I do not like writing bad reviews, but I would not recommend this "business" to others. While I do believe Jose is skilled and capable of doing irrigation work, he is not really a business and absolutely not thorough. Here is what I gather - Jose has a full time job, and does these projects he gets on his own during his lunch hour or break, and on weekends. We scheduled the date for the quote and he said he'd be able to complete the work that day. I figured once he arrived mid-day, I'd be able to ensure my drip line project would get done that afternoon. Upon arrival, he looked at the place I had a leak, said he could fix it immediately. I asked if he could evaluate the rest of the drip system to identify other issues, leaks and fix any other issues and he said yes, but I could tell he was stressed and seemed in a big hurry. After about 15 minutes, he showed me the fix he made, and said it was all fixed. I asked if he evaluated and tested to make sure there weren't other leaks, and he said yes, he had and then he rushed off after I paid him via Zelle. About an hour later, I turned on the drip line to water the plants, and there was a HUGE leak that was now evident since the first leak was fixed. I sent him a picture and he said he'd come back to fix it, which he did come back and identify where it was coming from, but he wasn't sure when and if he'd be able to fix it, eventually, I just declined having him help me any more. There is no way I'd have him work on my system again, as he clearly did not test it once he made the first repair. Since then, I've had someone else come fix the rest of the system and in addition to the major leak in my photo, there were about 15 other places the old drip line needed repairs and replacement parts. I definitely felt that I paid way too much and regret hiring Jose for this work. Sure, I could have forced him to slow down and show me that there were no more leaks, but I could tell something was off and he needed to get back to his day job as he was in such a hurry. We had an emergency pop up in which one of our aged irrigation zones installed by a previous homeowner had broken unexpectedly and caused the sprinklers to continuously run with no stop valve in sight. I couldn't be more pleased with Jose Arzvizu. He was thoroughly professional and he knew what he was doing. My sprinklers were simply a mess. One of the timing boxes and some of the sprinklers were over 35 years old. Jose installed 4 new valves and a new timer for the backyard sprinklers. He also installed 2 new valves for the side yard. Additionally, his quote included fixing 2 broken sprinkle heads and one broken underground PVC pipe. Unfortunately as he was doing the work he uncovered 3 more broken PVC pipes. He capped one at my request and fixed the other two and a minor incremental cost although it took him some time to fix one of the PVC pipes.
