EcoView Windows & Doors of Tampa Bay - Window Installation

July of 2024 we signed our contract with EcoView Windows for replacement of 7 of our horrible old…read morewindows. Over the last 10 years we've had many of the large window companies come out to give us an estimate and we were just never impressed with the high-pressure sales tactics. A neighbor had used EcoView and we really liked how her hurricane windows looked so she referred us to EcoView. Frank Thatcher with EcoView impressed my husband from the moment he came to give us the estimate. Six of the 7 windows were in place for both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton and I have to say I would have NEVER stayed in my house without them!!!! I will say, due in no part to Frank and his team, we had a number of manufacturing setbacks but today our windows went through their final inspection and the City Inspector was very complimentary on the windows and the job done. When it's time to replace the rest of our windows we will only use Frank Thatcher with EcoView!!! He is trustworthy, customer focused and a true man of his word! Thanks Frank!!

We initially connected with EcoView in spring 2025 following a presentation and proceeded with our…read morefirst payment shortly thereafter. While we understand that manufacturing and shipping windows can take time, the complete lack of communication during the waiting period was unacceptable. Months passed without any updates or proactive outreach from their team. Installation finally took place in September 2025, but the quality of the work was deeply disappointing. The windows themselves had argon gas leaks, which resulted in significant interior condensation. There has also been significant interior condensation during cold weather, along with consistent, noticeable drafts. It still smells like outdoors inside, indicating there is clearly an ongoing air leak that has not been resolved. Additionally, the exterior painting work completed after installation was subpar and poorly executed. Since then, multiple issues remain unresolved, including a broken balancer and interior window components peeling near the aluminum sections. Rather than taking responsibility, EcoView redirected us to the manufacturer to address these problems. Even then, it required persistent follow-up and considerable effort on our part to get any traction or assistance. Although we are now scheduled for replacement windows in April 2026, the overall experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. Communication was consistently lacking, and commitments were not honored in a timely manner. Our interactions with Marco Scalise were particularly disappointing, as we were repeatedly assured that issues would be resolved, yet months would pass with no progress. He displayed a lot of anger and combativeness at times, got personally insulting with my husband at one point, yet never followed through or got things done. We are having to work around him because he is unpleasant and ineffective to deal with. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend EcoView due to their poor communication, lack of accountability, and unsatisfactory workmanship.

Sadly I will be joining the encore of 1 star reviews for this company…read more What a total and utter crapshoot. I have honestly never dealt with worse laziness, unprofessionalism and incompetence in my life, and I own a construction business, we deal with contractors all the time. I bought a fixer upper and had a Pella sale man, Gary Wise, come to give us a quote on whole house window replacement. We ordered custom fiberglass black windows and doors for the front and back, as well. I will join other reviewers in saying that what I was sold was not what I got. The doors specifically were sold to me as solid wood- they are NOT. They are plastic. Totally trash. And there is no recourse. If you complain to this company, they get very hostile. This was almost two years ago. I paid the upfront deposit which got me a discount, I believe it was half of the total price paid upfront. That's when the nightmare began. Delay after delay after delay. Almost a full year before we got *any* movement on our project. And then it was with so many items lost in their warehouse, and others installed in the wrong holes etc. I've never seen anything like the incompetence and excuse making that Pella displayed. The buck got passed so many times. And also the total unprofessionalism we experienced speaking to the guy named Ron. There is no system for checking that things are getting done in a timely manner, zero accountability. So then we got back on the waiting train, for everything that had been lost to be replaced. After MONTHS, we started to get movement again, but again, things were still lost, and not everything was done. That's when they started hassling us for more money. Which of course was astounding after the way the job had gone. But we paid, because we actually do what we are supposed to, unlike this trash hole company. And here we are, 1.75 years into this job, and we are still missing parts and pieces and one whole window. We get hassled multiple times a month by Pella, to pay them the final installment, despite our job *NOT BEING DONE AT ALL* We are considering taking them to court. We have a great lawyer.

The initial consultation and final measurement with Eric, was very professional and Eric went over everything that had to be done. Eric is not a salesman, he has been in this profession for years, and is the owner. It was refreshing to have someone who actually knows what the job entails and not just a salesman was refreshing. The price of the materials and installation was very competitive. The doors and windows came in earlier than expected and installation was scheduled. Chris, Mike, Aaron, Dave and Walt were here for about 5 1/2 hours. They all were experienced, professional and completed a some what difficult project. My house was built in the late 50's so everything is not standard-sizing, etc., they did have to work through several issues. Everything passed inspection. There are some scratches, marks in the glass of the kitchen window and glass panel on the back door. Oscar came and noted everything and the glass panels are in the works to be replaced. This is nothing that the company damaged, just defaults in the glass. The consultation to final measurement to installation to setting up the inspection were all stress free. I could not say one bad thing about this company. I would highly recommend this company to friends, family and neighbors.
