    Patty is absolutely amazing and I loved working with her!…read more I'm getting married in October in Carmel and was looking for a wedding planner to help me find wedding vendors, review contracts, and find a location for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Every Last Detail was the first company I called. I'm normally the type of person who calls around to explore options and find the best price, but Patty was so personable and made what felt like a daunting task seem fun so I booked her right away. I'm so glad I went with my gut because I couldn't imagine working with anyone else! Patty was very helpful and responsive. She also went above and beyond for multiple tasks. We live a few hours away from Carmel and wanted to plan a trip to visit some rehearsal dinner locations. We ended up planning this with only a few days turnaround time. I expected given the time crunch that Patty would give us a list of venues to check out based on our criteria, but she actually planned the whole trip for us! She introduced us to points of contact at each venue, scheduled each tour, and even mapped them out so we visited places that were in close proximity back to back and we didn't have to keep trekking back and forth between locations. It took all the stress off of planning and coordinating. I also know that finding spots that we would like was not an easy task in and of itself. My fiance, future mother in law, and myself all had some different/ vague ideas for the event. Patty did a great job finding locations that fit what each of us was looking for. We were so impressed, my future mother in law even hired her again after the fact to coordinate the day of the rehearsal dinner. I would highly recommend Patty and Every Last Detail for event planning!

Her thoroughness with even the smallest details saved me so much money, which was especially important since I was planning a destination wedding from Florida to Big Sur. She stayed super organized, always made herself available for calls, and eased any worries I had along the way. On the wedding day, the presentation of the tables, linens & flowers were exactly what I envisioned. My jaw literally dropped seeing how beautifully everything came together. I've heard horror stories from other brides about planners who were unresponsive or added stress to the process, but I never experienced that with Anita. My husband and I were pretty clueless when it came to wedding planning, but Kate knew the answers to everything--even the things we didn't know we didn't know! Her expertise gave us confidence every step of the way. Kate is also beyond organized. She handled everything--from RSVPs and seating charts to coordinating vendor cleanup--so that on the day of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about a single thing. She ran the entire show behind the scenes, allowing us to be fully present and soak in every moment of our special day. We had several consultation calls with different planners, but Kaitlin stood out from the get-go as someone who is experienced, professional, and most importantly, has a skill for really listening and understanding what was important to us. Kaitlin took small pieces of what we said was important to us and made our vision come to life. We wanted a wedding that felt like an experience for our guests. We wanted them to feel relaxed, have great food and drinks, and be delighted by small surprises at every turn. Kaitlin had incredible ideas for unique vendors to bring in, from a live guitarist who fit our vibe perfectly to our own coffee truck service. She also knew how to respectfully encourage us to consider color choices or other decor that she knew would make the event feel more timeless and well-rounded. She is simply the best and we could not have had our wedding planning and day-of run so smoothly without her expert guidance. My wife has been friends with Mariah since middle school, and she knew she wanted Mariah to be involved in our wedding planning when we chose to get married in Carmel. Originally we hired Mariah as our month-of coordinator, but it quickly became apparent that we needed her expert help navigating everything about a year out. She soon became our official planner, and it was the best decision we made! She is incredibly organized, highly communicative and has a profound attention to detail. She really does think of everything! Given that she grew up in Big Sur she has tremendous knowledge of the local vendors, venues and just all around logistics of the central coast. Mariah is also a very calming person and worked just as much as a therapist for us as she did our planner. Even though she's juggling so much, you would never know. On our actual wedding day everything ran so seamlessly and she never seemed stressed or frazzled. I only wish I approached the planning process in the same manner. Hire Mariah for all your wedding coordination needs and you will be in the best hands!!

She was an incredibly calming presence from the moment we met her during our ceremony rehearsal, and seamlessly took on multiple responsibilities over the course of our wedding day to make sure that we didn't have to worry about anything but enjoying ourselves. She handled everything from playlist switching to heating up some items for our dessert bar, all while setting up the event, keeping the day's schedule on track, and coordinating all our vendors and guests to follow the set timeline. Our wedding day was genuinely stress-free thanks to her expertise, and we were able to fully enjoy our time with our loved ones. She also has incredible relationships with several vendors in Big Sur - she knew our shuttle driver, caterer, venue groundskeeper, and bartender, and clearly was treated as a trusted partner by all of them. It added an extra element of community to the day which was lovely to experience. And bonus: she gives off such a warm, kind energy. Even though we had only really worked together for a day and a half, she texted us the morning after our wedding to ensure that everything had gone well after she and the other vendors had left for the night. Overall, I highly recommend Mariah for any event planning or coordination needs! If we ever plan another event in the Big Sur area, she'll be our first call.

She'll coordinate with the venue to make sure everyone is in sync. She'll make sure you day goes off without a hitch. She'll create gorgeous floral arrangements for your table centerpieces. She'll decorate the venue in ways that will leave you and your guests impressed. She'll even help you pick the right vendors. Here's the thing... your special wedding day will have tons of hiccups. It's normal and every event has them. The magic, though, is that LJ will make sure you never know. She'll solve everything behind the scenes before it ever makes it to you and THAT is what you want on your wedding day. Phoebe and I can't recommend LJ enough. She's worth every penny. Thank you LJ!

    One of the best decisions we made around my 5/16/15 wedding was finding LJ of Lux & Jasper as our…read morewedding planner/day-of coordinator. Throughout the year plus of planning, she kept us calm, focused and answered every single frantic email and question we had. We're a bit of an uptight group so there were lots : ) LJ was a HUGE help as we sorted out our vision and what we wanted -- and then followed through flawlessly on bringing that vision to life. She has an incredible eye for design and was instrumental in creating a beautiful setting that matched our vision at both the ceremony and the reception. One of my favorite things about LJ is that she always shared her opinion when asked, and when she disagreed or thought another option may be better than the direction we were headed, she'd respectfully share her point of view and get us back on track -- but I always felt like she respected what we wanted and supported it. All the vendors she recommended were AMAZING. She was straightforward with cost and how vendors stacked up against the competition. Even though she had relationships with many people in the industry, I always felt like she had our best interest in mind and represented us incredibly accurately and well. We paid extra for her to serve as point person for several shuttle buses. This was well worth it in that LJ created and delivered the complicated schedule as well as communicated with the drivers on the big day. What a load off! LJ provided a range of suggestions to make sure we understood our options (for example, for the Groom's Cake she suggested everything from an elaborate cake from a local artisanal bakery to Safeway and everything in between!), but when we just wanted her to handle something and not be weighed down by choices, she executed things flawlessly (such as delivering our welcome bags all over the Monterey Peninsula the day before the wedding!). On the day of, we had nothing to worry about -- everything that was within her control turned out flawlessly. She also navigated tricky situations with our on-site venue contact, who was a bit challenging to work with, and did a great job at managing her to make sure we had the day we envisioned. I was constantly impressed by her positive and calming attitude, grounding presence, creative vision and her ability to manage complex and emotionally charged situations. She was patient and understanding when we had last-minute changes and always snapped into action when we needed her to. I would definitely recommend LJ as a wedding planner/day-of coordinator! We couldn't have done it without her!
