Had them (Jose and his crew) out again to finish my tree trimming. They took out a 40 foot birch for me to the stump and trimmed my hedge, plus my cleaned up my two additional pine trees. They cut the trees so easily, its a very hard job and they are pros. They did fabulous and we are very picky!!! They truly have an eye and a great crew. Every time I had them out it was the same people working. They have the same crew which great. They all work really well together. My husband and I got this mesquite tree 5 years ago for our 20 th Anniversary. It had fallen due to heavy rain and wind and not trimming it often enough. We were concerned about loosing it. I called Jose at this service. He was genuinely the nices guy. He was punctual gave a fair quote and arrived on time his crew was friendly polite. They cleaned up after themselves blew down the patio and did an amazing job saving my tree. One word of advice he said water a tree with small sustained drip. Update - I had to change my review because we keep finding large pieces of the poisonous trees that this company removed. We hired them to remove several Sago Palms from our new house, because all parts of the plant are extremely toxic to dogs/cats and the seeds are absolutely lethal if ingested. They ground the stump and ripped everything out, but left huge fragments of the tree everywhere, spread over the yard. They came back once to give it a more thorough pass after we complained, but two months later we're still finding huge, deadly pieces in the yard. Now I wish we had hired another company to remove them from the roots rather than just grind them down, but Artist assured us there wouldn't be a trace. read more

I had a backyard that hadn't been touched since the start of the COVID pandemic in March 2020. Weeds were literally about 3 ft tall and there was even one that was taller than the house. Jose and his crew are the consummate professionals. I needed two of my queen palms removed because the maintenance on them were getting tougher by the year. Jose gave me the most reasonable price out of all the tree services companies that I had consulted. We agreed to the price and within a week, Jose and his crew came to my house and in less than an hour, they finished the job. There were at least 5 people that came, which surprised me. One of the guys from a different Tree service company that I had talked to said that he would be the only person needed for the job. I needed three trees trimmed and some roots cut. The trees were too close to the house and would have caused us to fail brush clearance inspections. ATS had the best price quote, open availability and did a very good cleanup job after. There was a large, mature tree in the backyard that sadly had to come out. I had consulted with an arborist and specialists at both the Arboretum and the Huntington; all agreed. It was right up against the structure and one of its main roots was compromising both the tree and the foundation. Jose with Artist Tree Service was my third bid and came out on a Sunday to look at it. I was at ease with him immediately. He explained exactly what the work entailed and gave me a fair price, and was also the only company to give me an estimate in writing on the spot. I had two more bids, both higher, and they were using the same method to remove it; I called Jose back right away. They showed up on time, made a few attempts to notify the neighbors (they weren't home), and got right to work. Jose and his crew are complete professionals and clearly enjoy what they do! For a 50 foot tall tree it came down fast! Jose also ground down the stump even though it was positioned really close to a wall and some pipes, completely avoiding them. Really amazing. We have a number of tree on the slope in the back of the house that were in desperate need of trimming. They were big, and included pines, eucalyptus, and pepper trees. I don't know why, but every time we got a quote from a tree service, they failed to show up or follow through.
