Unfortunately the windshield of my new Volkswagen was hit by a rock and cracked…read more I called my Dealership Kuhn Volkswagen, Tampa and spoke to Earl, the gentleman who recently serviced my car. I asked if they do replacement windshields. Earl was extremely helpful and said they use Performance Glass and Tint. He said if I give him all my information he will set it up. He told me that Performance Glass and Tint will order the new windshield and come directly to my house to install it. My husband spoke to Andrea At Performance Glass and Tint and she explained that after my insurance approved the windshield she would order it. She also explained that after the window is installed another tech would come to recalibrate the safety features into the windshield. This morning at 8:15 AM Christopher arrived with the new windshield. He was fast and efficient. He explained everything to my husband and informed him that someone else would be by to do the recalibration of the safety features. Christopher explained to my husband that we shouldn't use the car for 1 hour. My husband explained to Christopher that on a previous car we had a cracked windshield and we called a competitor windshield company. They were going to replace it with a generic brand. Christopher informed my husband that this windshield was a "Volkswagen windshield" and not something generic!! At 10:20 am the tech arrived to reinstall the safety features. I highly recommend Performance Glass and Tint. They are professional and the entire process was efficient and easy!

We had to wait a few days for VW parts to arrive. Christopher showed up early. Got right to work. Shortly after, two helpers showed up. It took 45 minutes to replace the windshield. He explained everything he did. He said another tech will be here later today to re-calibrate the safety features that run off the rear view mirror. After the windshield set I have driven the car and windshield appears solid. So far i'm very happy with their service.

I chose this shop because of the reviews but I learned a great deal today. Never go on the reviews…read morealone. My experience could've been better however that wasn't the case. I contacted Tint Studio a few weeks ago to inquire about a quote and/or replacing film that was bubbling on the back of my car window. During the call, I think I was speaking to the owner, he was friendly and I was quoted a different price from what I was charged today. When I arrived at the shop this morning, the customer service was lacking a lot. Granted, I arrived a little behind schedule because my GPS was off with the address. The man in the shop was assisting another customer (which was fine) therefore I patiently waited until he was available. When he got to me, he appeared annoyed didn't really greet or reiterate what was being done to my car. Just asked for my keys, confirmed phone number and said he would call when he's finished. When I arrived to pay and pick up my car, the total was provided and I noticed the bill was $57.89 more. I brought the price increase to his attention and his response was it's due to the taxes in FL. I guess I looked slow or didn't look like a person who can do simple math but this increase was not due to FL taxes. After looking at the receipt closely, I was also charged a $7.10 non cash adjustment fee. It would've taken 1-2 minutes to give a heads up on this fee because I could've went to an ATM and got cash. I didn't have the time on my busy schedule to waste or go back and forth so I paid my bill and left. As a customer, it wasn't fair business to provide a quote that was not applicable the day of service or communicate with me about changed prices. Enjoy the extra funds, I have no plans to refer nor do business here again. UPDATE: Thank you for your response. I don't have any issue with paying sales tax to any business and as a entrepreneur myself I'm well aware of "business practices". My message directly addresses two main components that I had issues with, 1) a quoted price that was provided a few weeks ago that was different in the final bill and 2) the lacking customer service experienced during the process. I'm accustomed to final billings being broken down (i.e. price quoted + fees + taxes). The price of $120.00 that was initially quoted to me a few weeks ago and the 8% - 9% tax that the guy informed today was your FL sales tax. All together, the bill would've been roughly around $130.00, additional fees would have brought the final bill to approximately $145.00. The breakdown for the bill today includes $39.95 extra from the original price quoted, $5.95 shop fee (No problem with this fee), $11.99 (No problem with this sales tax fee) and $7.10 non cash adjustment fee (I have a problem with this fee since it was failed to be mention prior or during the consultation process.) Honest communication is always the key if that's what your business is based on (word for word) and it never hurt any employer who is dealing with customers to have an upbeat and positive energy. Thanks for your business. Photo 1 of 1

I purchased a Line X LXP Tonneau cover from this location 5/30/24. The install was incorrect and I…read morehad to return the next day to the Line X store. I explained to the owner the tonneau cover was not tightened when installed and my tailgate would barely close. I also was unsatisfied with the cheap, stick on rubber pads installed on the cover. The owner told me he would readjust (properly install) the cover and remove the stick on pads. The cover was readjusted, however, when he returned my truck to me, he said his regional manager told him to keep the stick on pads on the cover. He also said he added extra adhesive on the pads in an attempt to bond them better to the cover. I explained I was not satisfied with the cover and had I known it had the cheap, stick on pads, I never would have purchased it. I also pointed out the scale models of the cover in the show room did not look like the same cover which was installed. I was told there was nothing that could be done because the cover was already installed and it functioned properly. No offer to exchange to a product I was satisfied with, etc. Horrible customer service and borderline deceptive sales due to an inaccurate show room model of the product I purchased. The regional manager I was told to follow up with was no help, neither was corporate. I did not see any signs saying all sales final, nor did I see it on my receipt, nor was I told that before or during the purchase. As of this date, this business has not responded to my BBB complaint to my knowledge. The business owner indicated I "ripped off" the rubber pads. The true story is when I got home after the installation, I realized how unsecured they were with the flimsy peel and stick application. One good car wash would have knocked them off. When I returned to the business, I simply and easily took off the pads to show how poorly secure they were installed, hence the owner first saying they could be removed, but then adding extra adhesive after talking to the regional rep. If the bumpers are necessary, the manufacturer does not provide a strong enough method to keep them securely in place to last. To insinuate I damaged the product in any way is preposterous and appears to be a defense to not owning up to the poor quality of the product.
