Can't say anything good about this company. We had a wedding in my back yard on Saturday. All of…read moretheir equipment was old and ragged including the tent, tables and heater (that had to be reset again and again). The 20x40 tent was poorly set up. they only put 3 stakes to hold it in place. I had to install 4 of my own stakes to hold it down due to pretty strong winds on Friday. It also leaked during a rain storm on Friday, luckily it didn't rain on Saturday. They also did not review the equipment inventory and get a sign-off for it. Thank goodness there wasn't a discrepancy, but they did take one of my personal propane tanks. I had to call them to ask that it be brought back, which the owner has promised to personally do before Thursday. That said, the worst part for me was that there was very little communications on when they would install and remove their equipment. They just showed up and didn't have the common courtesy to let us know they were there. I could hardly believe it when they showed up unannounced in my back yard before 10:00 am Sunday morning and began removing their equipment (remember, the wedding was the night before). When I confronted them they complained that all of the decorations were not removed from the tent and that the tables and chairs weren't properly stacked for them. Due to the contract.... that was in Feb 2016.... My mother in law to be, DIED and my father has cancer and had a quadruple by pass in November 2014, so I had to cancle my wedding to help them with money (which is devastating all in itself ) and she held my feet to the fire. No one else did. The hall, photographer, cake baker, etc... everyone gave me even the deposit back to help me with our families medical bills. Which they so didn't have to do because they actually did work... Except her she met me once and had 2 phone calls... oh and some emails. Which 90% of the conversation was about canceling because of our families situations. .. she didnt plan anything or do anything. Oh no wait she put a post on facebook....woopie.... She wouldn't even give me half of my deposit back. She told me she couldn't because of the contract that was 2 years in advance and she could only give me something back when someone else booked with her.... what?! Are you serious. Although I did not use her as a wedding planner (didn't hire one at all) I did use her website (and subsequently, the discount) on my invitations. She must have contracts with a lot of the vendors because she offered the best discounts I saw in all my searches. Her customer service is top notch as well. When I sent in my order, she emailed me a question to clarify what I wanted on my RSVP cards. I had omitted something and she suggested I change it, which I did. I was pleased that she contacted me personally for that clarification, and very happy that she helped me improve the cards! I used her services on my invites, then advised my sisters-in-law to check out the website for their weddings. The only drawback I can see is that I think she only works in Michigan, so she may not be able to get discounted invites for people who aren't residents of the great mitten.
