I came in for the Friday the 13th event last week. Met a new artist [new to me not the shop] G (Gideon). I explained about my thin skin, subject to the color bleeding outside the lines. He listened carefully and understood the problem Older saggy thin skin is a challenge. Sure enough, one little tatt had issues but the second one didn't. The line work was great on both. The claw looks drawn perfectly in the curve of the toes and claws. Still love it. The tattoo was amazing. Lines are clean, looks drawn on my arm. Lol. I was in town on business and decided to try this shop after reading their reviews. I called ahead of time and they said a walk-in that evening would be fine. What I wanted was pretty simple. The artist worked well with what I wanted, placing and replacing it several times until it was perfect. Color was excellent, he even touched up an older piece and it looked better than before. Staff was very nice! I will start with that. I had Jerry, Gerry, idk how to spell it. I am not very happy with my tattoo though. I wish the photos i attached were more clear so you can see closely how jagged the lines are. I wanted a ukrainian trident symbol. You can clearly see that maybe 1/4th of the lines are straight. The loops aren't even equal, the line is not even connected straight on the top, it's randomly filled in in areas it should not be. I cannot get it fixed because it will just make it thicker, I am honestly embarassed to show this to people given that it's in such an obvious spot. I was very proud to get a ukrainian tattoo to honor my heritage, but this is upsetting. . It is overall an awful tattoo job. read more

Amazing work! My mom and I went to the shop on Tuesday before thanksgiving to get some small things done. Biggie helped us out and got both our designs done perfectly. The shop was clean, friendly, and the work came out perfectly. He added on some white ink to my moms tattoo to help it pop. It was her first tattoo and he was super patient and calm with her. Overall highly recommend him, his line work was perfect. The following day we took my sister in and got a tattoo with her. Biggie had an appointment so Allyson was about to help us. She was able to capture what my sister wanted and resize them so each of us got them done in the locations we wanted. She gave us recommendations too about placement so it would last. Allyson, loves doing birds so it was perfect she ended up doing ours. Super nice to chat with and the work came out perfectly. We all loved them. I would highly recommend this shop. Don't know who I liked better because both artists were amazing. So glad they were able to take some walk-ins. read more

I had visited artistic impressions before for piercings and have always been very happy with the level of service and competence of the piercers that they hire. I've been thinking about getting a piercing for a little while and just found myself and split decision turning in to the parking lot of artistic impressions. I was glad I did because Audrey was there. She is an apprentice Piercer and they were offering a discount if I chose her as my Piercer. I did and was not disappointed! She was super friendly very confident and was patient with helping me find just the right position for my new nose piercing. Aubrey Will be working at the Cypress location of artistic impressions on Thursday Friday and Saturdays. She's offering five dollars off piercings it sure would appreciate your business to help her get more clientele. Overall my experience at the Katy location of artistic impressions was very good. They were even sweet enough to let me park my bike inside LOL. I've never gotten a tattoo from them but I imagine their tattoo artist are equally as competent as their piercers. I'm a huge fan of this whole studio. I've had my nose pierced and 3 tattoos done here. I can't remember the piercers name, but I really liked him and will return for another piercing soon. I use Erick for my tattoos and he's freaking awesome! I hate to share because he's already busy and I'm a little selfish, but he deserves to be recognized as an outstanding artist. He's also very gentle and that's important, especially since I'm a big baby and have an issue with shots and giving blood. Lol I recommend calling and then stopping by to get an appointment. My boyfriend uses another guy who's not as experienced as Eric, however, his work is phenomenal. You'd never know he hasn't been doing this very long. So far, he's had two tattoos done here- one on each forearm and they're very nice. All in all, I'd say this is a one-stop shop for your piercing and tattoo needs. A few things that I have learned after dealing with Jorge from Artistic Impressions this weekend. 1. Jorge was 1 hour late for my appointment with him. 2. Someone at the main shop had to call him to remind Jorge that he had a consultation with me that day. 3. Jorge had no recollection of me or our email conversations or the tattoo that I wanted him to do. 4. My tattoo will be a black tribal elbow piece. Jorge wanted $180.00 an hour to do a 5"X5" tattoo. 5. Jorge said this relatively small tattoo would take him 8 hours to do, which would cost almost $1400.00 6. After telling him that $180.00 an hour was way out of my price range for an 8 hour tattoo, he changed his price to $125.00 an hour, which I thought was STILL way too much for a simple tattoo. I haven't gotten a tattoo in over 20 years. That being said, I still think Jorge's prices are way too high. I honestly feel he was trying to get one over on me. I have already reached out to several other tattoo shops FBCO area and they said the tattoo I want can be done for a flat fee between $350-$500. That seems a lot more reasonable. So buyer beware. If you choose to use Jorge with Artistic Impressions, have him explain everything to you before he takes that $200.00 non-refundable down payment. read more

My only problem with my piercer was that i didn't get asked if my tongue piercing looked okay to me. Being that i've gotten both sides of my nose pierced and was asked if I liked the placement I guess I expected to be asked. Luckily the piercing came out perfectly. We had asked if my sister could go to the back with us and he said no which is very understanding due to COVID, but when I asked him to change the spot where my piercing was he just looked at me annoyed. I got my first ear piercing there I only got one side done the guy that did it wore boots and a hat, he is the most unprofessional piercer I have met so far, not only did he seem like he was being forced to be there but he didn't give me any aftercare directions. Also the piercing that I got from him never healed correctly and it hurt for far longer then any other piercing that I got at a different place.
