We phone in the order for two sandwiches and they are usually done in about 5 minutes as we are walking through the door. Coupled with some coffees, it's a good start for the day. The decor of this deli is so Old-world Italian. Little roosters around, frozen fresh pasta and ravioli. They usually also make special deserts/sandwiches to the right of the cash register that look so tempting. I ordered the "Psycho Chicken," which sounded great on the menu -- chicken cutlet, bacon, mozzarella, and chipotle mayo. But the execution wasn't there. I asked for a hero and got a roll. I asked for the sauce on the side and got a sandwich completely drenched in it. The chicken wasn't sliced, so it fell apart immediately, and they forgot the bacon entirely. On top of that, I waited almost 30 minutes for a $15.50 sandwich that didn't taste good. What really threw me off, though, was what I noticed while waiting. I saw employees vaping right in front of the food, and I watched them handle money and then touch the food with the same gloves -- which makes wearing gloves pointless. On top of that, the staff seemed irritated with each other the whole time, like nobody actually wanted to be there. The place feels rundown, the service is uncomfortable, and the food didn't deliver. Based on what I experienced, I wouldn't recommend it.
