Venezuelan inspired cuisine with delicious food, attentive service and a casual ambiance. The food is very fresh but I would not recommend coming here if you are in a rush because they do take a while to come out with your food. This is something that is a written warning on the menu. All of the meals were very tasty and they had Vegetarian and GF options.

Literally obsessed with this little spot as soon as I walked in. It's cozy yet vibrant. A lunch type spot that also doubles as a good coffee grab. The service was wonderful and fast despite it being lunch hour. The food was fresh and the sandwich was my favorite. I made a little mod on the sandwich and the kitchen happily made it. Can't wait to come back and visit!

Deconstructed chicken sandwich (no bread), with fresh vegetables, peppers, cheddar cheese and a chipotle mayo that had a very nice kick.

Have you ever felt like just taking a drive to some place that maybe you could've visited at some point in your 4 decades on this earth, but just never have? Well, I've been in that mood a lot as of late - travelling to places just a few hours away from my home town that I can't explain why I've never set foot there before. Thus, just last week, I wanted to (finally) wander on over to Key Biscayne and see this little jewel in the Atlantic for myself. After a few hours in the car, my brother and I were ready to chow. Thanks to Yelp, we found this place which was literally just a few hundred feet from where we had parked. Artisan Kitchen & Bar is situated on the corner of a plaza of small shops on the beautiful main road just north of the State Park on the Key. Walking in, this place had a really cool vibe about it. First of all, it was packed with all kinds of people having a great time feasting on a variety of dishes. Some were seated on the comfy couches in the front surrounded by hi top tables near the windows. The open kitchen, with a very wide bar for more seating runs parallel to regular tables that finish the seating area. The noise is a little louder than most places, but it wasn't overwhelming enough to become distracting. It felt like I was in a happening place that I knew would be a great experience. We were greeted by one of the many servers with menus and welcomed to sit wherever we wanted, so we bellied up the bar since there were plenty of spots for us. Despite the place being very busy, we were served quickly. There are plenty of options on the menu for discriminating palettes and diets, from sandwiches, salads and much more. Specials are brightly displayed on their daily chalkboard visible from any seat in the house as well. I had their chicken sandwich that I requested without the bread. The server brought it out with all the accoutrements to make it a very filling and refreshing meal. The chipotle mayo was full of flavor and had a nice kick to it to wake up the senses. Paired with their pomegranate iced tea (no free refills, though), I was very happy because the food was delicious and fresh. The bro had their ham and cheese sandwich which was very similar to a Cuban on the long thin bread, which he said was fantastic and looked good to me. Oh, let me not forget the best thing we shared - house made BACON FRIES. Oh yeah, they have several kinds of their fresh, crispy and very thin fries that you can get plain or topped with things like, um, bacon. That's all I can remember because that's all I wanted. They serve you a heaping helping in a small pail steaming hot and loaded with fresh bacon pieces. Man, I'd drive the two hours again just to have those with one of their many craft beers on tap. Highly recommended! Overall, Artisan was an awesome choice for a quick and delicious lunch with reasonable prices in a very hip place on a really beautiful island. I'll be back again, because the entire trip to the Key was definitely worth the time with partial thanks to this establishment.

I love ordering take out from Artisan on days that we crave Cachapitas and Reina Pepiadas. Their cachapitas are truly amazing and delicious! You get 3 mini cachapas topped with cheese. Great for sharing. Reina Pepiada is also a top winner. Arepa is spot on and so is the filling. I would say a bit more stuffing would be best, but that is just hungry me talking... PS: order online to save time and beat the rush

Lively atmosphere with great food. Went there for early lunch on a Saturday and sat right down. Friendly staff and great service.

I visited the Artisan Kitchen on a Saturday, which can or cannot be a mistake. Very busy and there was a 20-30min wait for a table. I decided to sit at the bar and get on with it. I ordered the Bacon, Fried Egg, Avocado, Arugula Burger (not sure the name) and it was dynamite! Everything here prepared fresh and with their open kitchen style, you see them make everything from scratch. Paired well with a Stone Delicious IPA. The vibe here was swallowed up by the overworked staff and seemed they were short a few workers the day I came in. The meal was worth the money, even at $20 for a lunch. With plenty of "Latin American" fusion items on the menu, I will be back in the near future. Next time, during the week!

