My homeowner's insurance sent me a notice of non-renewal due to trees too close to the house (Wawanesa). This is happening a lot in Los Angeles because of the recent fires. I was very reluctant to have tree trimmers on the property again because some years ago I was sued when a worker was injured and his company refused to take care of him, so as the homeowner, I was on the hook. A few days ago, I was outside BBQ'ing when I heard a loud snap. Not the good kind. Turns out a massive branch (basically the size of a small tree) had broken off and landed squarely in the alley behind my house. Thankfully, no power or communication lines were affected, but the alley was completely blocked. Cars use it frequently, and emergency access would've been impossible. Not ideal. He walked me through what he and his company planned to do and explained everything clearly in advance, which I really appreciated. They arrived right on time and tackled a pretty massive tree trimming project for us -- one 70-ft tall eucalyptus tree and two very overgrown 40-ft ficus trees. I had an amazing experience with Pineda's Tree Care and am so pleased that I selected Ernesto and his team to provide brush clearing on my property. I needed a fast response to address a Fire Brush Clearing notice I received for my nearly 3/4 acre property. I decided to use Yelp to find top companies in my area who had experience with brush clearing and could respond quickly. Ernesto was not only the first to respond (within 5 minutes), but he visited my property that same day to evaluate the project. In all, I contacted 5 firms and all visited the property, but Ernesto was the most proactive and responsive of them all. He wanted to fully understand the project so we arranged to meet the following day and he sent me a quote later that evening on a Friday. While I did receive some other bids, Ernesto had the best follow-through and contacted me over the weekend to address any questions. In a small amount of time, Ernesto earned my trust by being not only responsive, but transparent about the costs and level of effort required to complete the project. The first day of work I could not make it to the property, so he started and sent me photos of the work and progress. Amazing! My property included steep hillside work, trimming trees and bushes and cleaning all the leafy foliage, twigs, branches and even the removal of fallen wood fence debris. His team had to use a winch to pull the large branches up the hill.
