Excellent timely & reasonable service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I noticed a bad leak from a buried supply pipe late Saturday & called Dicks for service early Sunday expecting to get voice mail. I was surprised my call was answered & thrilled that Gerado said he would be in my area in an hour or so & could take a look.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When he arrived he gave me a quote & said he could repair it now. Everything was in good repair & done at a very reasonable price. A week later late in the evening I noticed another section had begun showing some seeping at the popup heads & figured to check it in the morning. Next morning to my surprise I received a text from the water co that my smart meter had alerted them to a continuous flow. I went right to work & saw I had a valve problem. I thought I could handle the repair on my own following some you tube advice, I replaced the top of the valve body. Long story short I was unsuccessful & couldn't stop the ebb. I called Gerado who determined possibly because my original valve was over 16 years old there could be some minor variance to the molding process or I purchased a defective valve. We agreed to replace the entire valve assembly. Gerado who returned again on Sunday with a new valve installed the valve in short order. Immediately all was back to good working order. update: Please read my story and other 1 star reviews to get a full picture of the business. Note that the brand has recently switch hands as mentioned by Sarah and others. Please read the good reviews with a grain of salt and be prepare that the quality is no longer the same. At the moment, I even doubt whether this business is still legit. My issue was eventually fixed today. It turns out the issue was due to broken valves and pipes and has nothing to do with the backflow device. It all makes much sense to me now, because Gerardo was on the completely wrong direction. I am not an expert on this matter but it takes by Darrick from Sprinkler Pro Repair And Install Irrigation minutes to identify the issue and less than two hours for the repair. This guy is a con man. He never shows up when expected. He will over charge you, not do the work he says he'll do. Example. $1,075 for less than 5 hours of work. Not hard work, drip line repair. I contacted Gerardo to help with my dying lawn. I had just put in new sod 5 months ago but the lawns was already dying! Gerardo was able to squeeze me in. He made some minor adjustments to my sprinklers. The bigger problem was my landscaper didn't install head to head coverage in the back. We set up some time for him to come back out and install 4 more sprinkler heads and an additional valve. I also took his recommendation and got a Rachio. I HIGHLY recommend getting a smart controller as it takes all the guess work out of watering. It'll auto adjust how much to water based on the soil and temperature. 4 weeks later, my lawn is lush and getting compliments from the neighbors! I found him thru yelp for my Father who was in need of a repair person to fix a leaking sprinkler valve. My Dad called and was told that they'd be there at 6pm on Friday to fix it. Texted him the address, Friday at 6pm comes and no show. My Dad calls him and he said that he was really busy and he'll be there Monday at 6pm. My Dad calls Monday morning to confirm and he was told again, I am busy, I'll be there Tuesday between 4-6pm. Well, it's Tuesday, at 7pm, and again a no show. No call, no show, every time. I get that people may be busy but don't tell a customer you are going to show up and don't, and not even bother to call. This dude is a flake. Just know if you go with him, hopefully it's not an emergency because there's a good chance he will not show up. read more

I can't say enough good things about Gerardo! He's professional, communicates, cares about the quality of his work and his clients satisfaction. As he began the process of repairing several stations we discovered my main water shutoff valve was no longer functioning. Worse, the fittings were so old there was no direct replacement for them. He has no name on his website or anyplace. We do not know what his real name is. He does not have an address. He has a p.o.box. I am not sure but I believe you must have an address and P.O box is not allowed. I will be reporting him to the state as he need to be stopped. He can not give people license that can not be validated. His truck does not have his license info which by law must. He comes in today to the job and spend 15min talking about himself and tells me he is a life coach, he teaches in university, he goes on about the books he has read. He tells me his van has purple color because he read a book and he goes on and on. Here I am trying to get him to focus on Irrigation. I am sure in 15 extra minute, he would have said he went to Stanford. Finally he gets to the irrigation and he is clueless, he says he does not know how the control system work. Not really happy. He came in and recommended we replace the old values. That was fairly pricey. He also installed a new controller and did a few other fixes. We asked for an estimate for additional work but it came in very high IMO and we passed. The new controller is nice. But he went away and I don't think even tested the system before he went. We contacted him about some issues we found subsequently and got no response. One of the pipe joints he put in to install the values is already leaking. One of the zones is unusable because it causes shaking in the pipes. read more
