Preface: We have to move quite often due to the nature of our work. I worked with this company, specifically , Ron, for a few months. Everything was communicated in a clear and concise manner. Day of delivery-March 2026: they used a 3rd party moving (broker) company to deliver my furniture. I specifically asked multiple times if they would do this. Ron denied this. The company arrived with only ONE add'l person. They then had to call for "backup" They were dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. They left my husband and I alone with furniture to have to reassemble (even though it was in writing that reassembly was incl). Thousands of dollars later, no update. No response. read more

Moving is typically stressful, expensive, and not easy especially state to state moves. This was my third one and hands down my BEST one due to 495 Movers. The ENTIRE went smoothly from start to finish. Starting with Josh who was a pleasure to work with. He was straightforward with everything and truly focused on making my move as easy as possible. The price he quoted me was exactly the same the day of the move. Compared to other movers it was way more reasonable. Plus 495 Movers gives unlimited packing boxes and paper (you pick up at there warehouse) which was another big savings. One of the biggest help was them packing my entire kitchen which was going to be a lot of me due to the short time frame of needing to move. Unfortunately, I don't recall the gentleman's name but he did a PHENOMENAL job packing my kitchen especially my delicate items that's been in the family for years. EVERYTHING arrived in the condition as he packed them. The day of the move, to my pleasant surprise, five men showed up. Josh certainly sent his A team cause Walter, Edwin, Efri, Cesar, and Edwin (there's was two of them) came ready to work and worked hard non stop until the move was done and they finished couple hours ahead of schedule. They were true professionals and EVERYONE handled ALL my items with care. They also packed the 26ft truck well. They were several items I was suppose to pack myself but circumstances didn't allow me to have it done before the move. I was going to do it while they were moving.They told me don't worry about it. They packed and got it on the truck. Victor and David arrived promptly at 8 a.m. with a friendly greeting and smile there face the scheduled day for unloading. Both unloaded the truck putting all my items exactly where they belong and made sure I was satisfied. My fridge was too big to get through the doorway. Josh and Victor didn't stop trying to figure out a way until they got it inside. They had to disassemble all the doors and put it back together. They never complained or acted as if it was a bother. Even with this challenge and assembling my other furniture Josh and Victor also finished ahead of schedule. All the guys are AMAZING!!! I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I HIGHLY recommend 495 movers for all your moving and/or packing needs. I can't say enough about them. When the guys arrived, they were like WHOA! And called the office. The office called and offered to send an additional guy to help pack what was left and get me moved for an increased price. I agreed. And let me tell you - it made all the difference. The guys were nice and not judgmental. Listened to my concerns and communicated clearly with me. Moving is super stressful. Being able to pick up boxes from one place and having that flexibility to increase the amount of help I needed on the spot? Worth every penny. I don't plan to move again anytime soon. If I could give zero stars, I would. We had a terrible experience using these guys recently. They damaged a LOT of our very expensive furniture. they inadequately wrapped it for transport, manhandled it on both ends, none of the guys wore gloves so they could not properly grip our heave and expensive furtniture and dropped it several times. Unfortunately for us, we did not file a claim in time due to family emergencies on our end. IN addition, several of our items are missing from our delivery. They also damaged our newly installed wood floors and newly painted walls. The repair work was so shoddy we had to pay to have their work fixed. All in all, this was a horrendous experience. I guess that's what I get for going with the cheapest quote. These guys are not professional and if you have heavy, expensive furniture, avoid these guys. The movers showed up on time, walked me through all the protocols and got started with great efficiency. Even when running into extreme roadblocks (our freight elevator shut down due to extreme wind and cold!) these guys remain steadfast and professional. Move was not fine, the company lost my property for 10 days. Consistently lied, and after it was all said and done they said sorry, told me they would call me back by the end of the week and never reached out again. TLDR I was an out of state mover who couldn't be there to ensure my property was received. The original location wasn't move in ready so I asked them to move it to a secondary location. The moving company refused to take it to that location, chose their own and made me pay through them, took possession of my property, even though I paid them the full amount and penalty fees before my property had fully been moved, and then lost my property for 10 days. Their response was to blame the delivery driver, tell me they were sorry and make me whole, then ghost me. Full Story: There was some miscommunication on the delivery date. I had a separate POC to confirm delivery. The driver called on a Sunday to confirm with my POC and I tried calling back an hour later to reschedule delivery but the number they called from did not answer or have a voicemail set up and my assigned customer service agent didn't respond (it was a Sunday) until the next morning after the driver had arrived to the destination. I discussed the next steps with my customer rep and again there was miscommunication with choosing a storage facility. I found a new storage unit to deliver my property