We were in business with them for about 7 months. Our pup was getting weekly grooming services. When we first acquired his services, he stated full grooming services included bath, haircut, trimming of nails, cleaning ears, and drying for a total of $180. At first, he was doing a splendid job, but that quickly changed. The last couple of months with him, he would only be here for about 15-20min, and sometimes would show up 1-2 hrs late without notice. When I finally confronted him about his visits becoming shorter and shorter, he stated that he was only giving her a bath as she cannot get a haircut every time. I understand this, but what about her nails, ears.. and he failed to let us know that. He stated that he has a flat rate of $180 and that includes whether he is just giving her a bath or giving her a full grooming service. He stated that he had other clients that are willing to pay him double and has a waiting list, so we do not have to worry about him if we decide to let him go. WOW! This immediately proved to me that he couldn't care less about our dog's well being and only cares about the money. Seems to me like he's over booking and then trying to make a quick buck by getting to as many clients as he can. Glad we parted ways and would definitely think twice about hiring him as your dog's groomer. OH! Also, the person that recommended him to us, was ghosted by him AND a person I recommended to him early on, was also ghosted by him. How professional! DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

He took off just the right amount of fur and cleaned up around her eyes beautifully as well as doing the usual grooming. Pretty happy with these guys. Came to my house. Asked me about what I wanted. My pup seemed to do well with them (I checked in on him about halfway). Although he was cut shorter than I had discussed, it was understandable as he was uneven and also had a few mats. They thankfully found and removed a couple ticks and then applied a tick wash(?). His nails had evidently gotten a bit long so his nail trimming wasnt much since they were afraid to cause bleeding. Pup was super silky when done and stayed smelling good for days. Don't let the outdated service truck mislead you, it works as intended and they provide excellent service at your doorstep, with very competitive pricing. The advantage they have over other groomers and things we like the most: our pets didn't have to suffer locked up in a cage while waiting for service with a bunch of other dogs and noisy, stressful environment. Let me start off by saying that I hate to drag small businesses down, but I was unhappy with the service for the most part and wanted to share my grievances. They came to my house 2 days after I reached out to them. They were prompt and on time like discussed, which was a major pro for me. +1 They asked me what kind of cut I wanted for my dog, and I gave them the details. When he took my dog inside the grooming van I wanted to peak in to see where my dog was being taken to, but the groomer was very reluctant to let me see. Why? As a first time customer I NEED to know where my dog is being taken to. -1 An hour later, as discussed, he was done and I picked him up. I asked the groomer if he took card, and he said that cards are an additional $5 charge... that's odd to add your credit card fee to your customer's tab. You're a business. Own it. -1 When I handed him the cash ($80) for a $75 bill the groomer did not ask me whether I wanted any change. It is a huge pet peeve of mine when people assume that what you're handing them includes the full tip. I always appreciate it when people ask, not assume. -1 The grooming results: my dog's hair is all over the place, so I can very much understand that he's difficult to groom. But my dog was VERY unevenly cut in many places. One leg had way more hair than the other, below his ears his hair was buzzed down, whereas next to his ear the hair was long. My boyfriend laughed when he saw my dog, he looked very uneven and ridiculous. -1 I usually go to petco and get him groomed for $50 and they do a tremendous job. This time around they didn't have an available slot for a week so I gave this business a try. I'm rather disappointed and will personally not be coming back but I urge others reading this to give them a try for the convenience and other great reviews. read more

Miguel has groomed our little 10 lb timid, rescue poodle mix a couple times and we've been very happy with the convenience and service! They are very quick and the price is comparable. I've used this service a handful of times, over the years, for my Siberian huskies. It was always decent, very basic, grooming. Over the weekend I had my Siberian husky groomed and they did not even bother to brush him out after washing and blow drying him. My family used A's for our other dog who recently passed for years, so I knew they were reliable and great, especially now that I work from home now so I don't have to worry about rushing across town to the dog groomers. I contacted A's for a grooming for my new 23lb mini poodle mix, and receieved a text back the same day asking for more info on him and a photo. They asked for any behaviorial issues on him, and I mentioned he is skiddish around me, (skiddish, not aggressive as he was abused by men prior to me rescuing him which I explained in the text!), and A's never contacted me back. I had to follow up with them days later, and they said all of their groomers are males, I asked if we could try it out and never got a text back, I called them numerous times and received no call back either. I understand that protecting your employees should one of your top priorities, but again, my dog is not aggressive or mean, he's the sweetest guy ever. He's just frightened by males, and really warms up once a treat is given to him so he knows you're not going to hurt him. Just really sad because my other dog loved A's, and I was hoping they'd be more than willing to work with him, and being they work with so many dogs on a daily basis, I'd think they of all people would know how to handle a timid dog - apparently not. Really unimpressed with their customer service, and clearly their unwillingness and understanding of any dog's behaviorial issues. 0/10, and will no longer be recommended them. read more

I came here because the reviews were great. I have a maltese-shihtzu puppy who has long beautiful hair that can be hard to maintain. She had some matting in her hair that needed to be brushed out. The groomers decided that they needed to shave her hair instead of taking the time to brush it. I never asked them to shave my dogs long hair off. Not to mention they didn't take the time to even the hair out. When i picked her up the groomer asked if this was her first time getting groomed and that she needed to be trained and she moved to much. He kept saying he did all that he could. Extremely upset with this experience. They did the exact opposite of what i asked for, actually the nightmare situation ive been trying to avoid. They were pretty accommodating to my schedule at first, but called at the last minute to say they were delayed. When they finally arrived I specifically told them I wanted my dogs hair short - just long enough so it wasn't stubble - but they barely cut her hair at all. I was also promised a nail trim but they did not appear to have cut her nails at all. When I asked them about it, they said that the had 'long veins' and they did as much as they could, but I've cut her nails way further without any bleeding. Best part is I was told I could pay with credit card but the guy forgot his square so I had to find some cash. She's still damp from her bath and her mommy is not happy. read more

With a heavy heart I feel confident and compelled to describe my experience with Antonio. As one of his very first customers I took a chance having Antonio come to my house to groom my beloved dog. He did a great job for a fair price. I wanted to support him and decided to take my time to recommend him to my neighbors, friends and on another site. Big mistake! Over the next year I watched the decline of his work as his prices rose. The last time he groomed our dog, he got dirty water in her ears causing her a serious painful ear infection. This was confirmed by her vet. Also cost us hundreds of dollars in vet bills and left our dog in severe pain. As a result Antonio promised us one free grooming. He never followed-through. He just gave one excuse after another. Now he's charges $100 for his services. Give me a break! I didn't go out of my way to recommend him expecting special treatment in return. I recommended Antonio because I believed he was a good groomer, had integrity, and loved animals. Not true, in my experience, he loves money. Worst of all, he has no integrity. If you want a sloppy overpriced job, call Antonio. Also I suggest that you make sure he doesn't cause your pet an ear infection.
