I can't recommend him enough. I am very lucky to have met this fellow. Bill is a reliable and hardworking locksmith who really helped me in a tight spot. I had a property manager who selected a less than reputable locksmith. They had taken the old keys off site, and forgotten to rekey the door to the basement, the only way in or out of the basement. The first locksmith not only had forgotten to make the key to begin with and taken the original keys away. He also had lied saying he had returned to make the key. This is a vacation home, and I had guests using the property for the July 4 weekend. I asked them to try out the keys on the basement door, and of course the first locksmith had not done the job. Still, there was no key to the basement after two alleged trips to the property. (I live 150 miles from the property, so had property management people dealing with this, and they are 30+ miles away in Greenville.) The HVAC air handler resides in the basement. Upon the guests arrival, the HVAC was not working. Since we had no key, we were nearly forced to kick in the basement door to fix the AC. We waited until a hvac repair crew could be sent out before destroying the door. That was when I found Bill (ASAP Locksmith). It was 11pm on a Friday night, by this time. He set expectations properly, organized with the guest at the property his service call, and executed the work by noon the next day, at which point.. the guest and Bill figured out what was wrong with the AC, and fixed the AC with an easy adjustment to the air handler door hatch, securing it shut so the AC would work. So, not only did he correct all the key issues, he also helped with the AC! I also had been trying to get someone to fix the front door, whose door knob had fallen apart. The first locksmith also was supposed to have done this, but left a gaping door knob hole instead. Bill fixed the door. Bill also moves gun safes! I was quoted all kinds of ridiculous numbers for moving the 2 safes in the property out to the garage (the safes were sold along with the house and were in awkward locations). We recently had an issue with theft at our home and called ASAP to change our locks in our doors. ASAP was able to schedule and be at the house that day - which was a great relief to myself and my husband. Upon arrival and inspection of our current door locks, Bill took the time to explain we had sub-par locks installed in 4 of the 5 doors when our home was built. He showed and explained to me the difference and quality of a sub-par vs quality lock system. We had the better door locks installed as they were clearly more sufficient for security than the original door locks. In addition, upon inspection the front door had a good lock system and would just need to be rekeyed, however was originally installed incorrect leaving risk for break in. Bill also took the extra time going above and beyond to fix the poor installation of our front door. My husband and I work long hours and have frequent business trips. Often times leaving one of us at home alone. We live in a gated golf community with very nice houses which are not close to our neighbors. I now feel safe and secure in the fact we had our door locks updated. Bill and his team were very professional and very friendly. Will definitely use ASAP in the future if ever needed and would highly recommend ASAP Locksmith and Security to family, friends and neighbors. read more

Bill helped me out when I lost the key to start my car. The key I lost has a chip in it to start the car, not just open the doors. Bill could sell and program such keys, but also pointed out that I could buy some online with the remotes for the doors and trunk built into the head. I could afford the time, so I ordered the keys with the remotes online. When the keys arrived, Bill came over and got me going with one of the keys. Some of the other keys I had ordered did not work. Following Bill's advice, I sent the nonfunctional keys back to the retailer from whom I purchased them, and received a new (blank) key in return. Bill came out at no extra expense to cut and program the new key. I've now got more than one key that will start my car and operate the remotes again. Bill was very professional, understanding, and affordable. If I have a problem again, regardless of whether it's my car or my residence, I'll definitely call Bill. read more

I had a safe that was not made as solid as I expected and the code wheel broke off. Needed tax info to boot. For the life of me I couldn't find a locksmith that looked like they knew what they were doing. Everybody had FaceBook only and or wouldn't answer the phone. The one that did was going to charge me a ton to drill this thing open. I called ASAP, they actually answered the phone, asked for a picture of the safe, and said no problem and for a much more reasonable price. From phone call to payment it was less than an hour at my house no less. I can't say enough about the professionalism and work done. Bill was great to work with! He was prompt, professional, and courteous. He rekeyed all of the doors in our house to match, provided extra keys and even fixed a few issues we had with our door handles. His service was above and beyond, but his prices were very reasonable! Recently, we had him come back out to provide a few more keys for us after the copies we made at Lowe's were not working. He was able to "recut" the specialty keys and they now work great. On Saturday I found two of my deadbolts were missing the screws! I made one call and the locksmith was here in about 2 hours.