Cute place for brunch on Key Biscayne but very over priced. My bagel sandwich (with one egg) was $17. Also seemed understaffed. Only one waitress for the outdoor area and she also seemed to maybe be new. Took a long time to get water after we sat down and my coffee I ordered came once I was almost finished with my meal. The food was tasty though and I like the Venezuelan options.

We usually hit a few brunch buffets per year on average; In my opinion, the offering at Lightkeepers is simply not worth the cost vs. brunch experiences we've had at other Miami area restaurants. We arrived and were seated right away on the outdoor patio and this area was dog friendly with a few patrons there with their furry companions. The server was friendly and outgoing throughout our time here and asked if we were interested in brunch. She listed off the usual, standard brunch drink options, but there was nothing terribly unique or creative about any of them. The one interesting thing is that they had carafes and dispensers of most of the brunch drinks at the end of the buffet line, so I guess if your server wasn't bringing them fast enough, you could go and get your own. One nearby table paid their tab and cashed out following their meal, but continued going back to those dispensers to serve themselves additional beverages before leaving. The buffet itself was solid, featuring most of the usual American-fare items one might expect and the amount of options and presentation was good, but really wasn't anything highly impressive or noteworthy, especially considering the pricepoint - which was $373 with included service charge and tax for 2 people. For brunch, I think I prefer the following: Prime Fish - Nearly the same unlimited food and beverage selections as Lightkeepers in a beautiful setting, but about 1/2 the price. Quinto in Brickell - Cheaper, also unlimited food and drink (though not buffet-style), with many more unique and creative bottomless drinks available vs. Lightkeepers. LaMar - Costs nearly as much as Lightkeepers, but more creative food options, incredible presentation, many more creative drinks vs. Lightkeepers and one can also request nearly anything they wish from the bar for the 2 hour bottomless time period.

On our first visit, they were practically out of their pastries at 11am on a SUNDAY. So we only had their coffee. I was blown away on how good it was. They really know what they're doing. Service was a bit off putting. I was standing at the register and the workers were talking amongst themselves non chalantly. Their coffee though merited enough for a second visit. This time they were actively baking and bringing out pastries. We enjoyed their coffee and had some pastries. This time a lady took my order and she was super friendly. Croissant: perfect. Flaky. Soft. Almond chocolate croissant: my bf had this one. It had chocolate and some kind of almond filling inside. He loved it! I'm pretty vanilla so I thought it was okay. Like I said, I'll be happy to support this business when we come and visit biscayne. See you soon!

The cinnamon roll was good. I would have preferred it with more glaze and maybe warmed up. The glazed donut was on the dense side. My favorite by far was the eggs deep which was a savory eggs, cheese and bacon inside a croissant. It was delicious. I honestly didn't want to share. The arroz con leche and mango chunks donut was also really good. It was moist and creamy. They also had Good Apple juice which I had been dying to find and it didn't disappoint. Service was great. Also, when we arrived here most all the outdoor tables for the surrounding restaurants were full, while the tables at Craft were empty for the most part. This Craft location isn't large - the interior of the restaurant is especially small with just a walk-up counter and a few smaller tables. Most of their seating is on the patio area in front of the entrance, and they were happy to move a few tables together to accommodate our group of 6. We each ordered a cocktail to start, which were well-made, and then we ordered our main courses. Those who got pizzas said they were really good. I had the milanesa caprese and it was also good, though the caesar salad I ordered for my side had large chunks of both tomato and bacon, and the white dressing definitely wasn't caeser and was relatively flavorless. While I'd give our overall experience on that night 4 stars and I'd note that service was attentive throughout our time here, there are other restaurants I'd likely patronize both in this plaza and the few adjacent ones before I'd consider returning to Craft for dinner. That said, I'd definitely come here as a solid spot for breakfast or a quick lunch.
