The room was decorated with all sorts of anime and comic artwork/memorabilia with the TV playing the Mandalorian in the background. A full service pottery shop, customers have the option to paint ready-made pottery, use a pottery wheel to craft a piece from scratch, or really get hands-on and use your hands to mold your own beautiful work of art. At the Yelp New Jersey Elite event, the hand building class was quite an experience where the friendly owners and staff showed us how to take a ball of clay and using pinch pot form, style it into a bowl. Once the bowl shape took form, we embellished the clay with molds to add design elements. I loved the paw print mold! The staff was very helpful to assist and made sure the art was sturdy and ready for the oven. We got to pick what color we wanted and the staff will paint it later. Pieces are usually ready 3-4 weeks after your visit, so it is a great reason to come back to the area to pick up the finished art. I loved to learn the location is dog friendly, as long as your dog is well-behaved. Since the experience requires full attention and is hands-on, being in control of your pup is extra important. There was a doggie guest there during my visit and was a perfect pup. Blue Skies Pottery also hosts events and collaborates with local businesses including hosting a paw print ornament workshop with the pet store next door. I loved my process during the one day wheel experience and decided to take their 4 week wheel classes. I mostly learned from their staff Danielle and she was an excellent teacher! One day wheel experience - $48 per person - perfect friend hangout or date activity! - make 1 piece on the wheel with expert staff guidance with options to make 1 more piece on your own - paint your piece with engobes paint and pick up your piece after a few weeks! 4 week classes - $200 total- such a good deal! Weekly 1 hr classes that includes all supplies, glazes and firing - make atleast 2 pieces depending on how your skills progress throughout the classes. I made 6 pieces but only took home 4! - I was a beginner so Danielle focused on throwing cylinders. However I wish there could be more variety in throwing different shapes- like a bowl - I learned so much from each class from wedging clay, centering, making even walls, trimming, making and attaching handles I loved my experience here and I'll be back to utilize their studio space for wheel throwing as well as glaze some of their premade pieces

My party agreed to the 6 pm class instead, however, it was not mentioned prior that this was actually a kids class that was scheduled. The instructor had the 3 of us adults and the few children doing different projects and so there was little to no direction throughout the class as well as much distraction. What was supposed to be a fun night out for my mom, sister-in-law, and me turned out to be a huge headache. We were all so relieved when we were finally rushed out the minute we finished our paintings.

Amazing art classes in particular Oil painting with Scott Nickerson, who is exceptionally talented and gifted. He is an inspiring teacher. I have been fortunate to be in several of Scott's classes. Classes are kept on the smaller side so you get personalized attention. Spots fill almost immediately when posted so don't delay act fast if you want to join in. You need to buy your own supplies which a list will be provided to you when you enroll. They also have a custom framing department that has provided to be useful after you complete your masterpiece. Classes are available for every level so don't be intimidated as everyone in my experience is so kind and supportive. Wear old clothes and let your artistic side come alive!

I enrolled my two children ( which are always bored without activities ). Since they began camp they have increased interests such as ice skating and cheerleading . Daily activities range from swimming, ice skating, arts , karate etc . There just may be too many to list . Kids come home, dirty, tired and excited to return the next day . Joe and Janice are amazing every step of the way starting with registration to picking up the kids. The camp has a bus company they partner with to make it easier for working families and late stay available. There truly aren't enough great things to say about the camp besides to pre enroll your kids and ENJOY!
