You also are asking me to wait until Tuesday for the review when my concerns were brought on Friday. Worst. Haircut. Ever. If you would like to waste 2 hours on a haircut that should have been completed in 45 minutes, all while listening to far too personal baby daddy stories shared by your nice, but unskilled, stylist, then this is the salon for you! What was that? Should I have said something? Well, I did. That's when the less than 100% fabulous customer service kicked in. I sent photos and messages documenting the haircut. I asked for a refund. After all, that was $90 for the haircut that looks like the craft scissor haircut my friend's daughter gave herself when she was 5. They want to "fix" it. There's barely any hair left to "fix" and also, no. You have lost my trust. Just refund the money. Here's my story: I chose one of my reference images (the one with green highlights) directly from their website based on cut and type of color, highlights with a fashion color. What could possibly go wrong? There is a person there who literally can cut the cut I want the picture proved it, right? The scheduler said she knew exactly who to book me with, but let's do a color consultation first for $60. I countered with, let's schedule the cut and the stylist, and I can discuss color then. At my appointment, I showed the stylist a carefully curated set of images, cut images, and the cut I wanted in pics of me when I had that cut. This is important because, I should back up and say I was asking for a pixie cut. I explained that I wanted my already short hair to be styled into a long banged, messy pixie with wispy tendrils by my ears. This would require trimming bangs, texturizing the longer "bob" sides and back. An hour in, I knew far too much about her personal life, and half my hair was clippered and way too short. Then she said, " Hey, maybe we should leave the other side as it is (when I came in)". Um, what? I asked to see the back. It had been clippered and the long hair on top laid on it like a rug. Zero texture. Um... the back of my head looks like a triangle? Can you please fix it? She did, kinda. Now, it's at mile marker two hours, and I am late. She was still not done. I told her I had to go and that I would have to settle for what I have. I left, put my hat on, and cried. But that was after I was also charged a service fee to tip. Next comes the customer service: After work, I took my hat off to discover that you could see my scalp in places. I have virtually no bangs, and it is waaaaay worse than I thought. I immediately emailed with pics. Their response, thanks for the feedback. I called and asked someone from their leadership to call me back. Nope, no call. Fast forward to the next day and several emails later, and the owner said you can either come in (next week) or "this matter is closed". Charming. I've had pixie cuts for 20 years. This was not a texture things or even a miscommunication. It was a failure of the scheduler, the stylist, and ultimately the owner. That stylist needs to be trained better and should have never been given me as a client. And the owner, well, just rude. When did customer service become so rare? Guess they must be doing well if they don't need new customers. There's more, but I am tired of typing. I don't usually leave reviews. Update: to be clear I did not decline the review. It really feels cozy, and inviting, so points for that! This isn't the type of place you go for edgy/mainstream styles, but for nice polished looks all while relaxing with your cup of coffee. I always hate talking to hairdressers, but the owner was a pleasure to talk to, and she did a great job on the hair. One thing I like is that when she finished, I asked for some additional trimming (I've found this to be a risk). She immediately agreed to make the changes, and didn't rush through them. She took her time, and got it right instead of having her ego bruised. This place turned my crappy day into a much better day with much cuter hair :)

I feel obligated to warn others before they trust Alexis with their hair…read more I went in expecting a professional blonde service and haircut, and instead left with uneven, bluntly chopped hair and a blonde color that turned GREEN after washing. The cut was so poorly executed that multiple stylists I know were shocked by the results and genuinely questioned whether Alexis had proper training for cutting hair. To make matters worse, she was completely unprepared when I arrived for my appointment. Throughout the service she repeatedly complained about how "thick" my hair was and even had to push back another client because she couldn't complete my appointment on time. If she lacked the skill, experience, or timing to handle my hair, she should have been honest upfront instead of taking me as a client and ruining my hair. After the appointment, I reached out directly and respectfully with photos showing the obvious issues with both the cut and color. Alexis herself admitted she could see the problems and even stated it "it's clear it needs to be fixed," (see photos of messages)yet still denied me a refund. Instead, she tried to pressure me into coming back despite already losing my trust completely. When I clarified that I had contacted HER first before seeking opinions elsewhere, she continued making excuses and denying accountability. The customer service was honestly just as terrible as the hair itself. The most frustrating part is that great stylists understand hair is deeply tied to a person's confidence and identity. Every stylist I know takes pride in making clients feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident when they leave the chair. I left feeling embarrassed, upset, and stuck with a haircut that will take MONTHS to grow out and correct. Also beware: she styles your hair in a way that temporarily hides the uneven cut, and the blonde color does not last. Save yourself the stress, money, and damage. Do NOT book with Alexis. I should have taken more pictures but honestly I had to stop picking it apart and focus on getting it fixed.

She is easily accessible by text if I need to alter an appointment and has gone above board on a couple of occasions to fit me in when my schedule was challenged. With two major moves, I hadn't found a stylist I was willing to trust, but the Yelp reviews made me willing to take a chance. I'm so glad I did! Adrienne was very patient and helpful. I'm pretty low maintenance and don't spend a lot of time styling my hair. She took that into consideration and made sure my cut works well without a dryer and lots of styling. She also helped me plan future styling - and color. I'm looking forward to going back! It can be a little tricky to find. The outside of the building is labeled as Mosaic Salon Group.

Found Adrienne on Yelp & decided to try her for cut. It's been awhile since I received a cut I…read morelike, I tried a couple stylists after my last favorite gal moved to Vegas...sigh. So glad I scheduled with her! I like precision cuts with minimal daily styling for my long hair. I suggest some face frame layers starting mid cheek level & Adrienne advised she's be happy to do that but starting higher like what I described would require a bit more work than what I would commit to daily. She suggested starting more jaw level for the layers & I'm so happy we did that The salon is located inside Mosaic & is easy to locate. I appreciate the free 2 hour parking as I hate driving around searching for parking spots in busy downtown Kirkland.
