I was looking for a new shop to visit as I kept having issues after the shops I had visited in the area and a couple of friends told me this one was the best they had visited so they recommended I give it a shot. I came here a few months ago and it's easily the best service, price and quality work I've had done. I live far but it's the only place I go. They cleaned the whole engine bay and left it without a speck of dust or oil on it (you could literally have dinner on it) painted and installed a new hood with perfect fitment and completely repaired and buffed my headlights. This place has been a life saver. My Infinity 35 is in tip top shape. Johnny and Juan keeps it running smooth and fast. I had such a great experience at Phoenix Auto Care! I originally took my car in because I had a nail stuck in one of my tires. When I brought it in, they immediately noticed it had been making a noise and thank goodness they checked everything thoroughly. Turns out my car also needed oil and the coolant tank needed antifreeze. I truly appreciate how attentive they were and how they caught things before they became bigger problems. They took care of all my maintenance and really went above and beyond. What stood out the most was how transparent they were. They showed me pictures of what needed immediate attention and explained what could wait. I found Phoenix Auto Care through Yelp. I've been looking to replace my 2014 Jeep Wranglers upper/lower ball joints and it's lasted to from factory to 163,000miles. So my alignment has been bad because of that issue. Couple weeks ago I called and Juan from Phoenix answered and I told him about my car issues and we went for a test drive and came to the shop and he further more looked into the problem by getting under car and did some tests and he confirmed that I had one really bad ball joint but the other was still ok and can get away for it for awhile and he was being honest about. But I told him no I want both to be changed at the same time and he agrees but he never pressured me to do it but just giving me facts. I felt so comfortable dealing with Juan and his professionalism I was in awwe about his kind demeanor. While we were in the office talking about price there's a gentleman name Johnny I believe he's one of the owner but not sure. Johnny was so understanding about my car and so personable and easy to talk to. He laid out the plan what they were going to do and ordered parts ahead so they can set up ahead time for my Saturday appointment. Johnny really gave me a great deal and if you didn't know about ball joint service it IS a lot of work and labor intensive for this project. Also when o dropped off my car on Friday Juan said it was a big job and if he couldn't complete by there work schedule he might have to give me a loaner to driver and I never heard of this from any car repair shop and I'm thinking inside my head wow that is great service they are providing. But nonetheless Juan got the job done just in time for me to go see my daughter in OC. Oh yes they completed my ball joint and also did a 4 wheel alignment which handles nicely. FYI Juan dropped me off at home from Friday and when they finished my car they also dropped my car off at my house. If this isn't customer service then I don't know what is. I recommend anyone to service their cars there because they are honest and won't rip you off. Remember if you want honest and great service this is the place. One more thing Juan said was that he is going to greased the cross members and other things that my mechanic didn't do. That's a plus knowing that he cares!! Asked this shop to help a car pass smog. In addition to putting marvel mystery oil in my engine (and charging outrageous prices for the crap, more than auto zone charges) they did a bunch of other stuff that I didn't ask for and tried to charge me $1400. I looked at invoice and among the charges was $120 for putting on the plastic mount for the front plate. I didn't need that replaced, I took it off myself. They also charged $150 to service the cabin air filter. Also I had changed this already myself and only asked specifically to help the car pass smog. They tried to explain that the cabin air filter is really hard to get to through the glove box and that is why it costs a lot for labor. This car, the cabin air filter comes out of a slot behind the hood under the windshield on the OUTSIDE of the car. I asked them to look at the AC. It was losing refrigerant. They said they'd start by changing the blend motor which is broken, it gets stuck changing the temp, but wouldn't fix the AC leak. They only said they would start by changing that blend motor and see if it fixed the AC, and then try something else, and the charge was gonna be $900. Insane. It is a plastic part known to fail and not hard to trade out, under the steering column. These guys ripped me off and tried to keep doing it. Maybe it is cause I'm Caucasian and they think I can be easily fooled, or have money falling out my pockets, but they are scammers. read more

