The teachers at Alcott are absolutely wonderful, and created an excellent introduction to school and learning. The program is Montessori and ages are mixed in 3-5s, which we loved, because the older children lead the younger children. My daughter learned more than her letters and numbers, she learned to be confident in her self, and kindness. Alcott prepared her for kindergarten, but also fostered curiosity and a love of learning. We plan on sending her younger sister when she is old enough.

Different tiers of annul membership available to purchase at main office that comes with some wonderful perks, such as free access to trails and special events. The main office also has some of the exhibition items like insect box and turtle box. Outside the office there's also bird and butterfly cages. We went to the center for our daughter to participate in butterfly feeding event. Upon arrival we found out we had to buy the tickets for one of the two scheduled events. Luckily there were slots available to the second event on the day. The ticket was reasonably cheap, only $8. It also came with an additional bird's exhibition that took place right in front of office deck. All the stuff members were very friendly, informative and interactive. We spent wonderful couple of hours here on beautiful warm summer day.

The staff (from counselors to instructors) is also fantastic and a group of very experienced professionals. The directors are always developing new programs and bringing in the latest activities for campers of all ages. One of the newest additions to the camp is the climbing wall and zip line. My kids could not get enough of them. My kids are also huge fans of animals and the fact that Deerkill has a pony, and a couple of friendly alpacas is a great plus. Overall, I would recommend Deerkill to anyone that would like to provide their kids with the opportunity to have summers they will never forget making life long friends along the way. My eldest is 5 and my youngest is 19 months and My Gym has classes where they can play together which is great ! They also do events for Halloween etc. The only complaint I have is the membership and drop in options are truly confusing. I've never gotten a clear answer lol although it all seems to be working. So like I'm happy my kids are happy but I'm low-key not sure what I'm even paying for at this point. And it's not exactly cheap. I will say that every staff member I've ever spoken to or interacted with has been so kind and helpful to me and my family and I love that.
