Literally the worst service I have ever had in my entire life. I feel that if I went to a restaurant that was in a maze that had blind people as servers, I would have gotten faster service. This place is a sparkling gemstone in a sea of other gemstones (because Deano's pizza is the bomb.com). There's a youthful, artsy atmosphere that makes it a hip happening vibe station that I would be proud to blog about on Tumblr if I was a 16 year old girl with a fake ID. They've got local art on the wall and chalkboard tables for me to unleash my art monster on. The local beers on tap made me Geaux Local and Geaux a little wobbly. Minus one star because the tool wagon behind the bar brought his friends to gossip about the hot girl at the party that was an obnoxious drunk; he didn't fail to give an outstanding impression of her yelling "YOU'RE SO SEXY", volume and all. I was able to live this guy's past in real time with almost the same decibel level, which may float somebody's rubber ducky, but we weren't feelin' it. read more

From its high walls, ornamented with billboard canvases of abstract impressionism, to the impeccable, ninja-swift service, Artmosphere has an executive-account feel. There's a section of the menu, David's Private Stock, reserved just for power-ordering high-rollers, where a 33-ounce rib steak for $89 screams, "you must be this rich to ride this cut of beef." Fortunately, there's luxury to spare for everyone else, and exquisite food, too. Growing up in a pork-free household has led me, as a "grownup," to pork addiction. I feel as if I need to call my sponsor when the server sets down a charcuterie plate ($25). It's a porkaholic's Christmas (believe me, it's nothing like Hanukkah) to be presented with bacon two ways: chewy, cured and smoked speck, and plump strips cooked sous vide with maple syrup and Creemore. There are crescents of salami-like vizari next to a quenelle of clean, buttery Berkshire pork fat that I eat every lick of. Gorgeous little nuggets of pork cheek - brined, cooked, pressed, smoked, and fried - glisten with a high-fat content that grabs the light like a jewel. The service is flawlessly attentive without being intrusive. Fresh cutlery materializes out of thin air and empty wine glasses disappear like they never existed. Talented servers read body language to maximize usefulness. When one of us leans into a dish, brow furrowed, to closely inspect a sauce, shazam, there's someone on the spot to explain it. There's no fanfare, no circus sideshow of garnishes to distract from the four, miniature, porcelain pots de crème ($10). A divine showcase for strong, finishing flavours, each is filled with three or four spoonfuls of custard infused with a distinct, potent essence: pistachio, coconut, coffee and chocolate. I like the vibe at artmosphere.. but wtf with the bathroom situation?!? I hear the men's bathroom doesn't have a sink.. that has to violate some sort of health code. The women's bathroom is super janky and the door always has you questioning "is it really locked?" No one wants to pee in that kinda headspace.... Invest in your bathrooms, please. read more

This was out favorite bar on our brief stay in Lafayette. It kinda draws a mix of cool, weird and lively people, because (from what I saw) there's not much else to choose from in lafayette night life. But we had a good time there, the bar staff are friendly, they played a fine selection of sixties music and the drinks seem very cheap to us new yorkers. read more

Showed up for kareoke. Pretty fun Tuesday night. Very crowded. The bartenders measure every shot but not expensive. Nice vibe - kinda of- well not sure what to think really. Nice outlay - two outside areas and fun people - they all seem fun and happy. read more

Absolutely terrible service. I made this Yelp account with the sole purpose of rating this place abysmally. Wish I could have retracted my tip. We were the only diners in the place, alongside one barfly who was the only person getting any attention. Happy to order at the bar, which was fine, they were out of tea and coffee, weird but ok, then once served the so-so food we were left to our own devices for half an hour or so with our dirty plates, looked at sideways occasionally by the guy behind the bar and ignored. I don't normally even notice customer service really but this just angered me. I didn't complain at the time as I was waiting and hoping for some iota of interest by eventually just left :( read more

I am a touring musician and travel year round. We always look forward to coming to Lafayette so we can hang at Artmosphere! The staff and the patrons are always so welcoming to us and the FOOD IS AMAZING! It's great to be surrounded by local art and there is almost always someone there working on their next creation. Came to this bar for the first time, from out of town. They had people there that brought their kids! ALL OVER THE PLACE. I'm sorry, the food was good and so was the beer but any establishment that is a BAR, should NEVER allow kids. I don't care if there is some dumb Irish band playing. Keep the kids at home or with a sitter. Unethical and really ridiculous. I even heard a dad say to his 10 year old daughter that forgotten drink at the bar to grab her drink and to "never leave her drink unattended at a bar". Seriously? I guess he thought it's never too early to teach her that she doesn't want to get rufied. What a moron. read more

Excellent food, patio, bar selection, and weekly schedule. Mostly friendly employees. My only suggestion is that they get more indoor seating near the stage that is not a 6-top or 8-top family booth. It is extremely uncomfortable to be a single person or couple trying to see the stage when parties of 6 or more are allowed to push all the small tables together. Which is more often than not. The rest of the customers and musicians mill about awkwardly or even sit on the floor. read more

Loved the atmosphere here. The weather was fantastic so the patio was a great place to sit & listen to the music. A funky Japanese group started off for the evening, followed by a 2 man acoustic Cajun bluegrass team. It was suWeet. I really enjoyed their tunes. I hope to see them again & to sit outside & enjoy the weather & the relaxing beat of younger souls. Forgot to mention that we Loved our bartender. She was all over it. read more

First visit here was decent so I decided to bring my family back. Big mistake. Server was okay, but took so long to take our order/refill drinks that we thought they forgot about us. We were only one of a few tables in the restaurants too. Food and appetizer took extremely long to come out and when we got our sandwiches there was 90% onions and 10% meat. Food was not good and with the service we received, we will not be going back. Not sure if it was just the staff on duty or just the regular. read more

The recent improvements on this place has done wonders! It's always been one of my favorite hang out spots with my friends, but now I find myself there 3 or 4 times a week, sometimes just to eat lunch! The staff has changed greatly over the past year or so, and for the better. Everyone there is super friendly and welcoming. I recommend hanging out here to eat, to study (they have free wi-fi), or to enjoy live music. Awesome beer selection, cool food selection (food is served allll day!). As chill as a spot you can find in Lafayette to listen to great music, enjoy some good food, and drink some tasy craft beer. First starting coming here in 2010 and the place has changed quite a bit in the few years I've been coming, all for the better. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. The beer selection is top notch, and the food never disappoints. There's usually live music 5 times a week and you never know what kinda band to expect.It's non smoking and even though I do smoke it's nice to sit in a bar without smelling like an ashtray when I go home. They also have the buzztime free trivia which is pretty cool if you wanna spend an afternoon enjoying happy hour and testing your smarts against some pretty smart people.