I was in a car accident and my rear bumper was damaged. I called Johnny and asked if he could check and repair it. I bring my car to Phoenix and he explained to me what was going on. I have my insurance covers for the damage and Johnny and Juan, his team really work fast with the insurance company so the process goes smoothly. The meaning of "Phoenix," in classic, Egyptian mythology, means a desert bird that burned itself on the pyre and then rose again from the ashes to renewed youth, to live through another cycle. The name of this auto shop is so true to its name! We brought my friend's battered, 15 year old Toyota Corolla to Phoenix Auto Care in September 2021. Over the years, the poor old car was was hit in several car accidents, the last one sadly, in our driveway. A small fender bender on top of a history of parking lot and street crashes and scrapes from a litany of family drivers over the years. There seemed little hope that the little Corolla could be saved yet for more years of use. But Johnny at Phoenix saw through the battered, sad state of the Toyota and said it would be made new again. And after he and his staff finished with the Toyota, it was like a new car...like a Phoenix rising from the ashes! New panels, new bumper, paint job, steam cleaned engine, shampooed interior, some important but relatively minor mechanical repairs and updates and no one can believe it is the same car. It even smelled new. Johnny said this Corolla was from a particularly reliable set of years from the Toyota manufacturing so it was worth putting several thousand into the car. It will go another 100,000. So much better for my friend to have this rejuvenated car instead of a new car payment! I'm taking my future fender repairs back to Johnny at Phoenix Auto Repair. Phoenix lives up to their name, my car was (seemingly) in ashes and it rose again like the fiery bird that it is in all it's glory. But if you have time to read, grab a drink and some snacks...here's why Johnny and his team over at Phoenix gets 100%, 5/5 stars, 11 out of 10 rating, and my undying support forever: Most car repair shops, mechanics, services, and anything to do with your car maintenance/repairs can't and shouldn't be trusted. They're ran by incompetent staff and greedy owners that can't tell the difference between your car needing coolant or a new engine. Phoenix isn't most of them and Johnny isn't your typical mechanic and business owner. While he's still a great business owner, you can EASILY tell his passion for cars supersedes the need to overcharge customers. He's also supported by a team of car lovers that know how fix cars just as much as they love driving them. Trust me when I say he cares more about his customers than anybody you'll meet. He'll put you above profits and you can tell he'd rather have you come back to him in the future rather than charge your something stupid once and never come back. STORY TIME: I took my car to a dealership for a repair because it was under warranty. When I got to the dealership, they told me that the repairs weren't under warranty and that I would have to pay out of pocket. [Instant gut punch] - I hesitantly moved forward with the repairs because I felt like I had no choice. They ended up "helping" me by giving me a discount on a repair that should've been free to start with but that amount didn't feel right... and, well, expensive. The dealership had my car for TWO WEEKS (that's FOURTEEN days) just for them to tell me that they can't start the repairs until I put in a deposit. Spider-sense tingled and something told me that they'd probably charge me the "discounted" amount until they "discover" something else that needs to be repaired and end up charging me double what they originally estimated for. I pulled the car from the dealership and I took it straight to Johnny's shop on a Wednesday afternoon where I was met by his team. They reassured me they'll do their best but at this point I felt so defeated and tired that I was just thankful but not hopeful. (Remember, the dealership had my car for 14 entire days). Johnny tells me, "I'll need about 6 days with your car to properly diagnose it." I thought to myself, what's another 6 days after 2 entire weeks? I dropped it off, went to work, and prepared for the worst. Plot twist, Johnny calls me Thursday, around 10AM (that's less than 24 hours for those who are keeping count), and this is how the conversation went: Johnny: "I have great news for you, you're not going to need a new engine. Dealership misdiagnosed your car and damaged it more instead of repairing it.--Pick your car up tonight, it'll be ready" Me: "What?" J: "BTW, I estimated $$$$-- we didn't need to do all that, so it's just $$" M: "WHAT?" J: "Yeah, your engine was fine, it actually cost more than needed because the dealership broke more things than when you originally brought it in. They misdiagnosed your car and probably wanted to make more money off you." M: "I LOVE YOU" J: "Huh?" M: "I mean, Thank you!" I went to pick up my car and I couldn't believe how clean it looked (Johnny got it detailed for free! Who does that?!), it looked immaculate, and as pretty as the first day I saw her. I was driving my car home Thursday night (just a little over 24 hours since I dropped my car off). And believe me when I say, after 2 weeks of dreading, paranoia, fear, and uncertainty- the drive home was the most exhilarating feeling I've had in recent memory. Needless to say, Johnny saved me a TON of money, took care of my car, and even told me to reach out to him if I had any car questions in the future. ALL- and i mean ALL, of my future car moves are going to go through Johnny and his team. I can't say enough good things about them but I hope this helps.
