Even though we hired her for just day-of coordination, she went above and beyond her duties, and met with us about five times total prior to the big day. We did a DIY wedding, Shabby Chic themed (thanks Pinterest), and we couldn't have been more happy with the way that Kathy carried out our vision. We received so many rave reviews about our wedding. Kathy made sure that all of the vendors were kept informed about the day-of activities and ensured that they arrived and set-up properly. Kathy and her staff set everything else up, from the chairs, to the tables, to the decorations. She then kept everything on track for the day to make sure we concluded we had plenty of time for dancing at the end. Oh, and they best part? Her prices were, hands down, the best value for the services we found (and we contacted at least half a dozen places). If you're planning a wedding, and you want it to be stress free, we absolutely recommend Kathy.

I am so grateful that Patty was recommended to me, I have no idea what I would have done without her. If you have no experience planning a wedding, then Patty is a great option. She will go above and beyond. She helped me with EVERYTHING. We had so many phone calls about planning, venders, timelines, you name it. We got married at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa, Patty got our marriage insurance (didn't know that was a thing) and every detail was done to my exact wishes; our rooms, a get-ready room, timeline. She helped me find and book my venders; makeup, hair, live music. She knew about the area restrictions and completely managed all my venders. She made the best timelines I have ever seen in my life, had everything to a tee with wiggle room in case things did not go according to plan (which they rarely do). She even helped my officiant (who was our best friend) with his ceremony timeline and speech. Patty took care of everything, even when I had vender drama, she took care of it without me having to deal with it at all. And she even ran to our room when our ring bearer forget our rings! Day of, Patty has her assistant Carol which is more than a bonus. Both Patty and Carol are adored by me and my family. Truly were like my own family, even helped me put my shoes on. There are no perfect words to describe how truly grateful I am for having them at my wedding. Best decision I have ever made. 10/10 would hire them again.

Josh and the Golden Coast Team were fabulous partners in bringing our dream wedding to life in Big Sur. We worked very closely with Josh for 16 months leading up to our 25 person wedding at the Wind and Sea Estate in September of 2023, and he was such an amazing partner in crime who made all of our wishes come true! Aside from being an all around amazing human being who is fun to work with, Josh is very well connected with so many local vendors in the Monterey/Carmel/Big Sur area where we had our wedding, and he has an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience in the wedding industry. He was able to curate a stunning group of vendors who were familiar with our venue and who would be able to bring our vision to life exactly the way we had hoped at that specific location. Josh was with us every step of the way, from selecting a venue over a year in advance, managing contracts and timelines, helping pick up rentals, and even being there on the day of the wedding himself to make sure our day went off without a hitch. He was such a great mentor and sound board throughout the entire process with every little decision we had to make, always guiding us in the right direction. Planning a wedding is a once in a lifetime event, so we definitely needed Josh's guidance! In addition, having the Golden Coast Team provide day of coordination services to run our welcome party and wedding day was the best decision we ever made. We planned to head back to our hotel around 10pm, only to discover a flat tire on our car. We attempted to change it, but the hills/slope of the area made it difficult to keep the car lifted. Staff member Ash (and 2 other gentlemen, not sure if they worked there) literally saved the day. Ash helped us out by providing her jack and assisted with removal of the flat tire with the spare. She then ensured the wheel was safe to drive and informed us of both the nearest gas station for air and mechanic for a repair. I can't thank her enough for turning a terrible moment to an amazing memory.

The drive to get to the venue after passing the gate reminded me of the other wedgewood wedding property I went to earlier in the year - nice houses, golf course, greenery. I can't follow directions and in an attempt to follow the instruction from the email, we went through the wrong entrance (aka side door), so for a few min it felt like we were playing escape room to find the phone that we were supposed to call. However, if you follow the instructions right, you should be able to see the fireplace right when you open the door. It's a nice grand entrance. The interior area is pretty nice, although it does look dated if you look closely. However, I feel like the layout didn't suit the vision of what we want for our wedding day. As for the ceremony area, I personally thought the indoor version looks/feels nicer than the outdoor version. The outdoor one would be easy access from the parking lot though. I loooved the bridal suite/getting ready area. The groom's suite was nice and spacious too, but has locker room vibe with hoops. The person (wedding expert) giving us the tour was very good at selling us the vision, giving detailed info, etc. As opposed to touring the venue first, eagle ridge gave us the run down and "sales/informational pitch" first. The sales pitch is v important for wedding venue shopping, so no negative connotation there. We ended up choosing a different venue: one main reason was the fact that we can't try the food first. We didn't feel comfortable locking in to an all inclusive venue that doesn't allow outside catering. The menu options look good enough, but how does it taste???? It would suck if we end up not liking the food during the tasting and having to settle for a "I guess this is fine because we have no other choice". We were ready to pay to be able to have the chance for trying out the food first. Unfortunately, that was not an option. The other reason was the fact that we don't have much getting ready time. If I remember correctly, you only get to go in the suites 1-2 hrs before start time. The club is only open to the members prior to that. Idk about other brides, but I personally would need a lot more than that if I'm doing makeup and hair there. The timing might be okay if you only plan on changing into your dress there.
