I stopped by in the AM for an oil change. I didn't make an appointment beforehand or anything, but they were happy to accommodate. But as it turns out, it was quite early for an oil change and I didn't need it. They reset my car system sensor so the alert disappeared and sent me on my way, no charge. This was my second time visiting, and I think it'll be my go-to for car maintenance from now on. I'll gladly support this business.

Visited today 3/17/2026, after speaking with Matt the day before. I brought in brand new 21 inch Tesla rear wheels and Michelin PS4 tires for installation on my car. I drove over an hour from Chatsworth, California to this location so that they could use the Hunter Revolution machine, specifically to avoid damaging my wheels. Nevertheless, Matt, if it's his real name, severely damaged my new wheel near the wheel center cap area with the machine that was made to avoid this. How incompetent!!! He lied to my face and gave dull, illogical, dummy excuses about what happened. Bottom line: He damaged the wheel and would not acknowledge and take accountability for his actions. I had to call the police to make a record of this issue because I will be suing. The damage was caused because he did not apply the machine's plastic adapter when he clamped onto the face of the wheel; he clamped to the face of the wheel with metal to metal contact and severely damaged the paint. When they took your car and they put the seat cover to wrap around your driver seat to make sure that your seat is well protected. I feel so much appreciated this professional and thoughtful work. Aside from my deep gratitude for free service, these guys also work really hard. The customer-facing representatives were visibly busy with phone calls, mediating between customers and mechanics, tending to other customers who were there to pick up/ drop off/ get a consultation for their cars, all while exhibiting coolness and professionalism. There was a customer there who was being a little irksome, but the guy helping me handled it with such professional calmness, which even made me feel proud of him lol. Great job, guys!

I have chrome rims which require a reverse mount so the rims are not scratched. I arrived and went inside and was helped , in a few minutes I was able to pay for the services and was able to relax in the waiting lobby. All was good It took about 2hrs and I received my car, and drove off. I went home to wash my car and noticed the horrible job they did. They left glue from the previous weights used to align my wheels everywhere (keep in mind I keep my rims nice) I began to notice the words FRONT written on the chrome rims Big in green streak on the inside of the rim , which was clearly visible when my rims shine. It was written on both front rims. That wasn't the worst part , around the area that the old tire alignment weights were removed , they left deep scratches as if they used a flat head screw driver to get of those old tire weights . My rims are ruined , they obviously didn't care about my car. I can't believe the amount of carelessness and poor work that was done to my car. If you have a nice car I wouldn't take it there. Every-time I wipe down or shine my rims , I cringe at the site of the scars left on the chrome , which use to be flawless. Here's a few pictures of the careless work these haters performed. Y tires in Alhambra gets a F minus and 0 stars from me. Never again will I trust them with my car. I hope this review can help others that value quality service , to look else where , this is not the place to go to gain peace of mind. 1 star is to high of a rating.

I needed to replace an EPS coupler to fix a rattling sound in my steering wheel--a repair that most other shops were not able to do and the dealership quoted at an inflated price. From my initial phone call with Raffi, who confirmed their technicians could handle the repair at a reasonable cost, to working with Chris on the day of my appointment, the entire process was professional & pleasant. Additionally, the facility was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. When I picked up my car the following day, I was incredibly impressed that they honored the original quote, even though the job proved more complicated and took longer than expected. I felt my tires were a bit "bald" a few months ago but they told me I easily had several thousand more miles. That honesty was appreciated and I'm sure other places wouldn't have been that honest. One of my family members had a vehicle that had sit in a garage for years and the transmission fluid had never been flushed. There were concerns about needing a new transmission. Thankfully we were able to try flushing out fluids first and potentially keeping the original transmission as opposed to jumping to a transmission change. I feel like other shops would probably push the transmission change and not even offer the fluid flush. Finding a tire place that is responsible is pretty important because they can ruin your rims by carelessly taking off the tire. You truly get what you pay for here. Honest quality work and customer service.

