I went in for a small chip and ended up with $4000 damage they don't want to address due to their negligence. The damage even happened while I was there waiting for the car. They claim to be a paint and body shop and I ended up with paint damage to areas due to overspray as well as buffed off paint off my car from their negligence. I had a ceramic coat that is now completely dusted with over spray and areas of rear grill and plastics that was over sprayed with paint. They are not accountable for their mistakes. Do not take your car here. I took my car here after someone recommended me to them. They took forever to fix my car and said they would call me with updates and never did. They said that my car would be done by Friday and was not at all. Then once I finally sat there and waited for them to fix my car they glued my bumper back on and basically told me I had to pay extra to get it fixed even more after I paid 6,000 to fix my car originally. Now after dropping my car off a second time and forcing them to pay for a rental so I'm not without a car. They said my car would be done on a Tuesday. It did not get finished until Friday again. We have used this location twice and from start to finish the service has been excellent. this time we had some damage to the lining underneath the car and in the wheel well that needed to be replaced. Tony was super friendly, professional, knowledgable, and jumped up to assess the car right away. I had an invoice within 10 minutes of walking in and parts were ordered same day. I had to pay for the parts up front, which seems perfectly reasonable. When I brought the car in for the repairs 3 days later, I had to wait while they worked on it, so they stared on my car right away. The waiting area is decent with amenities of water, Keurig coffee, and wifi, so I was able to do some work while I waited. They were fast and I was completely satisfied with the installation. Tony pointed out another potential issue that wasn't critical to fix right now, but we needed to be aware of it. I so appreciated that he wasn't try to upsell any more work, but just wanted to alert me to a possible concern. Hmm I was very hopeful in the beginning then I became instantly disappointed when my time was infringed upon. I got a decent quote for the under car cover and was told I only needed the one piece. I took it back the next day for the work to be done. I received a call saying that I needed the additional 2 pieces that I told them I needed initially. I was quoted a price and said I'd take my car back again when those piece arrive. Each time I've had to call to ask if the pieces were in. So I took it in and at the end was quoted a different much higher price. Had that been the case I would have gotten it done at the dealership. Anyway, I paid the price I was originally quoted with great disappointment in the service I received. I must say, Tony handled the mix ups with his staff very well. Tesla owners in Tampa are at a big disadvantage when it comes to body/paint work. There are only two authorized body shops with a two month wait and a week or two in the shop. Then there's the price. I checked several local shops because I only had a minor paint repair, no parts or body work needed. Many of them don't want to touch a Tesla; complaining about paint matching, since Tesla has so many variations on a given paint code. Carsmetics was an entirely different story. They are backed by the major national coatings manufacturer, Axalta. The biggest advantages they have are the technology and access to pigments for color matching and rapid turnaround. The Brandon store manager Dominic is super customer-focused and managed to keep a professional demeanor even when swamped by customers. The estimating process was quick and I had a reasonable quote within minutes. Scheduling was also quick; within three days after getting the estimate. The work was also completed very quickly, two full days after dropping it off. The paint job is flawless. Perfect color match, no overspray, mirror finish, totally undetectable that work had been done. Amazing. The excellent warranty is also backed by Axalta. So if the honeymoon ever ends, I at least have peace of mind that the warranty won't outlast the lifetime of the company. read more

