Pete Escobedo (owner?) met with me twice today while I tried redeem a gift certificate my wife…read morepurchased on 04/18/2023 (see photo) as a birthday gift for me. Pete informed me that it was his policy that he will not honor this gift certificate-nor would he honor ANYONES' gift certificate, regardless of the amount, once a year from the purchase date has passed. He further informed my wife and I that this happens frequently and that "he cannot make an exception for anyone otherwise everyone would want an exception." After learning that state and federal consumer protection laws require a business to honor gift certificates for five years from the date of purchase of said certificate, I, out of respect for him, went back for a second visit and asked him if he would honor the gift certificate given the consumer protection laws. Pete responded by telling me I was threatening him and also told me I was being recorded on video. I was completely calm throughout the interaction, and also made a recording. He then told me that "he didn't have time for this" and asked me to leave the premises. He also stated I should never return. I would never purchase a gift certificate from this business nor this individual. His work appears to be great. It's unfortunate we could not come to some agreement, as I tried multiple times. He informed me that if I don't like his policy, I should sue him. Unfortunately his policy does not supersede state or federal law. During this interaction, Pete also moved into my personal space. I let him know that I had recorded the interaction as well. His physical presence made me uncomfortable as I was ordered off the premises for requesting the redemption of a gift certificate. The video and audio recording serves as verification of his words and actions as well as my calm approach despite him claiming I had threatened him. DO NOT BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES FROM THIS PLACE EVER!!! Did I mention he also said they are non-transferable to any other person? The business only accepts cash as well, and after 1 year, you can wipe yourself with for life's gifts certificates, so give cash instead!

I came to the shop on…read morea walk in for a super simple tattoo and met with Sly, connected with her and her work, and decided she would be my artist moving forward. The shop is clean and has all private rooms. She was able to draw up this cat shaped floral piece in just a couple hours and it surpassed my expectations. The intricacies and depth of the flowers is incredible and her pricing is very affordable. Sly offers a broad range of work and I'd recommend her and the shop to anyone looking to get a tattoo or piercing!

On another note, I was approached by a coworker this last week who inquired about my tattoo. She admired it from afar for the color, but up close could easily see my dismay at the way it turned out. See previous pictures. When asked where I had it done I told her Liquid Ink 2, and she would be wise to steer clear of there for ANY future work she may have done. She agreed. She told me of an instance about two weeks ago involving her cousin (we'll call her Jan) getting her ear pierced. As anyone with piercings and tattoos knows, something as minute as an ear piercing is a walk in the park. And for Jan, a seasoned vet when it comes to pain, it was just gonna be another piece of hardware to add to her collection. After her ear was marked and she felt the needle go through, she actually heard Brian mumble "Oh shit". When asked what the problem was, Brian immediately turned to Jan and told her he had messed up her piercing, but it was HER fault! He told her "you moved" which couldn't have been farther from the truth. Now these claims could easily be disputable with the "he said, she said" & typical denial.. but it was captured on VIDEO. I so terribly hope it will upload so people can see what a joke this so-called "professional" is! Brian is a geriatric has-been who clearly has some kind of vision problems these days prohibiting him from seeing the tattoos he's inking on people.. & the lopsided holes hes putting in their bodies. It's SO far beyond passed time to retire. I won't be satisfied until I drive past Liquid Ink 2 and see him out of business. I'll continue to tell everyone I know about the shotty work done by this dirty man!

I went in to get my septum pierced and Micah an older man with long white hair about mid height pierced my cartilage instead of the sweet spot and since he claimed to be professional I can only assume he knows he pierced the one spot your literally not supposed too and even heard a "soft crunch" as my boyfriend described it since he came along in the room with me.......this wasn't my first time getting my septum pierced as I mentioned to Micah before he blamed the difficulty on scar tissue but I knew it hurt a lot more.........fast forward 3 days later I w ent to Twisted Tattoo for a second opinion and he said instantly it was wrong even got it on recording that he knows him and KNOWS BETTER..........
