The windows are PGT, the installers did a great job, full stop. Their people in New Port Richey are totally lost, I wanted to say worse but refrained. I had two windows at different times, and the same issues happened both times. Permitting screwed up, times for inspections screwed up, no follow up calls that I requested. Terrible job... as long as they have your money, that's all that matters. parts were loose, screws missing, pencil marks everywhere, really careless. Very disappointed in the quality of work for the price we paid. No shocker... when it was time to verify the work, inspection failed. Requested a quote and they came out July 10, 2025, it's July 17th and I still have not received the quote. I was told that I should receive it by the end of the day (July 10th). I text Nicole but no quote. Nicole appeared to be confused during the consultation - had to count & measure the windows 3 times. I am not comfortable recommending this company. read more

It took 3 more visits and several months passed before the doors I ordered were installed where I was told they would be installed. They still are not installed in a way that would make sense, but I'm done trying to get it done right and I'm not spending any more money on them. They recessed the doors but the door jams are still below the floor. They could have put the door jam on the floor to make it look like every other door in my house, but there is still about a half-inch gap that still holds dirt and looks terrible. They do have a recess now but it is about half the size of the rest of the doors. I am going to live with it now because I don't want to wait 3 more months to have it corrected. They don't know their own products, and the manufacturer doesn't either. I was told they didn't make a doggy door with a lock, but I now have a doggy door with a lock. At least that was corrected. To recap, they don't make the doors. They install them, and they aren't good at it. Stay away from Lipton. read more

Greg Rocklein, 941-725-2179, Sales and Installation, has been great from the very start. They installed 5 windows and a patio door in less than 5 hours. They cleaned up after themselves inside and out. Installation was without damage to the existing structure. All refuse was removed from the premises. Lipton Window and Door has been a pleasure to work with! My wife and I hired them to replace 32 windows and the front door and sidelights. All of the new windows and doors are high impact PGT. We had purchased a historically designated property and had to jump through a lot of hoops to get the windows approved, including a public hearing (which changed to a Zoom hearing thanks to COVID-19). Because of the bureaucratic process, it took longer than expected, through absolutely no fault of Lipton. More importantly, Lipton keep us informed and helped throughout the entire process. Greg in sales was excellent to work with and definitely helped to ensure we got a good deal on the windows. We had shopped around multiple quotes and Lipton did the best and beat the rest. Jeff, the installer, was efficient and extremely hardworking. It took a couple days to complete everything but frankly it was completed faster than I expected. Tim, the owner, personally came out to the property on multiple occasions, including to meet with the historical people, participated with us in the public hearing, and was very hands on, patient with the process, and extremely communicative for being the owner! Tim went above and beyond and we are very thankful for all his help. We did decide to finance the windows and went through Greensky. Due to delays caused by the historic designation and COVID-19, the window for the purchase closed before the job was done. Greensky assured us about 2 months before the purchase window closed that it could be reopened for the final charges once Lipton was complete. That process was a wreck and extremely difficult. All of that blame goes to Greensky. Despite those frustrations, Tim and I took turns calling Greensky multiple times a day for about 2 weeks. Finally Greensky was able to comply with the request (that they previously assured us would be no problem). Tim was very helpful with the entire process and I am thankful for his patience in waiting for the final payment as we worked together to fight against the corporate roundabout that Greensky kept giving us! I am so thankful for the amazing work and extremely diligent customer service that we received from the entire Lipton team! read more

I live accross the street from the Gulf of Mexico. The doors didn't leak a single drop after hurricane Ian, a perfect fit. I raised my rating to 4 stars, they did a godd installation. It would have been 5 stars if they had just filled the holes and sanded them & wiped their hand prints off. Then the doors would have been "ready to paint". read more

Absolutely by far the best experience we have had with a contractor on a major project. Pricing was fair and comparable to other hurricane windows/door companies. With the current nationwide supply chain issues and backlog of material orders, our order was delayed by 6 or so months.. However, Misty at their office was incredibly responsive and communicative as to the progress of the materials being delivered. Extremely understanding and professional through the entire process. She was just downright nice and pleasant to deal with, even when I was getting frustrated with the material delays. I am much more prone to window shop than shop for windows but when the home improvement bug bites it's good to know about folks like Timothy Lipton, president of The Window Source. This project was simply for one window but I always felt like my business was valued. Tim, as well as the guys who installed the window, were always prompt, courteous and had endless patience when it came to answering my questions or working within the constriction of a condominium community. I did have to wait for the window to be ordered and shipped but I was not in any rush so that was not a problem. The work was done quickly and the end results look fantastic so I would definitely want to work with these guys again. read more

The only reason I am giving them two stars and not one is the first quote I asked for a month or so after the hurricane came very quickly, I had to be sure their product passed the building code, so it took some time to make my decision. I called back in February and was told there was a price increase in January so I asked for a new quote (in writing) 2-3 times with no response. I am now ready to do the job. If they would honor the quote done in November I would jump on it. I did get a verbal quote of approximately xx over the phone but we all know that isn't worth the paper it's not printed on lol. Wish these guys would at least respond to my multiple emails. My thoughts..... if they are this bad at getting me a quote, how will the customer service be...?? read more

I got several estimates before I chose a company to install my windows. All of the "factory direct" places were 20-30+K MORE than these guys. The installation was quick and clean; the guys installing were professional and amiable. They did have to order the windows but they didn't take any longer than any of the other companies had promised. I wouldn't use anyone else. This isn't a marketing company that sells windows, so you aren't paying for telemarketing and ads. Honestly, I don't know how these other companies stay in business with their outrageous markups. read more
