Artisan Movers just completed my move today. It was a local move, only 10 miles, but it was a large household. Chris came with 5 other movers and two trucks and arrived at 9:10 AM, and they were finished by 3:45 PM (delivered all items to our new rental house). Chris stressed that it was his goal to be as efficient as possible, and if I had any questions or concerns, that he would take care of them. I was very impressed with Chris and his entire crew. They quickly moved through the house and took all the boxes that we had packed and furniture items, and offered to take anything else we hadn't gotten to in our packing, which was a good bit. I liked the fact that Artisan Movers brought wardrobe boxes to be used in the move so I didn't have to pay for any (they take back the wardrobe boxes when the move is complete). They also took special care of my wife's upright piano. They were courteous, friendly and in good spirits the entire time. I am retired from 20 years in the Navy, and had been through 17 moves during that time. No move I have had previously compared to the ease and efficiency with which this move occurred. I am a total fan of Artisan Movers, and plan to use them again in 9 months when I move out of this rental house to a permanent house. read more

Details: I needed to schedule a move with a narrow time window on both ends, on a busy Saturday in June and only a week away. Loved Marc's communication style (he opened up a chat window to ask me questions while I was begging another mover to give me a Saturday AM timeslot) from beginning to end. I was considering another mover when a doctor I see suggested Artisan as he had used them and was very satisfied. I called and Dimitri came by and gave me a detailed description of what they would do and provided a detailed cost estimate. It was significantly lower than the company I had talked to earlier so I went with Artisan. They arrived on time and the foreman explained everything and they went right to work. All the guys were friendly and helpful and they made it a pleasant experience. At the new home they jumped right on where things where to go. If we said David's room or Sean's room or any other room they remembered and worked quickly. They finished early and under budget and did not break or damage a thing. Professional, punctual, friendly and FAST. I was a little wary going into it since last moving company we used (back in 2014, wish I could remember the name) were either hustlers or incompetent and I'm certain that they were dragging their feet in order to drive up the price of the job (ended up taking 3 grown men almost 8 hours at the cost of well over a grand for moving 2 bedroom apartment's worth of minimalistic furniture--highway robbery of the highest order). Well, I am happy to say that Artisan Movers has restored my faith in moving companies because our guys showed up on time, knew what the heck they were doing, moved like greased lightning and finished 2 hours early, reassembly and all. Artisan Movers came to the rescue! We own a gym and another gym was selling their old equipment at a great price...one problem, we needed to move it-quick! They sent us Chris, Miguel and Kevin and WOW!! We got there a half hour early to make contact with sellers and then started to lay out a game plan for the moving of the equipment. Artisan Movers got there promptly and jumped right in! They didn't shy away from picking up the heaviest stuff and organizing it perfectly in the van. I was impressed with Artisan's. Within minutes, Marc sent me a proposal and when I called with questions, he answered them fully. We moved my father-in-law into a new apartment. I contacted Artisan Movers in Rockville to move me from my old apartment to a new one. We used Artisan Moves for relocating from Maryland to Delaware and the experience was great. Challenging enough to move, but their up-Dimitry was professional, helpful throughout with all our questions and his estimate spot on (actually it came in a little under). The moving group were wonderful to work with. Hard workers, they wrapped everything, had to load 3 trucks, did not break or lose a think and were happy to move things a couple of times to satisfy a changing customer. Would work with Artisan again. Working with Artisan Movers for my move across town was fast and easy. Having moved before myself and with small groups through UHaul I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient the group was a the care they showed for my furniture. The only item I would look for Artisan to improve is there was significant confusion about what sort of packing required additional cost and what was included in the base package. Artisan Movers did a great job for our move from a townhouse to a single family home. I was very impressed by how hard the guys worked especially given the high heat that day. The quote I received was very accurate. Nothing was broken during the move, however some walls did get marked in a tight staircase, but it was an easy fix.