and shared it with the driver. I left messages and called my customer rep multiple times over an hour and by the time she called back she stated they wouldn't use that storage unit but would use another one 3 miles further than my facility and had started unloading. Also, I'd have to pay storage rent through them as they were taking possession of my property and would charge me a second delivery fee at full price. After some back and forth stating I wasn't going to use them for a 3 mile move, we worked out a plan to get my property back that was going to take 5 days but they lost my property and couldn't find it for 10 days. I was surprised they decided to possession of my property even after I paid for the service and all penalty fees associated. There was no need for them to take possession of my property or take it to their selected storage facility when paid according to the payment plan we agreed to when hiring them. Even though my original location couldn't be moved to, I was still paying for the move to the second location and should have been able to select the new location. Instead they took possession of my property, even after paying my remaining balance and waiting fees. When I told them I wasn't planning on using them to move my property from the storage unit the customer rep said she would need to get approval before they would agree to giving me back my property. I got the approval but that process is concerning as they knew ahead of time I was out of state and couldn't address everything in person. I'm frustrated that they forced me to use a different, more expensive, and smaller storage facility further from my original location, even though I had to pay for it when I found a place before they did. Frustrated they were difficult to get a hold of for 24 hours. Frustrated the hoops I had to jump to get my property back even without the added issue of them losing my stuff. Frustrated that the person the storage unit's name was under took over 4 hours to contact the storage facility and give authorization to the storage unit for the transfer even though I was on a time crunch and wouldn't be able to transfer the contact until after Christmas. read more

This is a great moving company, from the very beginning to the end. The person who came to give us the estimate was very friendly and respectful. We got a very competitive price for our move, and every detail was handled in a timely and professional manner. The packers arrived exactly when we were told they would. They were extremely careful with our property and very fast. Everything was packed with great care by the team of six led by Milton. The following day another team of six loaded the trucks that arrived to the destination when we expected them. Again Milton handled the unloading that was flawless. He is very responsible and went as far as bringing back to Virginia a rug that he had packed by mistake, and delivered it personally to the person who was supposed to get it. Thank you, Milton. A mover left my family a message "YEAH BITCH! Whoever reads this wants some Dick!" on my kids' play room sign. I found this EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL coming from a "professional" mover who we trusted to pack and move all of our belongings. Makes me wonder if everything is in the boxes because we foolishly did not check their truck. They wrote this message in Spanish thinking we wouldn't be able to read it and left it propped up on the kitchen island. The other movers from 495 had to walk by him while he did this (anyone who has done a letter board knows it's a process to find and twist off each letter). Other movers had to read the sign and didn't do anything about it, after we treated them with respect and fed and tipped them well. The mover removed the letters that had my each of my children's names and a phrase about their new play room and added this vulgar message in its place. The plan was for our three kids to discover their sign when they entered the play room after thinking they had made a video tour for my clients. We do this sometimes since I'm a realtor and work with tons of families. I'd set up a beautiful playroom upstairs and had friends and family waiting to see this video of their surprised faces. Imagine my shock to find they'd done this and ruined the surprise moments before we took the kids to their new home. I'm still PISSED!! Let me start by saying that my movers and packers were very nice and did a good enough job. However, there are many things that are leading me to write this review. First, they severely damaged my two neighbors's property. One neighbor's front yard was run over by their truck, killing their foliage and mutilating their lawn. My other neighbor's fence was destroyed by their truck. Multiple posts were broken, the rail bent over, completely destroyed. My neighbors both provided quotes to the company and now the company won't reimburse them. This process has been totally time consuming and frustrating for everyone involved. Kira won't just take the quotes that are provided and they tried to send a "handyman" out to repair the things without the consent of my neighbors. They called me to tell me that they were on their way as if I'm supposed to be the one to get my neighbors' consent to have some random person on their property. Not only that, this is an issue I have that I haven't even been able to address with them given that the above issues have been so prominent: I was quoted for an 8 hour job based on everything in my apartment. Somehow, after selling half of my furniture and even hearing the movers comment that there wasn't "a lot" in my house, they still somehow managed to take the full 8 hours. It became very apparent to me that they were slow walking the job and not unloading the truck at a rate that would have allowed them to finish early. It took them 4 hours to pack and somehow the same 4 hours to unload. I'm not even getting into it with these people about the minor damage that happened to my items given the fact that they can't even pay for the major damage they caused to other people's property. Keep in mind, I paid extra $180 for insurance that should have covered UP TO $10,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE. And yet they won't pay the $1,000 for the fence and $40 for the landscaping. What's the point of reaching out about their staff obviously taking all of the time quoted and for banging up my furniture if they won't take responsibility for the much more obvious damage that they incurred. read more

