He was so helpful with advice & suggestions & saved us money by using our existing doors which were still in good shape. Now I don't know too many businesses that will be honest & say you don't need doors just the inserts are fine, he is definitely the exception to the rule. The Pros: They offer hard-to-find custom sizes (42"/49" x 86") without needing a full custom carpenter. Ordering was smooth, and production finished two weeks early. The Cons & Nightmare Experience: Zero Communication: Once handed to shipping, status updates stopped. I called daily with promises of callbacks that never happened. Damaged Delivery: The shipper is a third-party affiliate to US Door so keep that in mind, the company that was selected by US door was Roadrunner. Roadrunner missed the assigned delivery date. The only reason that I was able to get any information was to call Roadrunners customer support in which they told me that they had lost my door. Again, another company that if I did not call I probably still would not have my door. They apparently found my door on a different truck, and it was too late for delivery, I demanded that this should be delivered the next day, which they obliged thankfully. The delivery guy left the door at the end of the driveway and had my SO sign the paperwork at the bottom of the driveway not telling her to inspect it (this is where we went wrong since nothing was written on the delivery note). I have video evidence of this, and I have video evidence of the condition it was delivered, and the delivery guy took a picture of where he left the door. Quality & Delay Issues: Unboxing revealed damage from both terrible craftsmanship and rough transit. Because the door couldn't be installed, my stucco crew had to be rescheduled--causing a 5-week project delay and extra labor costs. Inadequate Resolution: Claims only offered a full return (6+ week delay) or a 25% refund. I took the 25%, but hiring a carpenter to fix their defects costs more than the refund provided. Verdict: Highly recommend looking elsewhere for a door! But if you need to use US Door - BUY SHIPPING INSURANCE and expect zero proactive support if things go wrong!

Over the last 10 years we've had many of the large window companies come out to give us an estimate and we were just never impressed with the high-pressure sales tactics. A neighbor had used EcoView and we really liked how her hurricane windows looked so she referred us to EcoView. Frank Thatcher with EcoView impressed my husband from the moment he came to give us the estimate. Six of the 7 windows were in place for both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton and I have to say I would have NEVER stayed in my house without them!!!! I will say, due in no part to Frank and his team, we had a number of manufacturing setbacks but today our windows went through their final inspection and the City Inspector was very complimentary on the windows and the job done. While we understand that manufacturing and shipping windows can take time, the complete lack of communication during the waiting period was unacceptable. Months passed without any updates or proactive outreach from their team. Installation finally took place in September 2025, but the quality of the work was deeply disappointing. The windows themselves had argon gas leaks, which resulted in significant interior condensation. There has also been significant interior condensation during cold weather, along with consistent, noticeable drafts. It still smells like outdoors inside, indicating there is clearly an ongoing air leak that has not been resolved. Additionally, the exterior painting work completed after installation was subpar and poorly executed. Since then, multiple issues remain unresolved, including a broken balancer and interior window components peeling near the aluminum sections. Rather than taking responsibility, EcoView redirected us to the manufacturer to address these problems. Even then, it required persistent follow-up and considerable effort on our part to get any traction or assistance. Although we are now scheduled for replacement windows in April 2026, the overall experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. Communication was consistently lacking, and commitments were not honored in a timely manner. Our interactions with Marco Scalise were particularly disappointing, as we were repeatedly assured that issues would be resolved, yet months would pass with no progress. He displayed a lot of anger and combativeness at times, got personally insulting with my husband at one point, yet never followed through or got things done. We are having to work around him because he is unpleasant and ineffective to deal with. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend EcoView due to their poor communication, lack of accountability, and unsatisfactory workmanship.
