They recently closed and I took it to this shop, definitely exploiting the fact that they're the only alterations place nearby. Crazy ridiculous price to hem my pant. I figured I support local and try this place out since it's been in wahiawa for a long time. I dropped off 3 work pants to be hemmed 2 inches and paid $60 dollars. When I went back to pick them up they gave me a batch of clothes that wasn't even mine and my husband had to go back to get the right clothes. Then come to find out they didn't even hem my pants!! I got ordered two more of the same pants and compared them and it's all the same length same sewing ! What a rip off! read more

Kind of soon I know but they still said they could do it and that they would call when it was ready for pickup, never called and when I realized they were about to close I rushed over but the place was closed and empty on the dot. I was so unprepared for my biography photo because I literally forgot to have my most recent rank patches sewn own to my blues and I was panicking. I found ASAP Alterations on Yelp and gave them a try since I was in dire need of their service and prior reviews stated that they were super quick with their work. I was in Salt Lake at the time and they are located all the way in Wahiawa. I made the drive anyway and I'm so glad I did. They are located on the right side of the road when going into Wahiawa and they have a small parking lot that's a one way drive in on the side of their building. *** I actually called ahead before heading down to ask if they would be able to do it within the hour and they said yes. I called multiple places too before I finally made the choice to see them. When I walked through the door, the shop itself had an old "mom and pop shop" feel to it and didn't look the cleanest. The seamstresses were all Asian and the place looked kinda run down but I still chose to hand them my blues uniform and hoped for the best. I told the lady my basic needs and handed her the patches too. I only needed her to sew on 2 patches, 1 on each arm. I asked how long it would take and she said 30 minutes. **I was soo relieved to hear this!!** She then told me I could wait on the side and she gave me a chair to sit on. I played on my phone a bit and she went right to work. Before you know it, she was done within those 30 minutes and I was excited to see her bring the finished product over to me. She showed me her work and I was happy. For payment, the shop takes both card and cash. They had an ATM inside their shop too if you need one. This fast patch job only cost $25 or so and I tipped her too. I left the shop with my completed uniform and made it to my photoshoot on time with a successful biography photo taken. Although this shop wasn't in top shape, I would like to describe my experience with the common saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover." My rating is because of their great customer service and quick but quality work. While I waited for my uniform to finish, there were at least 5 other military service members that walked in to pick up their uniforms. This shop is really popular with the military personnel in the area and it shows. They didn't disappoint at all and I would come back for their services again. Got some alterations done on a suit that my daughter needed for a school competition. Chose this place over others around because of mostly good reviews and the name being ASAP suggesting they can do rush orders. There is parking in the back of the building but the entrance is before the building and thru a rather narrow passage. A but tight for a big van. There is free municipal parking lot right before this building for bigger vehicles. Went in on a Thurs shortly before closing and requested pickup on Monday. Went in around 11am on Mon to pick up the clothes, but they weren't ready. Was told the person only works certain days and it is next in line. Come back after 200pm. They could have easily told me to return after 200pm on Monday when we left the clothes, but they didn't so i had to make an extra out to Wahiawa. The coat and pants fit well after the alterations, so that was good. The workers were very nice. Review would have been rated a 4 or maybe a 5 if not for the poor customer service about the pickup time. read more

But when first sergeant says in the formation today, ASU inspection tomorrow, you already know where to go, it is in the name ASAP Alteration. I have had services done here few times, and I don't see any improves. Price is reasonable, obviously more expensive than other alteration across the Nation. Parking lot is on the side. It can get busy sometimes, but hey, that is life. The staff are very courteous and expert at what they do. I do support middle class businesses and this business is one of them. I went to ASAP because my previous Tailor did not keep her word when offering to correct a mistake. Also got tired of trying work my schedule around hers. The quality of the job and customer service is questionable. The language barrier is hard to miss. My husband needed his uniform dry cleaned and set up. He specifically told them to set up the short-sleeved shirt. He gave them all of his stuff in a zip lock bag so it was all together. He picked them up today and the JACKET was set up, but the rank was on the shirt and not the jacket. Also, he gave them one set of rank (for the shirt he needed set up) but somehow he ended up with another set of rank on the long sleeve shirt? He also ended up with an extra ribbon from someone else too. PLUS the shirt that was SUPPOSED to be set up was wrinkled. So in short: got his stuff mixed up with someone else's, set up the wrong part of the uniform, AND was wrinkled. Thankfully we got some of our money back, but still. He needed this last minute, and now he's having to set it up himself even though he paid for it to be done. read more

Place is horrible. People are unable to sew straight on name tapes. Got a hole in the asu top when making a rank change from e 4 to e5 making the top unserviceable . Pants alteration is also horrible with visible sew lines where the pants was altered.how this place has 4 stars remains a mystery and should be black listed. read more

I took a brand new pair of Madewell jeans in for a stain to be removed. When I got the jeans back a few days later, the original stain was gone however, a brand new stain on the front of the jeans had appeared. It seemed as though the metal zipper somehow had its color removed and had run onto the jeans. The leather tab on the back had been completely destroyed, with the stained leather's coloring running onto the jeans. I came here because I needed more room in the shoulder area of my ASU jacket. Another alterations place down the street told me that they couldn't do it, and that I would just have to buy a new jacket. ASAP was able to do it and they did a great job. This place is horrible I should've checked yelp before even taking my daughters highschool winterball dress here to do one little thing (bring the slit from 5 inches above the knee to under the knee) they said they could do it for three dollars then when we picked up the dress charged $15. I don't mind paying the extra if it was worth it but just to close up five inches on a dress and then give a quote in the beginning just baffles me. Mind you the stitching isn't even clean it looks like a beginner did it. On top of that my daughter spotted a hole when we got home above the stitching. They're the worst!! OVERPRICED! I went in there for measurements only. That's it. Nothing more than them to measure 5 different spots. They didn't even have to write it down. Just tell me what it was. The first lady said $5. Which to me seemed reasonable. Then another lady came out and said $15. She was very rude. Even the first lady knew that was unreasonable. I left without my measurements. Prices for dry cleaning non uniform items are very high. They do quality alterations and repairs and are always very nice and friendly.

Went here after it was recommended by one of the guys at Aloha Dry Cleaners. I assumed since Aloha is so awesome and their staff so great that this place they recommended would be too...but not so much. They're pricing is extremely unpredictable and often times irrational for the work done. You can have the exact same job done on different days and pay 8$ for one and 17$ for the other. On a similar note, they will charge almost 20$ to sew something that I watched them sew in the spot in les than five minutes with maybe 4 stitches total...that's a labor rate of 240$ per hour...which is absolutely ridiculous, especially given then many other businesses in the area that offer the same services. read more
