Deli Finns sits in a cramped little strip mall on Merrick road and if you can find a spot, you are in luck. Full service deli: sandwiches, breakfast and other hot and cold dishes for the lunch crowd. I've only been there for breakfast so can only talk about that: they get the order going and back out fast and get you on your way. Coffee is ok - nothing to write home about as far as taste goes, but it is hot and fresh, so there's that. Prices are average for the usual bacon, egg & cheese on a roll. Overall a solid 2-star deli. Give them a shot if in the area. Parking sucks - so use caution. read more

I head about Finn's from a friend and decided to pick up breakfast before work. When I went in, I was greeted right away. I placed my order and paid quickly. While waiting, 2 other employees checked to make sure I was being helped. The sandwich was delicious! I got the Boss which is bacon, egg, mozzarella cheese and home fries on a roll. I substituted sausage for bacon and asked for the eggs scrambled. The sandwich took only a few minutes. It was delicious! Eggs were cooked perfectly. Cooked through but moist and fluffy. The home fries had a little crunch which is a great added texture in the sandwich. The roll was nice and soft. I'm definitely going back. Not sure if I will get the same or try something else because this was so good. read more

I recently ordered from Finn's Deli (first time). I had ordered from the "Breakfast Platter Menu" an order of Pancakes. In the picture it shows pancakes, sausage, and bacon. When I received my order it only consisted of 3 pancakes. I called to find out what happened to the other portion of the order and they stated it only came with 3 pancakes. I questioned the gentleman on the phone, if the order only comes with three pancakes why would it have a photo with sausage and bacon included and why would it be listed under platter when pancakes were the only thing that would be included. He stated that there were options to add to the order but that did not rectify the situation. It is very misleading to provide a photo and also have the item listed under platters when it is in fact only pancakes being sold. Safe to say, I will not be ordering from this deli again. When ordering, I looked under "egg breakfasts" and saw sausage and cheese with the option to add toast. So what did I get? When I walked into the store I noticed at least 2 signs that said you require a masked to enter and I was masked so I thought that was great. I have been here a few times now. My experience is usually mediocre. The place seems clean, is always organized but the staff looks painfully miserable. This time I decided to get roast beef again. When I asked for roast-beef I did not expect the roast beef to be mooing from inside my sandwich. I have gotten roast beef hero's before and wow it's usually not dripping with blood when I bite into it. I'm not one to write one stars but I have gotten food from here a few times and it's usually decent... but wow this time.. this is just disgusting. Based on what I got, this place deserves more of a 3.5, but as for seeing some other stuff, etc, I'll temporarily give it a 3. Went here for lunch and ordered the Pequa Chief on whole wheat hero. First off, it impressed me they had a whole wheat hero, that was not bland, it tasted pretty decent. The pequa chief is chicken cutlet, pepper jack, tomato, lettuce, and ranch dressing. The chicken itself was just above average, not a lot of breading, and it was not overcooked, but you could tell the chicken was probably sitting there from the day before. Overall, I was impressed with how the sandwich came out, neat and well portioned (sometimes hard to come by at a deli, its usually messy and huge, or neat and small, yea yea yea, thats what she said) and had a pretty decent taste. I was unsure about the ranch at first, as I usually get thousand island on a hero of chicken cutlet, but with the pepper jack it worked out well. The hero was warmed up correctly, the only thing i'd do differently is probably add bacon to it. The reason this is not getting a better rating is because some of the things in the window looked bad, like the ribs and mac and cheese, plus I want to try something different out again. I gotta say though, it was a very nice and clean deli, and the two ladies behind the counter, very nice, and not slow to make the sandwich either. I'll be back to try it out again. read more

I have been going to Finn's for many years. This used to be our family favorite for anything from quick sandwiches to hero's and trays and always highly recommended to family and friends for events. After ordering for delivery, our breakfast came except missing for someone. We called and asked what had happened, they said they removed the specific item off the menu and it's not their problem and beyond rude. We were only refunded it after we called and emailed but we're never told the item wasn't available or asked if we would like to change it out. Example: If you were to order "The Beach Club" sandwich with no tomatoes, you may end up with..... I used to love this place. Not so much anymore. I always stay away for a while , then give it another shot and leave unhappy. I don't know why everyone has such an attitude. Every time I call the phone is either off the hook- or I am answered with an attitude. You call in an order but then end up waiting on a long line anyways. By the time I get my food it's cold. They don't have a pick up area unless your Uber eats. It's so disorganized . What the heck is the point of calling in an order if I can't grab and go? I wait on the line anyways for cold food! The food is good so i won't say anything bad in that regard. For some reason I just always feel frustrated or unwelcome every time I go in there , and since I work in customer service , I can assure you I'm not that mean nasty customer. I try and be pleasant and everyone seems like they hate their jobs in there. It's sad because it's hard to find a decent deli with good food, but sometimes you have to venture outside your comfort zone. Off to sequa. I hate long island deli's because they are all the same ****. This one is a cut above the rest. Than sandwich was ACTUALLY PREPARED NEATLY. When it comes to sandwiches, that's 1/2 the battle IMO. Service takes a little more time than a normal deli, but that is because they actually make you a sandwich and not just throw any old thing on it. Cold cuts are great and so are the egg sandwiches always hit the spot. I recommend the Brano Bomber! read more
