration of hair color is only 20 mins but I needed to wait more than an hour to check on my hair. Until 4.08 pm, she didnt have check in my hair color. Its upsetting! the color even dry ! Its very disappointing! Very Poor Time management ! They overbooked at salon on that day. It took me almost 2.5 hours to have color done. I love my new haircut!!! This stylist listens, long layers and maintain my length. My favorite part was the hair wash, I almost fell asleep. He will make sure too that he isn't cutting off too much hair. I love that there's no fake small talk too, sometimes I just want to relax while I'm getting pampered. She did exactly that and styled it the exact same and it looked amazing! I went home and realized that I actually wanted it more flat than voluminous so I messaged her the same night and asked if I could come in to get it thinned out more and she managed to squeeze me in the next day. She was very kind and thinned it out exactly how I wanted and I can't be happier with my cut. I could tell she was booked through the day back to back so for her to make room for me the next day since I was traveling the day after was very sweet of her.