WOW! This company restored my faith in "white glove service"! I have been moved professionally five times in the past 30 years, this was by far the easiest move of all. I have three boxes left to unpack, but I felt the need to sing praises about this company. So far I have had one (1) piece broken, that's not a complaint, that's a compliment. I'm actually to blame for it because I personally tossed it in a box which was about to be tapped up and said "oh didn't worry about wrapping that." That is the ONLY thing that broke and it was a picture frame from IKEA. All of our furniture was shrink wrapped after being wrapped in blankets. My great grandmothers buffet piece I was so worried about, arrived unscathed. I feel really lucky to have found this company. I can't even begin to tell you how much trouble I've had with moving previously. These folks were awesome! Arrived on time to pack us the day before, took care with all our possessions. During the pack out I got a call from the estimator Dean who suggested adding two more guys to the crew the following day because we lived on a third floor walk up. It would cost an additional $200 per hour to add the additional men. At first I honestly thought "what kind of scam is this? This is how they get ya" but in listening to Dean it made sense. We just moved from Maryland to Texas! We were a bit wary because last time we moved cross-country, we had a terrible experience. (We were basically scammed and the delivery took a whole month!) So it was a huge relief to find out that this company is just as good as the reviews said they were. The first step was having someone do an appraisal on all our stuff, we got a quote that ended up being almost exactly what we paid, even though we added some stuff we had initially thought about leaving behind. We received email confirmation for the estimate, and they were in constant communication with us the entire time. We were called when they were loading our stuff into the truck, as well as a few days before delivery, then the day before delivery and an hour before, so we could have the house ready to receive them. Our items were handled with care, and out fragile items and furniture were wrapped very well. Both teams were very professional and worked very quickly, despite my dog barking at them almost the entire time. 495 movers gave us the peace of mind we needed in a very stressful time, and the price we paid was very fair. I am overall extremely disappointed with my experience with this company. The initial customer service was great, I was even quoted pricing that beat out my former mover. I decided to go with 495 movers based on this alone. The movers came, they were great, but of course the move "required more time than initially thought". When I expressed my concerns after the fact, my calls and voicemails were ignored, at best. I didn't have anyone call me back until they were asking ME for a review! At that time, I reiterated my concerns to no resolution. I mentioned that I wouldn't leave a bad review. I have to now. The mirror that is supposed to ATTACHED to my bureau came crashing down today. The mirror was attached prior to the move, so one would assume it would be reattached given that it is a heavy piece, they had to dissect the two pieces to move it, and I am a petite single woman. We received quotes from 5 different local movers, all which were priced competitively so the choice came down to the non-labor rate details. The fact that all packing materials were included was a major deciding factor for us given our previous move experience where the materials were "nickel and dimed" to add up significantly from the original estimate. Kira's coordination of the move-day details and patience explaining the insurance options helped ease any additional concerns we might have encountered. The day of our move, Antonio communicated when they would arrive, took the time to walk through our home and understand our expectations, and led the crew exceptionally throughout the day. The whole team was professional, and polite throughout the very very long day (11.5 hours) - ultimately moving nearly 250 boxes and several pieces of very large furniture through unforgivingly tight stairwells. As we were moving from a 3-level townhouse, I cannot begin to imagine how many trips they made up and down our stairs. Even after all those stairs, Antonio and the team still graciously moved our very large sectional couch three separate times within our new home when I know they were exhausted. True professionals! Overall assessment: My stuff got from point A to point B undamaged, which is worth three stars in my opinion. I would consider 495 Movers if you have a lot of stuff to move because they bring a big truck. I don't recommend them if you are moving out of a one bedroom apartment with not much stuff and you're cost conscious (my stuff probably took up only 1/8 of the truck storage space). Pros: - Customer service team was very helpful and responsive, including giving me a bit of a refund since I was not satisfied with certain aspects of the move - The movers were very efficient in helping me pack up the remainder of my stuff that I didn't pack myself at the pick-up location. They have rolling equipment to help move boxes easily - The movers bring extra boxes in case you need to pack more stuff Cons (reasons for why not 4-5 star rating): - Unpacking at the delivery location costs extra, which I misunderstood when I agreed to work with 495 Movers. I was also dissatisfied that I paid for 6 hours of labor, yet I felt short-changed since we finished earlier than that.
