It does cost just a bit less to purchase ahead of time, but you'll need to pick the time that you'll be boarding. And you can go with a full day pass and get on and off, or you can do a one-way, or round trip. You can also just walk straight onto the boat and tap your credit card when you enter and exit. They are all slightly different inside, but they are all enclosed by glass with air conditioning and individual seats. There are other companies that are open air if you want to feel the cold river wind. These also have a cafe, and several restroom stalls. If you don't know what time you'll be boarding, they typically have 10-15 minutes wait times for the next boat. And if you're one to get sea sick, like me, it's actually a pretty motionless ride. There is some movement, but if you know the tricks to counter sea sickness, then you'll be just find and be able to enjoy the ride all the way, as I did.

All lines pass through the hub of Croydon. I use the service to from my Mitcham stop to Wimbledon and Croydon, which is the fastest public transport service for me to these areas. The trams are generally frequent with the odd hiccup and not too busy though I have to point out that I don't use this at peak times. The stations are well lit and well maintained. I use my Oyster card and so can't comment on the ticket machines. If you use Oyster to pay, do remember to touch in at the stations as there are no barriers. There are nice indicator boards at stations telling you the time and destinations of the next few trains. The trains themselves run quietly and smoothly. The are clear signs on board telling you the next stop. More frequent than the trains and more reliable than the buses.

So after waiting for another 45 minutes I finally was able to get ahold of the "customer service" - and it turns out it is one guy on a cell phone who is abroad. Hardly a VIP company with customer service. He then said if I waited then he could TRY to find another car, one to actually fit us, but we were responsible for the additional cost. Avoid this company if you want a real VIP experience. They are still refusing to refund money and it has created a huge hassle as well as disappointment.

David is very knowledgeable and shares a lot of information while driving to each destination. We learned about not only the sites we were set to see but also about the buildings, statues and areas that we passed along the way. We started our day at Hampton Court. David provided us with tips on how to make the most of our time there. We were able to explore on our own and then he picked us up for our lunch break. David had reservations already made for us at a cute restaurant on the river. We ate inside the restaurant and David stayed outside and was ready to go when we were done. The food and service there was excellent. We then continued to Windsor Castle. We were able to take all the time we wanted touring the castle and then shopped around the town afterwards. When we were ready, I simply sent David a text and he was there and ready to go in 5 minutes. We had a pleasant drive back to our hotel with great conversation. Ask him anything about the area and he will be able to answer with confidence. David is also knowledgeable regarding accessibility at the sites. My mom needed to use a cane that day and David was very patient and assisted her with getting in and out of the van. Additionally, we asked David about local markets to visit the next day and he provided us with information on several different ones. We went with the market he recommended and my mom had a blast walking around and shopping.