I had to take the time and give a review, because Joey, the store manager at Carsmetics on Ulmerton Road is awesome. At first I went to caliber collision for an estimate. When the estimate came in at almost $7000 for minor damages, I notified them that I would be picking up my car. My car was returned with green, red, and white markings on the entire vehicle. Two car washes did not remove the marks. Then went to Carsmetics, where the first thing Joey did was clean my car. And then he gave me the estimate, a 1/3 of what Caliber Collision's estimate was. Really disappointed in my service here. They returned my car not even correctly fixed. When I told them it was not done correctly they said it was a crappy part and they couldn't fix it. Truly a great place to fix your car someone backed into my 03 Volvo S60 on the back drivers side door. Took it to carsmetics and not only was the price good and the time great they also got me a rental at no cost. When I picked up my car the door looked brand new they had washed my car and I'm pretty sure the put transmission fluid in my car cause when I dropped it off it was jumping now it drives super smooth. I stopped in at Carsmetics to see about getting the trim replaced over my right rear wheel. I had been to two Mazda dealerships trying to get it fixed while it was under warranty, but the job proved to be too much for them. Then the warranty expired. Last week, I went to Tyrone Mazda and they would not fix the trim because it was out of warranty. It didn't matter to them that they failed to fix the trim while it was under warranty, and this was a continuation of the same problem, they still wanted $170 to fix it. Screw that! On to plan B. I arrived at Carsmetics and was seen promptly by Matt. He came out and looked at the problem and took off the old trim to examine the issue further. He said if I bring him the new trim, he would replace it.......without charge. I went to two auto parts stores, neither of them carried the part and neither could order it. I had to swallow my pride and go to a Mazda dealership in Brandon. I paid $66.40 for the trim. I returned to Carsmetics. They were very busy, but Matt got me taken care of promptly. I was in and out within 10 minutes. I paid $0. I offered to pay 3 times. I insisted that he charge me something, but he adamantly refused each time. He just asked that I tell people about them. So I am gladly doing so. If you have body work or minor repairs that need to be done, please check out Carsmetics, you will not be disappointed. I received better service for a job that I did not pay for than I received from the surly people at the dealership that wanted to charge me to fix a problem they were too incompetent to fix in the first place. I am not saying that Matt will fix your car for free. I am saying that you cannot beat the customer service. I brought my personal truck here after it was backed into by a work vehicle and work was paying for it. The damage was a small scuff about the size of a pencil, no joke. Work requested I get 2 estimates and Carsmetics was the cheaper of the 2 by over $400... I found out why. I brought it in on a Monday and they just told me it would take two days to paint the whole bumper because you can't just paint the spot. Fine, I get it. I get it back the second day and you can tell the paint doesn't match. Whatever, it's a 2015 truck so it's not perfect. The next morning, I look at the bumper in the daylight and the paint has dried with streaks in it as if it were still wet and runny and I couldn't do anything about it. I called them and told them, they said bring it back the next day to look at it. The front desk attendant looks at it and says it needs to be fixed, bring it back the following Monday. I bring it in and they said they were going to fix it in a day. Towards the end of the day, I get a call that the "bumper is not taking the paint, so we have to sand the whole bumper".... shouldn't that have been done to begin with? I'm no body man but you can't paint over paint. So then they tell me they need until Tuesday evening. I get text messages with pictures from an employee that show the pictures below: the bumper was never sanded and they tried to primer it over the black paint. So I call back and they said they're ordering an entirely new bumper from the factory. They said it would be painted black to match and would be done Wednesday evening. At this point, my work has paid for a rental car. I have noting but praise for the superior professional service and outstanding customer service I received at the Brandon location. When they say they guaranteed the repair, this is one shop I can vouch for, they stand by their word. I had some body work done on my car about a year and a half ago. Although the chips on my bumper could not be verified as my fault or theirs, I was given the benefit of the doubt and the bumper was repainted, my seven year old car shined like it was band new for the second time thanks to the professionals at Carsmetics. I don't say this often, but this is the second time I have had my car in this shop. Our 2 year old crossover vehicle was pretty badly damaged after a huge wild boar ran into the car, hitting us broadside, blowing the tire out and then rolled under the vehicle... Obviously, we needed serious auto body services. We remembered having taken our auto once on a referral to Carsmetics in Brandon. Mike took our call at almost closing time and reassured us that they'd get it in immediately and also drive us over to Enterprise for a car rental. From start to finish, they made it easy. Mike stayed in touch, and worked overtime getting all of the damage covered, and then worked really hard to find us a new tire to replace the blown tire -and was able to get pricing that kept us within our budget. Most repair shops and the dealership quoted me $400+ to fix a minor deep scratch. Another wanted my car for 2 days and to take the bumper off while they worked on it. Then I was referred to carsmetics locally and I was skeptical about the low price they quoted me but at that point I thought there is nothing to lose. I got my car back the same day and couldn't pinpoint where the scratch used to be. They have however accidentally painted over a bit the underside that's black and it sticks out a bit from a low angle. Doesn't matter. read more

My husband just got the dent in his car repaired and it really looks great. This car had previous damage so the repair was not run of the mill. They told him it would be a day, but it ended up taking almost two days. I would have said they were inexpensive, but I got a quote to repair minor damage to my car and got the same quote ($2 difference) from Maaco which had not seen the original quote. They did good work and the staff was courteous so we have no complaints and would recommend them. read more

Not impressed. I had to bring my car back a second time because initially they didn't have the correct part and they "forgot" to do a finish coat on my side mirror. A month later, I discover pieces of my car hanging underneath.
