Here is how Mitch left my shower and walked out.

Update: Artisan stone cost me well over $5,000 in lost time, materials and labor. I also lost about a month dealing with the mess. I had to rip out all of the subpar work that Mitch did. He didn't put a liner in the shower which is not up to code in a condo. It would have leaked in a matter of months. I am finally back to square one and have a reputable tile installer doing the work. Be careful.

This is before...my tenants made the grout between the marble floor dark brown-black.

I picked this company based on recommendations on Home Advisor. The other recommendations were very pushy and rude over the phone, not trusting me to do the math on my floor size. Mitch gave me a quote based on pics of the tile (size 2'x2') and room size. He said it might change a little based on an actual physical assessment. He even threw in a quantity discount. The owner Mitch called the day before to say they wanted to push back the time because they had been working over 7 days straight. The next day Michael who works for Mitch called to touch base. He was pleasant and came, started working, made sure I was okay with the grout color match and did his thing. He was open to criticism and asked if I felt he missed anything. I was happy with the result. Looks like when I first bought the house.

He didn't think it needed to be repainted. We also agreed on grout shield to be applied to the floors as well as the edge of the tub. Mike scheduled the job on yelp and was quick to respond. Steve checked in with me the night before the job. He double checked what we were doing in the bathroom and we decided on a start time. The next day, Steve came out and was so nice and polite. He explained what how the job would go and that he would check in with us here and there. He scrubbed the heck out of the floor and grout. Then he went to town polishing the tub. He had me come look at progress and explained some stubborn spots and why they weren't coming out. He then polished again. At the end, he did applied the grout shield after we looked at the color that matched the best. He was at our house for about 5 hours and really did an excellent job on the tub and floors. True professional Tom came later to get payment and the seal the toilet since we talked about that in the estimate. We also talked a possible future job in the kitchen. I highly recommend these guys. They know their stuff, do quality work and are fair with their prices. I will be contacting them again.

The service men, Vincent and Ralph were prompt, courteous and professional. No issues with the preparation and execution. I pointed out the rooms, they inspected and got right to work. The cleaning machine pumps out hot water and the vacuum suck the dirty water out. Very efficient process. I highly you recommend using Magic Carpet and ask for Vincent and Ralph! You will not be disappointed!!!

The quality of service has gone down substantially from the first time we hired Magic Carpet Steam…read moreCleaning. We will not use this company going forward as the last visit was very unprofessional, job left incomplete as equipment was packed up before cleaning all of the area rugs, and we had to fight to get the invoice adjusted. The owner was given a walk through prior to the date of the cleaning so that he could be shown all of the carpet, the number of area rugs we wanted cleaned, and floor to be strip waxed. We were promised an estimate of the cost upon his return from vacation but none was ever provided. Several requests were made for the estimate that went unfulfilled. Due to no fault of the company, unfortunately the strip and wax could not be done. The painters we hired were not finished painting as they said they would be thus the room was not accessible. We communicated that to the owner informing him that the painters were not done as originally planned. We tried to reschedule but owner was not willing to accommodate. So we left it. I expected the owner to come prepared with all the necessary tools and equipment to do what they were hired to do and not ask us the customer for any equipment. Instead we were asked if we had a vacuum cleaner he could use. Of course the answer was no he should have come prepared and brought his own. We were extremely dissatisfied with the poor service provided. When the owner stated he was done he was asked about the remaining area rugs and he said that he already packed up his equipment. This was done without verifying the job was complete. There was a lot of back and forth with the owner that was not necessary and frankly was extremely disappointing. We had used this company for several years and were our go to company for steam cleaning and strip and wax. Now we are in the market for a new company to hire. Sad to say that we had to sever the business relationship. Hopefully, the professionalism improves for future customers.
