excellent one stop shop for your camping, work and recreational needs! i brought in my works expectations for our work boots and the gentleman took every detail in to consideration when making his suggestions and was able to help me understand what most of the little safety things were, not even the guy at red wing could do that. for me and not to mention the boots I bought here are very comfortable and a third of the price. i just wish they had a bit larger of ammo selection but who right now has a big one anyways! read more

While I am now living out in the "Liberal" east, I did grow up in Colorado and used to go to Arvada Surplus for camping equipment growing up and make a point to go there every time I head back to buy myself a pair of Carhartts. Yes the isles are packed but that is what I love about the store, you can always find an interesting hat or perhaps a grenade....it is an Army Surplus store after all! Pros: Friendly and knowledgable staff, interesting merchandise, great for Carhartts and Levi's. On the way to the mountains off the highway. Cons: I noticed the military surplus has decreased over the years and it has been replaced my more camping and work cloths, but It seems to be the direction of surplus stores generally. read more

I love shopping at Army Surplus they have everything a person would need for survival or just in the woods for the weekend, and have never had a problem with any merchandise I bought but unfortunately last year I bought a "wind n go" flashlight with a I followed the direction winding for 3 minutes before storing and now when it came time to use my flashlight it didn't work. My problem is that I paid cash last year on November 22nd and after a year I don't have the receipt. I would like to return this and receive either another one that works because I feel it's a valuable product. read more