Ive been around looking for an honest shop that can do my BMW's right without any hassles and A's Garage proved that they can do the job right. Alvin has the technical skills that surpasses most of the so called "trained" technicians out there. He knows how to save you money and how to approach a problem and find the best solution that is cost effective and beneficial to your budget. They say an older BMW will just give you headache to maintain, but in reality if you have somebody that can fix your car right like Alvin, that dilemma will not be a problem at all. I have a 2001 E46 sedan that had a very loud grinding noise that sounded like it's coming from the transmission, at first I was expecting that my tranny will go out on me anytime cause the noise was coming directly underneath my gearbox. I can hear this noise every time I hit a certain speed and would become louder as I go faster. I bought my car to A's Garage and Alvin took a close look where this particular noise is coming from. At first, he advised me not to even consider getting my tranny serviced until he's definite that the noise is coming from the tranny. From the cabin, it's clear the noise is directly underneath the center console. But since Alvin is so knowledgeable about BMW's he clearly stated that it could be on another place and the noise just resonates in that area. It took him a while to find what's the cause and then he finally found that it's one of the rear brake caliper springs that was loosely mounted and worn. Instead of me spending thousands to have the tranny inspected, I ended up paying less than $100 for that irritating noise. that's how good Alvin is. You don't get that from other shops. let me start off by saying that if there were 10 stars id give Alvin 11. he is just truly amazing. i failed my smog test on a newer BMW X3; my check engine was on. I went to my old mechanic and he found 3 things that were wrong with it and gave me an absurd estimate of 1500 dollars. I had a feeling something was wrong with the estimate so i found Alvin through yelp. i went to Alvin and he told me the two real things that were wrong with it; proving the fact that my old mechanic was a crook who has been ripping me off for years with parts that did not need to be replaced and charging me extra for labor. Alvin showed me everything and explained everything in detail. he even drove the car after it was fixed for 40 miles to make sure that the engine light did not go back on. i picked my my car this morning and everything was done perfectly and smoothly. he even replaced my light that was out and fixed my tire pressure for free. I am more than impressed and satisfied. I payed 588 dollars, and I am trully gratefull i found him. If you have a BMW i strongly encourage you to call him. I've been looking for a decent local place to take my 7-yr. old BMW for years now and had almost given up... so happy I found A's Garage (due to trusting the reviews here on yelp -- thanks!) Returned from a long road trip with what seemed like every light on my dashboard lit... knew I desperately needed an oil change and some basic maintenance, and was terrified of what else might be wrong (or, more likely, what a dishonest mechanic would claim was wrong). Alvin was awesome -- called when he said he would, and after all was said and done all I needed "extra" was one belt replaced (which I'd actually been told about last year by another mechanic and hadn't fixed at the time due to the outrageous quote he gave me). Anyway, got the oil change, tires rotated, other fluids checked and topped off, etc., plus a new belt -- for what I know was not significantly more than the price of just an oil change elsewhere. Best. Mechanic. Alvin and his staff are courteous, professional, and his prices are extremely reasonable. I was taking my pre-owned 530i wagon to a "specialist" in south pasadena. Every visit cost between 1-2k, and I left with the same issue I came in with. After a over a year of multiple repairs for a stalling battery (stupidly continued going back because of a friend's referral), I tried A's. He was packed and busy, but he took a few moments to perform a diagnostic. He gave me 3 scenarios, thinking that the issue was as simple as replacing the battery. I was apprehensive about his diagnosis because the former mechanic replaced the battery, and said the problem was an electrical issue. I apprehensively got a new battery at Alvin's suggestion and voila! It has been a year since that first visit to Alvin, and my car hasn't stalled once! Brought my 2013 BMW 535 to Monrovia BMW because service warning light saying front brake pads needs to be replaced. Service advisor says brake pads are ok and the problem was a computer glitch, hence the service light. According to service advisor computer glitch is not covered by the warranty. Left the dealership unhappy because service warning light is constantly on. After a few days, I went to A's garage to have it looked at and give me advice. Not only was Alvin able to fix the computer glitch, he discovered that a wire on the front driver side brake is damaged and needs replacing, certainly BMW Monrovia didn't even bother checking. Not only was his price the most competitive for brake servicing for an independent mechanic in Los Angeles, but he was very knowledgeable and gave suggestions on most important repairs. It can not get better than this. Alvin is a wonderful guy and very knowledgeable. But most importantly he is extremely honest and no BS. I took my BMW 328i to him with a problem which a number of other shops (including three other 5 star rated shops here) asked me for $200-300 for part replacement. Alvin looked at it and said it does not need replacement and fixed it and did not charge me at all ! Now I am a regular customer for him and love his service. My 2002 X5 stalled and all these lights came on. I had it towed to A's Garage because of the Yelp reviews. Pablo took care of my car. He describes what needs to be done in order of importance. I recently had the pleasure of taking my BMW to Bertone Motorsport and I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received. These guys are extremely knowledgeable and more importantly, honest and transparent! Nuron took the time to explain the issues with my vehicle in a way that was easy to understand, and never push for unnecessary repairs or upsell services like some shops do. In fact, he did the exact opposite- after diagnosing my car and doing some research, he found that the failing parts should be covered under BMW warranty. He even went above and beyond of taking my car to the dealership service center, explaining the issue to them, and ensuring it would get covered under warranty. All thanks to his effort and honesty, I ended up getting my entire turbocharger replaced along with the adjacent components under warranty--something I never would have gotten if I had gone directly to the dealership. Additionally, there was a separate issue with my engine mounts that they did for a fraction of what the dealer quoted me for. Now my car drives like new! It's hard to find a mechanic who not only knows their stuff but also operates with true integrity. I couldn't be happier with the service I received-- they saved me a fortune and restored my car to drive like new.
