I took out my Seiko Sports 150 Dive Watch today to go to the pool and I saw that the Monday on the…read moredate was rusted. Every time I see it, it makes my heart sink and it reminds me of this dreadful store. I came to them in 2009 to get my watch battery changed. The crystal had a pretty deep gouge in it and the band was worn. I asked them for a new crystal, a new band, a new battery and a pressure test. They said it would be ready in a few days. The next week, no reply. I called them and they said that they didn't have the crystal and they would have to order it. They said 2 weeks. A month later, I called them and they didn't answer their phone. I left a message. They didn't call back. I was called up for military duty in Iraq. I asked my sister to call them from time to time to check on my watch and eventually, 9 MONTHS LATER, it was ready for pickup. My sister boxed the watch up and shipped it to me in Iraq. It had a new band, but the crystal was not new. It was old, clearly used, and looked like it had 80 little scratches and few big scratches on it. I mean it looked beat up. I called them a few times using the military phone center and they rarely answered and when I did reach someone, I was told this or that. On my leave, I flew off to China and went swimming off the Hainan coast. I looked to check the time and saw sea water floating around in front of the face. I was furious. I dried the watch as best as I could and after my tour was over, I came to their shop. I met the owner and he was "shocked" to learn that my watch leaked. He said that this is very rare. But when he opened my watch up, he found that it didn't even have a gasket on the back hatch. He apologized and said that he would order a new movement and would fix my watch up as good as new. Weeks drug into months and after 6 months my watch was still not ready. I was called to active duty again and while in Iraq on my second tour, I wrote him a letter explaining when I would be home and that I expected that my watch would be ready. I came home, collected my watch and right there in front of him, I tried to set the time. The minute and hour hands would not freely rotate through 12 hours and the day & date would not rotate through 1-31 an Mon-Sun. It was obvious that he opened the watch, cleaned it a little and put it back together. It was not a new movement because it had rust in it. He said that the "new movement" must be defective. Straight liar. I told him that I wanted my watch fixed back to the way it was when I bought it. I left the watch with him. He called after some weeks and I came to pick it up. He obviously put in a new movement as the watch would rotate and kept (and keeps) good time. However, every Sunday night, the day/date hangs up and I have to pull the crown, jiggle it, rotate through the week and get it unstuck. So while he changed the movement, he used the old day/date wheels and other rusted parts. I complained that he ruined my watch and said that I wanted satisfaction. He asked what I wanted and I said nothing less of a refund equal to what this watch retails for today. He cut me a check for $250 or something close to it. 2 1/2 years later, I got my watch back, 1/2 rusted and never worked properly since. Bottom line up front: this guy performs terrible watch service, has little to no integrity, doesn't return calls, his phone frequently goes unanswered (it is disconnected at the time of this writing) - really, I don't know how he stays in business unless the shop is a front for something else. Do yourself a favor, take your watch somewhere else.

I love spring wound, antique clocks and pocket watches. A growing concern of mine, over the years,…read morehas been being able to find someone who still has the skills and craftsmanship to properly repair and maintain these time pieces. I consider myself lucky to have found Lenny and his staff at "Perfect Timing". They have taken excellent care of two of my pocket watches, a thin, Swiss-made, "Bergland" and my 1908 Hamiliton railroad watch. Thank you!

Edited to respond to the owners condescension: Based off…read morethis reply I think the style of customer service speaks for itself. Saying I was happy with the option to use a clasp as opposed to a weld shows the lack of awareness. I was not thrilled but had promised my 8 year old and drove 30 min for the appointment so felt stuck. Very quickly after I initially contacted you with concerns, my daughter's bracelet fell off and was unfortunately lost. You offered to re-weld mine but about a week later prior to being able to even consider making arrangements to come back for a re-weld mine also fell off and I've been unable to locate it. The reason for this review now is because Yelp suggested your establishment, and yes I would still be bothered when I spent $100 on now missing jewelry shortly after purchase. I've since had a new one placed on myself without ANY issues. It's welded very strongly. And I got my daughter a bracelet with a clasp that is age appropriate and it's remained on through school, sports and normal 8 year old activities without issue. Sorry to upset you with factual details of your products and services. Your clasp was obviously subpar as was your welding skills. Why would I come back to have you weld it again when your welding abilities didn't last even a month? I suggest kindly touching grass. Original review: Got a "permanent" bracelet that fell off within the month. Should have just ordered a bracelet elsewhere. They clearly don't know how to weld correctly. Their customer service needs work as well.

I have a nice experience here working with the shop owner on creating a custom ring. I had wedding…read morerings and leftover rings from my grandparents and parents that really were not useful to me. I wanted the gold for something that would carry their memory and also be something that I would enjoy. I took all those rings and she used my gold to cast a new ring for me. The result is a very nice looking gold ring that is made up of my families gold and has my grandmothers wedding diamond in it. And I wear it regularly and really enjoy it and enjoy the memory of where it came from.
