I will not be back, I had this issue happen twice in the last two weeks with leaked terpenes. The first time they replaced it, then they gave me $5 the second time. First time going to a dispensary and to ever buy weed. I don't know much about it but curious and eager. Though I was strangely scared and awkward about it. When I entered the was a guy/guide who asked if I have been there before and I said no. He proceeded with explaining how one would buy. There is a terminal like a large ipad/monitor where you shop for what you want. I was surprised to know that there are so many categories (stick, buds, edibles etc.) and varieties. Each item has a description like flavor profiles and chemical content percentages and stuff. You then check out and then like at a pharmacy, you get called when it is ready. It is not FDA approved and so it's cash only. Credit cards cannot be used to pay. I felt adrenaline just having to go through this buying experience yeah I'm square. read more

I am a medical patient and when I buy they always do something to screw up my license to where I have 30 days to fix the license issue caused by Ascend or my license is denied. These gas station employees are not qualified to handle any kind of medical care, pharmaceuticals, documentation or licensing for any REAL medical patient. This is (was) actually my favorite dispensary. Easy process, always a really great selection, not the worst prices. Cutting to it, now I'm never going back if I can help it. Today marks the second time the door employee has either hit on me or actually asked me out. After the first instance, when he asked me out, I told an employee what happened and who did it and they said they would do something about it. Clearly nothing happened because two weeks later, today, he's working the same position and hits on me again. It'd be one thing if he was my age but this guy is 40 at the very very least. I'm 23, gay, and a woman alone -- I officially no longer feel safe here. Additionally, other men, older than him, have also hit on me at this location. Y'all, I'm not *that* cute. I don't talk to anyone when I'm there and I always stare at the ground or my phone. Difficult process to buy here; order online, then park and walk about 75 yards to wait in a long line, they verify that you have already ordered, then you wait a lot longer. After 25-30 mins they let you inside, where they fill your order. You can buy add-on items, but nothing is visible - no display. Much more difficult than in CO, and also more expensive. read more

Broke my ID, laughed at me and refused service. And I went in there with an ID that had a small crack the idiot taking the IDs at the door who was clearly high snatched it out of my hand and broke it through and through. He then had the nerve to tell me he couldn't except the ID. He went to get his manager. Ascend is the only dispensary I've been to since being in Illinois. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about what they're selling. Prices are insane but they're insane all over because Illinois taxes the crap out of THC. No complaints really besides the price (ascend has 'ascenders' club which you can join for free and get deals) and the inability to see what you're buying before you buy it. Sales aren't respected. Went in today with an order that added up to 110$ before tax (7g of Mac 1 and 7g of animal cookies). They were out of the Mac 1 - I ordered at 6am and came to pick it up at 9:45am (my allotted time slot). The price on the website was 50$ for the animal cookies popcorn and 60$ for the Mac 1 popcorn. After a long time at the register trying to find a replacement for the one they were out of they had a manager finally come over. He barely looked me in the face. The place was packed so I wanted to leave. I should have paid more attention to the receipt. I ended up paying 60$ for animal cookies and 70$ for the replacement bud. Once I got in the car I realized the ridiculousness and why my checkout lady seemed perplexed when reading my receipt. They acted like they were doing me a favor taking 10$ off a bud I didn't even order but had to settle for. Cut to the car- I look at the receipt and realize I was screwed over not once but twice. 20$ is a ton of money at Christmas- especially these days. My experience was pretty amazing today. I drove to 2 Executive Drive, Collinsville, IL, 62234. There was clear entrance where all the cars had to enter. I drove in and went to the parking place they asked us to park at. There someone at least every 20-30 feet which made it impossible to not know where the entrance is. You wait in a waiting room, get in the main part of the building. It feels super similar to being at a big amusement part, but instead of a roller coaster ride you get weed. I worked with Connor K (ID: 51621) and he was a peach. The whole time he hyped me for the order, gave advice about dosage, and was just a kind, efficient, & friendly guy the whole time. I've been to the Ascend in Fairview Heights. Friendly, professional place. This location is as unwelcoming as I've seen. Recreational buyers have to park in another parking lot on the next property and as you're trying to walk in, someone yells at you to walk around outside a fence. About five people working the lot, just a lot of unnecessary hassle. Been to many dispensaries here and elsewhere, this was by far the least pleasant. Talked to some tall burly security-type guy. He was so incredibly rude!! I had tried to call ahead three times and no one picked up. When I pulled into the lot he asked me if I was recreation or medical. I told him recreational to which he shook his head and said "you're not even supposed to pull in this parking lot. You're supposed to park in the back lot. This lot is only for Medical use." He then asked " did you make an order?" They've definitely improved their method of taking customers to the dispensary from the parking lot. Very little wait time now. Staff is always kind and knowledgeable. My only complaint is there is no reward system in place, anymore. There are no perks to coming to Ascend, especially with all neighboring dispensaries opening up. I've spent almost $2,000 here in the last MONTH, and have literally nothing to show for it. Not even a free lighter lol. This is a bit ludicrous, considering every single dispensary I've ever visited has had a reward system in place for loyal customers. Ascend has very good selection of a wide variety of cannabis products. Plus, most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. However there's room for improvement...your parking lot is in desperate need of instructional signage to help guide people. For example, markings on the ground, posted signs to direct to exit, or construction cones or boundaries places in locations that are "off limits". Often, it is expected that customers know "what to do, when to do it, and where to go". Ascend can be more proactive in communication or directions to customers on site - it would prevent frustrations for all parties! read more

I understand there are "COVID" precautions, etc. BUT this place is SO beyond controlling from the moment that you drive up into just ONE of THREE parking lots being utilized. BUT you don't know which parking lot you're allowed to pull into until you get there. Why isn't this information in the email receipt that you're asked to show when you pull up? That would be helpful, first of all. THEN, you're instructed to go and park, whether in that parking lot of having to drive to another. Now, the parking lots are occupied by at least 10-15 dispensary workers. WHY!? Why does it take 2-6 people standing in a parking space to direct me to drive into it? That's frustrating in itself... it makes me feel incompetent. Really unnecessary. Then, you're asked to show your email confirmation code. I cannot tell you how many times these people have such a negative attitude when asking for this info. Not only that, but just tonight, I was asked by THREE other people to show the exact same info. Unnecessary. I can't understand why it's ok for these dispensary workers to talk to clients however they want. I see a bunch of kids that just stand around and take serious pride in bossing people around. It's absurd. This place is beyond stressful. If you suffer from anxiety, please be very aware that this place is probably only going to make it worse. Looked like you were walking into some type of intake (dark, concrete, small, basically creepy) but then the staff started talking and everything felt different. I have enjoyed every purchase from here. Not much guidance on what to chose so look online for other people's opinions before purchasing if you are that type of individual.
