I live near the salon in downtown Bellevue. I have been in here a few times. The women that work here are incredibly professional, the salon is beautiful, and it truly is full service! These girls do everything! And by everything, I mean, they do everything amazingly! The stylist in the salon are so talented. I went in there for brow threading. The stylist up sold me on a brow tent, and it was one of the best decisions I've made in a while for my face. What a super salon and great service provided! I purchased a Groupon for a facial here and, seeing as how this salon got great Yelp reviews, my hopes were high. And it did not disappoint! I was expecting the salon to be hard to find, but it was clearly marked from NE 12th Street, located in the Park Metro apartments, with signage on the building and a sandwich board on the street. Parking is free in the garage there and the signs clearly point the way. Once inside, I ventured to the salon, off the lobby. What a cute and clean place! Lots of light, lots of shampoo and styling stations, hardwood floors, open and airy. I met Nikki, who would be giving me my facial. What a lovely lady! Very experienced and skilled, too, with many years' experience as an aesthetician. The facial room was small and sparse, but they played relaxing spa music and the bed was comfortable, and the warm steam and facial massages nearly put me to sleep! I have to say, after the facial, my skin felt and looked incredible. And Nikki extracted a lot of blackheads without hurting me! That's a first, as usually that procedure hurts (a bit or a lot!). I have been threading my brows for 12+ years and I have been to a lot of different types of salons. She was plucking my hair more than threading and that particularly hurt a lot. I saw a great deal for a Balayage/Ombre on Living Social and I was in need to get my roots done so I thought why not try Aryana as the reviews looked good. They got me scheduled in quickly too! Getting there was a little bit of a challenge as my GPS kept telling me it was located in the medical buildings nearby. However, getting there was the least of my worries. The stylist I had was named Farideh and she was very nice. I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted: a dark grey steel to silver ombre. My hair was already silver, so just my roots needed to be done. She gave me the book of swatches to pick out which color I wanted. This concerned me as I showed her a picture of the color I wanted and she kept suggesting a dark brown. I insisted I wanted grey so we picked out a color that was closest resembling what I wanted, though the book really didn't seem to have the exact color. My hair is naturally strawberry blonde and I had maybe a half inch of growout. Instead of bleaching my roots, the color was just slapped on top and feathered into my silver. She also did a few highlights. Farideh asked if I wanted my hair cut, which I really didn't want to do, but I know I needed it so I told her just a really small amount. Little did I know that the haircut was not included in the voucher I had, but she was nice and waved the fee. The chair I was sitting in also had the poorest lighting of all in the studio. I was probably better off going into the bathroom and inspecting my dye job instead of waiting until I got home. None of my roots took any of the color and the part of my silver that did take turned blue! To boot, it wasnt even an even blue throughout, it was super splotchy! The 'trim' she gave me was the worst I've ever had. The middle was about an inch or two shorter than the sides, I had a ^ cut in the back of my head. I called and left a message and she called back. She tried telling me that I picked out the blue color. Blue wasn't even an option on the page of colors I picked! She offered to have me come back in and she would fix it because she wants her clients to be happy. But between the awful haircut and the splotchy blue spot throughout my head I don't want her touching my hair again. The salon was nice and clean and the pictures of their updos look nice. If you're looking for unnatural/funky colors, I would not recommend this salon at all. read more

I was so excited to try something new, my friend gifted me with a groupon for a haircut and up-do (a $135 value), because she loves Farideh and has been going there for a while. Well, I went online and booked an appointment for a haircut and up-do, the total time allocated by the web system was 2 hours. I went in and she wanted to go right to the up-do and I had to remind her that the groupon included a hair cut as well. She wasn't too happy it seems and instead of washing/cutting my hair (that is what I'm used to), I got an express 10min dry hair cut. Not at all what I was expecting, I'm not at great clips? I let her cut it dry, since I really needed a cut and I had no other choice. She pointed out that it is easier anyway to do a up-do with dirty hair, yes I assume so, but why is she selling the groupon combination of hair cut/up-do if that is not practical? She was generally very short and didn't seem to be in a good mood, something I shouldn't be feeling as a customer? Once the hair was cut, she went right to the up-do asking me if I brought a picture. It didn't say so on the groupon, so no, I didn't bring anything. I wish there would have been a book or a magazine where you can have a look and pick one out. The last formal up-do I had was for my wedding years ago, my old hair dresser I used for the wedding had a huge book of options and she sat by my side to look what could work well for my face and hair. Farideh tried some braid I saw on yelp, but that didn't work with my face at all. She then went ahead and did something else. The up-do turned out nice and I looked great, thank goodness. I was just disappointed that you don't get the full treatment if you bring in a groupon? I only spent 45min in the salon for a haircut and up-do when 2 hours were allocated by the system. I know from my usual hair dresser, that it really takes 45-60min to just wash, cut and dry my hair. There was also a person waiting behind me and since the lady next to me had someone doing color, I assumed whoever was waiting behind me was supposed to go to Farideh. I wasn't even 15min into my appointment, when the person came in, sat for a while and I heard her saying she will come back later? Sorry, but if I go to a hair dresser, I want to feel pampered and great when I walk out. I want to have a light and friendly conversation, no rush and just leaning back and enjoy. I always do with my regular hair dresser I use in Bellevue. Yes the up-do was pretty, but not worth $135 and enough to come back and deal with the rushing through, the moodiness and not feeling like my business is appreciated - groupon or not. read more

The salon is really cute and clean, which is a big plus. The decor is very modern and had a relaxing feel to it. Farida was super sweet and gentle with me. I found out that they offer a whole bunch of other services and not only blowouts while I was in there, so I will definitely be coming back. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for being in the Bellevue area. It is a small, but up and coming salon. She has only been at this location for about 6 months, so not many people know about her yet. But I have no doubt that business will be taking off in no time. So I decided to take advantage of the Mother's Day special at Aryana Salon, that was listed on Bellevue-dot-com's website. Although it may be a challenge to find the salon, the incentive is lots of parking! The salon itself is located on the first floor, aka the lobby. You can't miss it. I came in and met Sepi, the esthetician to get my facial started. She's really nice and personable and she totally understood what my skin needs was and what was wrong with my face (eeeeek!). The facial was awesome, super relaxing and I got a face massage, holy cow, by far my favorite part was the face massage! Next, I had my hands put in paraffin wax; this is awesome for us women (or men) who have constant dry hands. The wax is a candle-like constancy that dries super fast. As that went down, Farida deep conditioned my hair, then I was put under the dryer to get my deep conditioning on - my hair has still been soft and subtle four days later! The blow-drying and styling part was fun. I'm not fussy so I asked Farida to do what she thought would suit me. So she blow-dried my hair and then gave me cute curls at the end. Honestly without her guidance I wouldn't know what to do, because well, I don't ever do anything to my hair that is special. I was so set to go out on Saturday night, so set! If I had to describe this salon I would say that Farida and Sepi are super nice; their work is phenomenal. Getting an appointment may be the best thing because they do book up, but super worth your time while the special is available. read more

I have thick and very curly hair and was told that she had to straighten my hair to give it the right cut, it didn't make sense. And I had to pay extra $$ to straighten it. My hair looked great after the straightening, but after the wash, now I have a completely terrible haircut as it does not suit the curls, and I can neither tie my hair into a neat pony nor can I leave it open. I would give it negative stars if possible, due to my other unpleasant interactions here, but have to give at least one.
